@@JoshuaOrro-MustangPrinceOR-YTB It's mainly based on the second and third Oz books, "The Marvelous Land of Oz" and "Ozma of Oz." And unlike with the MGM movie, Oz is real. 🙂
@@JoshuaOrro-MustangPrinceOR-YTB I thought that Fairuza Balk was brilliant as Dorothy! Her empathy with her non-human friends was so natural. And even though she wasn't required to, now and then she did evoke Judy Garland.

I never knew there was a read along book and record to the movies tie-in and boy that movie flopped at the box-office back in the summer of '85!
It did better than has been recorded, but people were not ready for the real Oz, it seems.
