As for the popularity, I think it wasn’t so much that the v3’s are the most popular, but the stock was lower due to some production delay (NB Japan even has a later release date for v3’s); hence, sold out quickly. And it was harder to get and ppl wanted them more 😉 Anyway, great review as always 💯

Alternative perspective: For me its most certainty not a buy. Simply because of the amount of the release... So many were sold its doubtful this will ever be highly coveted and/or a special release

I went straight away for the v2. I was sitting for almost 25-30 and still got em easily. I’m happy with that choice. I gave the all grey v3’s. Not that far off

I like the M990TD3, but the resale asking price is something I can't go for. I can't convince myself to shell out $300 or more for V3's. I think NB hiring Teddy Santis as CD might be a curse and blessing going forward.

Just broke my pair out today! Really nice shoe! But i saw that my pair, does not have the diamond pattern on the tongue’s..my tongue’s are smooth. I bought them at a official retailer. Really weird, but they still look good!
These look so amazing on foot! Definitely going for the v3 when they drop in the UK at the end of the month. If I miss out I'll be going for the white pair that's been teased instead. Teddy Santos really did his thing on this collection. I just wish they didn't shelf the 992, it's my favourite 990 model and I'd have loved to see TS's take on a pair.

When I go true to size, it feels the toe box has a little bit too much space and when I go half a size down it’s quite snug and I am not able to wear thicker socks…it’s a weird sizing.

These sneakers look amazing, but given how large the release was and how popular New Balance is becoming these are very difficult for me to support now, they are becoming too popular (old man yelling at clouds/your favorite band is going mainstream). Agreed. Due to many collabs in recent years, NB's popularity has rocketed. It's pretty much impossible to snag an exclusive pair like the one shown in this video. The sneaker hype culture is not for me especially being in my late 30's. I'll treat myself once in a while, but I just can't cop just to say I was one of the first few.

I have the bodega V3s and never owned a pair of the V2s so I copped those through atmos. TBH I think the 990v2 was the best.

A little bigger is always better than snug, feeling a little roomy should be more comfortable than feel them snug
Sizing really depends on your preference..I find it long to have it in your TTS . But Halfsize down a bit snug which is fine.
