I like the way she speaks the rules to understanding English for me word to word clearly, i feel relaxed comfortable understanding .🌹Thank you for that issue solved I found with her.👍
Thank you so much! I passed my test yesterday and I feel great! I never thought I would since it was my second take. A lot of people here on the island usually go through a lot of tries, but I knew I had to get serious with it. Therefore, I did some research and stumbled upon your video. It really helped me in my decision making. I am no longer afraid of yellow light! :D You're simply the best. Sending love from PEI
Congratulations on passing your test! We're thrilled that our video helped you make better decisions and feel more confident with yellow lights. Thank you for your kind words and love! Keep up the great driving.
This part right here is what make me nervous while driving. I probably be less nervous driving in South Korea but hey this is America and a lot of people will do some illegal thing while driving unintentional or not
Hi! Your videos are very helpful. May you direct me to a video or make one on going at about 45 miles per hour and what to do if you’re close to the limit line but the light suddenly turns yellow? Thank you so much!
You might be interested to know that in some states it is legal to make a left turn into a one-way street on a red light after coming to a full stop. Few people know this including police officers and are surprised when the ticket is disputed and won. One such state is the state of Washington the one where I am in.
For one you're supposed to treat the light as an yield light yield to the cars already out in the intersection waiting to turn. If you can stop without causing an accident or can stop smoothly stop to let the drivers already in the intersection can turn without incident
Came to this video after failing my G2 driving test. Light was green leaving the parkinglot and after yeilding to pedestrians crosswalk on driveway and edging past the crosswalk to have a better view of the intersection before turning right the light turned yellow and I took a right as I saw it as a hazard to block the pedestrian crosswalk. Should I have waited till the light turned red to take the turn because my reasoning against it was that I would be automatic fail for stopping past the pedestrian walkway
Is it alright to think of a yellow light as a danger light instead so that you know you must stop and you need to go exactly that speed limit I believe..
Idk know if you know or what but I’m going to say anyway lol…she was at a unprotected left turn so green means she has to look for any traffic and go only when cleared, but she’s watching the light at the top because of it turns red it means the traffic is going to stop meaning it’s going to be clear…yk
Generally if you enter the intersection to turn left on a green, you can make the turn even after the light turns red provided it is safe to do so. Please check your local traffic rules as there can be exceptions I would think.
i wonder if the guy who did the illegal left turn knew what he was doing. i do not know if jackie saw it but his left turn signal was already on as she was approaching the intersection. that means that he intended to turn left but why would he be on the farthest lane to the left. i wonder if he even knows the traffic rules.
Okay so If I'm just 5-10 ft from the line and the light turns yellow. Would it be safe to say that it's ok for me to go thru since I don't want to slam on my breaks if the it is 45 mph's on that road?
The lady, like most people, gets the definition of a yellow light wrong. The following is correct: 1. The engineer sets the duration of a yellow light so that you must "enter" the intersection, not clear (get to the other side of) the intersection, before the light turns red. 2. When the driver is in an "indecision/dilemma zone" upstream from the intersection, the duration of the yellow light demands a driver to beat the light. The onset of yellow demands a binary decision from the driver: either stop or go fast. There is no in-between; that is, slow down into the intersection. 3. If you slow down with intent to enter the intersection, you increase the time it takes you to reach the intersection and the yellow does not last that long. You will run a red light. It's the physics of the math behind the yellow light calculation. Therefore, in order to reduce the probability we do not run a red, we accelerate--beat the light. While the DMV driver manual says to not the beat the light, that statement is incorrect and you should regard that has entrapment. 4. There are times when you must decelerate into the intersection. Making a turn is one of a dozen such scenarios. In these cases, a "type 1 dilemma zone" exists for you. If you are in this zone (up to 100s of feet of road) around 300 feet upstream from the intersection, and the light turns yellow, you must run a red light. You neither have the distance to stop nor the time to reach the intersection before the light turns red. 5. The safe motion of traffic is not the same as the legal motion. I can slam on the brakes on a yellow, nearly make my head hit the windshield, and be safe. But a yellow is supposed to be about comfortable stopping. The lady is talking about limit lines. She is probably in California. California has red light cameras. You will observe that the cameras take vigil only at intersections where the most cars have to slow down before entering the intersection--places where many cars turn, where cars have to slow down for cars on the other side of the intersection, where cars have to slow down for cars entering or egressing from nearby businesses.
Let's recap here. "Traffic Instructor" looking at a camera to her right (lack of focus), constantly talking (distracted) not keeping eyes and full attention on the road (inattentive), is telling others how to drive correctly (clueless)? Just what we all need: a distracted, unsafe driver imagining that she is a driving role model Safety Tip: (1) Film yourself driving, executing the proper procedures and techniques in a safe manner according to BMV regulations; (2) dub your audio over the video later, in your home office or studio.

“it’s not about being right, it’s about being safe” …. That’s so true! Thank you so much for your advice!❤

Super helpful! Thank you! I passed my test. Your videos contributed a lot. Keep up the great work!
Thanks for your support! ♥ If there's anything we can do to improve your experience, please let us know 🙂✌
The yellow light has always been a mystery to most. Step on It or screech on the brakes? I love this video and your explanation. Thank you.
That car at 6:12 is crazy asf.

This lady has steel nerves. The moment when another car did illegal maneuver is just a 😱
Agree

Clear and useful, thank you are helping a lot
Very clear and useful, thank you))
Could you please post a video involving the Arrow signals, if possible?
You are the best thank you !!!!
Reminds me of "TAXI" w/Reverend Jim. " What does a yellow light mean?" "Slow down". "Whaaat daaz a yellloow liight meean?" 😂😂🤣🤣😁

Great instructor, not scary like most of them are.
I noticed that car's signal was on before Jacqueline's car stopped. The moment was so shocking. Thanks god Jacq was safe.
It's a good reminder to always be cautious and attentive at intersections. Stay safe on the road!
@@Zutobi_US Roger that! Thanks so much for the reply. Love from Myanmar!

What is the correct step to do when you have edged past the crosswalk and light turned to yellow? Do we need to wait until it turns red? If yes, why?
Why the speed sometimes went up to 38 on a 25 zone???
@5:30 it was red you turned left not right on a 2 way
What dash cam are you using?
Here in the Philippines when you get caught moving inside the yellowbox while the traffic light is in amber color you will get apprehended.
The question is can you begin to cross the white line while it is still yellow?
I just renewed my license for the first time and I’m still nervous around traffic lights.
Is it alright to think of a yellow light as a danger light instead so that you know you must stop and you need to go exactly that speed limit I believe..
Good point! Yeah, you can call it whatever you want, just remember to be extra careful when you approach one 😁
5:27 So turning left on red is legal when you can’t turn left on green earlier?
Idk know if you know or what but I’m going to say anyway lol…she was at a unprotected left turn so green means she has to look for any traffic and go only when cleared, but she’s watching the light at the top because of it turns red it means the traffic is going to stop meaning it’s going to be clear…yk
i was thinking the same thing.

I think there is a guy walking on pedestrian, so she cant turn left on da green light.
Yeah, her turning left over here makes me think too…I have my test on the 30th and the turn confused me..
What is the point of the red if yellow means stop, doesn that meam you have 2 stop signs.
Yellow means be prepared to stop.
i wonder if the guy who did the illegal left turn knew what he was doing. i do not know if jackie saw it but his left turn signal was already on as she was approaching the intersection. that means that he intended to turn left but why would he be on the farthest lane to the left. i wonder if he even knows the traffic rules.
Sometimes people realize at the late second that have to turn left at this section when they thought it was a later intersection.
@@apluto12-z3e still, what he did was illegal and unsafe. still not a smart decision for him to do.
I saw that too probably forgot it was a one way street.
@@apluto12-z3e so?? what does that mean? still stupid of him to turn left from the center lane.

Yeah go no way to stop in time without slamming breaks.
When is it safe to go through a yellow light?
If you can't stop safely. Evaluate the stopping distance, obey the speed limit and you're good!

You never speed up to beat a light if turn red white under it never speed up

If it’s yellow step on that pedal lol
Not recommended but most drivers speed up, sometimes at full throttle so they can beat the red light…just sayin’. 😂
She missed a ramming speed moment
There are NO yellow lights, they are all Amber!
Yellow = floor it
