- Опубліковано 2 жов 2024
- Today we visit this abandoned catholic school. This dilapidated and abandoned catholic school was build in the early 1900s and was founded by Polish Immigrants. This abandoned place is the home to a set of famously beautiful clue stairs with windows all the way up.

The coat hooks, I was expecting to see the names of students on pieces of tape underneath them. Excellent location at bringing back the memories, Thank You...
I remember those coat racks
I would love to take one of the desk as to use at home to be my writing table.
I went to this school for the last 7 years it was open (closed in 1997)
Wow so freaky to see it in this state. When it was open, it was actually a beautiful school. Outdated, sure, but gorgeous.
I went to first grade here!
Good explore guys!
Thanks Connie 🙏🏼 you rock as always!
7:19 where the squatter is camping looks like it could have been the chapel. I’m thinking a religious congregation of sisters lived in the school. Just my assumption!
iPhone quality is great 👍
Very cool architecture. Very neat central staircase and arched windows. When did it close?
Cool explore 🙂
Awesome! I’m not sure when it closed I tried to find out but from the level of deterioration I’m guessing 20 years ago. Glad you like the video! Happy New Year Christine! 😎
@@OnceOccupied Happy New Year to you too! 🎉🥂
The Ruud was a water heater from when the building was constructed. When I was a HVAC service tech you would occasionally see a smaller version of it in very old homes that were coal fired. I bet that one was probably also along with the boiler to heat the school when it was first constructed and later converted to natural gas. Great find and tour. 👍🏻
Glad you enjoyed it! That old water heater was definitely something you don’t see every day 🔥🔥🔥. That makes sense that they would convert it later.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, I really enjoy how you appreciate the details of a place. Another great video! 👍
Thanks John 🙏🏼 That means a lot to me!!!!!
pbr is cheap and gross hell theysell 99 can pack
Pittsburgh rocks!
The the woodwork in Windows in that place was amazing they definitely don't build or make buildings like that anymore a lot of time and craftsmanship went into detailing like that
Reminds me of 2 Catholic Churches near me that were both founded my Polish immigrants in the early 20th century. Both schools are now closed. Same style architecture
I don't think anyone is still alive from when that hot water heater was made. Awesome find! Thanks for all the great videos in 2019. Happy New year to you and those you love. ❤️☀️
It definitely looked very old. I found similar looking ones online that said they were made between 1900 and 1920. Probably installed when the building was built. Happy New Year Reba!!!!
They got the fortune out of the safe bought them a tent and a case of beer
They know how to party 😜
Quite sad all those books left to waste away
I agree. You would think they would have donated them.
We may never know what happens to all that knowledge. Crazy to think about. Have you seen the TV show “See” with Jason Mamoa? This thought had reminded me of that.
Wow! What an amazing staircase. Very unique old building. 😀👍
I went there in the late 80's...until I was in the 3rd grade. Such a shame to see what has become of it.
That staircase with that window was amazing. That ancient hot water heater was pretty cool too. Glad the tent owner wasn't home. Really great explore. Happy New Year, to y'all & your families.
You too Tamara! Thank you 🙏🏼
The green coated glass panels were chalk boards. A hell of a lot cheaper than black slate, which is what was originally used for chalk boards.
iPhone quality 👍🏻!
That’s two people that like the iPhone footage 😜 I appreciate it 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Love to convert this school into a cool house. Great quality vlog.
No doubt! That would make a killer house. Thanks for the luck and don’t forget to subscribe if you haven’t already.
@@OnceOccupied I'm a proud subscriber and will continue to share your awesome vlogs. 2020 is going to be epic.
The opera house in Jamestown, Ohio has that exact same staircase and landing. Quite unique!
Very cool. That’s near me! I’ll have to check it out!
Probably same architect or builder...wonder which came first.
Love you guys. Expatriated Ohioan here in Nevada. Your vids remind me of being back home in Dayton area
I'm in Dayton. Northridge area 😊
Subscribe so you know what your missing out on 😜Nevada is pretty nice though, not gonna lie.
We are too. Many of our videos are placing in Dayton. More than 50%. Subscribe and check them out!
New iPhone video quality looks slightly better than the goPro7.
I think so too. I think the HDR is a little better also. I really like it because it’s way easier to shoot with rather than have to get video on GoPro and photos with the iPhone. I can do both on the iPhone. Eventually I think I’ll get a really nice mirror less camera with an external mic.
What a unique structure. It would be amazing to see somebody restore it, and give it a new purpose instead of letting it fall into further deterioration.
I agree! Maybe a community center or even somebody could turn it into a mansion.
@@OnceOccupied That would be totally awesome!
The Salvation Army in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania wanted to buy it to make Apartments . But the Catholic church in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania would not sell it
An amazing find guys and I loved the Titanic style staircase. All the very best for 2020
Absolutely. I wish I could explore the Titanic! You too!
I went to that school early 70s
Drop ceilings are the worst.
Nice place. I wanted to pick book up. Good job. Happy New Year
I cut out the 15 minutes I spent going though them. That one was my favorite. We always find interesting things while exploring. Please consider subscribing!
i go here all the time…one of my favroite spots!!
I went to school there and I still love down the street from it. I always wanted to buy it and live in it all by myself even as a small kid going to school there.
I wanna visit there but i’m worried about security, is there a lot there?
@@sofiadez7193 I, too, am wondering. Have you been in yet?
Nice 10K.
You better be one of them MR WARE! 😘
They just didn't walk away, they ran, trying to avoid lawsuits!
My wife went to that song. Thank you for displaying.
Where is this, I can't find it anywhere
Sorry we don’t share locations in order to protect them. Definitely nothing personal.
This school is in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania.. the neighborhood is called Polish Hill.. I went to this school from 1979 to 1988
Definitely love the new IPhone. I have one as well and the clarity of the video and pictures are amazing!
Ruud is an on demand water heater. No such thing as a hot water heater, just water heater. If maintained they still work well today.
Glad that there was nobody home when the tent was in there definitely somebody staying there and I ran into that once with one of my other Urban exploring friends we were checking out a place and come up on a second floor of a building and someone was asleep next to a fire that they had inside of some cement blocks luckily we didn't wake them up and we left after that that's been a couple years ago back in 2013 I think it was in a place you guys had also been into
I love the quality of your video and I loved the explore. 😊
Cgreat quality on the iphone
Awesome! I appreciate the input 🔥
Neato! Great Explore!
