A friend invited me to a new fishing spot yesterday. I caught the 2 smallest catfish I have ever caught on a rod and reel. One was a tiny channel, the other was a gorgeous flathead about 8 inches long. Prettiest flathead camo colors I have ever seen.

I went catfishing 2 evenings ago. Whole lake and like 15 A holes had to stay around the bank running over my lines when. Why do people have rude and stupid, when they could actually go out in the lake and ride around, they wouldn't even slow down around where we were fishing.

If you're bank fishing, expect to pass out a few packs of cigarettes and bottled water for the illegals - never turn your back on them. The best bet is to have someone help at the boat launch and take the truck/trailer back to the hut, and pick you up when you're ready to come off water. Come on down Texas way. You'll love it! That last fish reminds me of a flathead I caught in lake Havasu last November at 11 am from the dock that I estimated at 30 lbs. Cut bluegills. Fun
