I wonder if owners who use unique command words ever share them with their dog's groomer. I still remember the awkward moment when we were asked if our 90lbs pup knew "down" or "lay" and we were like "Oh! Yeah, no, sorry about that. 'Down' is to get off of something like the couch or bed, 'lay' is on her side, and *'crash'* gets her to lay down." Groomer laughed and said "that would explain why she kept trying to leave the table when we said down." 😅
Whoops! I hope your doggo got all the treats after trying to obey with the wrong commands. I found out my shelter rescue knew "place" after I would lay down a blanket or towel and he would go right to it and lay down.
Oh yeah 😂 my girl knows “go on” which means leave that alone/go away, and “off” which means get off me, but she doesn’t know “down” at all, she treats it like “go on”
I always love when the dogs look like the dryer is getting at their secret itchiest spots. The face that says, “Ooh yeah right there.” I bet it feels so nice when all that undercoat is gone!
I remember my first Pyrenees groom. It took two days, 4 hours each day. He hadn't been groomed in 3 years. I found hysterical stuff in his fur, including dead moths and paper clips! The furnado was fierce, but the dog was so sweet and the goodest boy.
it makes sense, he wanted to sit and rest because he was carrying around like an extra 30lbs of wet hair. after the blowout and drying he has both lost the water weight and the extra hair so he's feeling light and wanting to walk around.
Our Great Pyr was the dumbest blonde girl ever but a sweetheart who just enjoyed laying on the front porch and watching the neighborhood pass by. She made friends with the two boys across the road and that was everything. Her few years with us were calm and quiet which she deserved.
@@talak3544My tiny cat loved laying on my 167 pound Rottweiler, who was huge. He mourned so hard when his big buddy passed. The cats will love him, once they get used to him.
I'm not complaining about you being "the livestock guardian dog groomer" now! The difference between the size of dogs and you is comical and like you said these pups need a groomer like you that loves doing it.
My grandmother had a beautiful Great Pyrenees rescue. She was a retired livestock dog that no one wanted bc of her size and thick matted coat. It was horrible to find a groomer for her, not bc of her temperment but her size and coat. When a groomer was found it took five hours to clean her up and give her skin some relief bc the matting caused sores 😢. What you are doing for this beautiful fluffy cloud is commendable. Thank you so very very much for helping this incredible breed ❤️
😢 I think as we go along we learn more and more about companion animals. My mom was gifted a Border Collie mix puppy in the 1980s. What was wrong is she's a retired elementary school teacher. This dog didn't get enough exercise or socialization outside of our immediate family. I left home in '84 and my sister in '91 then pupper had to wait until mom finally got home after 12 hours being gone or more. When we were young we'd get home from school and let him outside he would run around 10x. After I left home, my younger sister had to walk him. But she wasn't very heavy and he walked her. He shouldn't have been living in suburbia, but a sheep farm. His later years he was overweight, protective of immediate family and paranoid with strangers. He had a stroke. He was at least 15 because our cat was 21 and died the same year or year before. My mom has never had another animal! My step father bought her the puppy! They are still married. Lol
I have a Maremma. She looks just like him but is only 110 pounds. I have never had so much fur come out of a dog before either. I keep at it all year. We live in upstate NY so her winter fur is truly meant for the cold weather. Then Spring comes.....I can look up into the trees and see white birds nests all over the place made with her fur. I saw a little bird that looked like she had a white beard fly by.
Another dog on the ‘cute dog breed list” its fun hearing all the breeds i never heard of. Im personally 100% a cat person and will never own a dog. But that doenst mean i hate dogs. Some breeds are beautiful!
I had a Maremma and yes, extremely floofy! I once measured the backend floof and his hair was 19" long.❤ I had housebunnies at the same time and in the spring when we brushed bunnies and dogo, the birds would dive bomb the backyard and gather the fur for their nests.
@@gracegoodenough5895 I have had that "floofy" in my mouth, food, clothes etc. I saw a tiny sparrow that looked like he had a white beard. What a nice nest that would be!

I’d love to see a “behind-the-scenes” video of how you put your shop back together after grooming a massive shedding dog like this. I can only imagine the clean-up must be almost as monumental a task as the groom itself!! 😮
She did make a video of a clean up after grooming two German shepherds that left her shop with fur enough to make another dog on her second channel! Edit: I'm stupid this is in fact her second channel so she has a vid of that here 😭
We had a kuvasz, with Pyrenees mix. He could/should have been brushed DAILY. We tried to keep up with him. At least he loved it. I easily could have made a sweater or two from all that warm white fur. And many times took the big scissors to cut the mats off, to jot pull on him.
I LOVE it when they go outside and you can tell they just FEEL Fancy 🤣. The way Duke was fluffing his tail in the back yard! He KNEW he was a handsome boy💜
This brought back memories. My 1st pry adopted us,came with the land we bought. He actually /originally belonged to the lady across the hill. He started staying with us all the time. Eventually I decided he HAD to be groomed. Groomers wanted $300 to $400 to do the job. We decided to do it ourselves. Fortunately we had a garden tub. When all was done, we discovered he had a brown mask over his left eye. The tips of his ears were dark brown. The rest of his body was snow white. We literally filled a yard trash bag with hair. He was a happy camper. Ran across the lady at the store. She asked if we had bathed him. She couldn't believe that my son and I had done it. However, I found out her and her 3 grown sons would bath him in a stock tank. He didn't like that because he wanted warm showers. Miss him like crazy.
I am amazed at how well disciplined these dogs are. Such gentle giants. The owner is lucky to have him. He is tired and exhausted but he still puts on a bit of a smile.
That's Pyrs for you--they're wonderful dogs and they carry themselves very well, with dignity, grace, and poise. The Great Pyrenees is definitely a breed that's stolen my heart, and I hope to own one myself someday. ❤️
@@thewolfofthestars1847Do it! I will never own anything else than Great Pyrenees as long as I live. I’m 34 now and if I live to be 100 I’m still going to have a big fluffy Pyrenean polar bear laying next to me!
He’s to polite to growl but is a master of the cold shoulder ❤️. As a long time Pyrenees mom, these videos are my favorite. No matter what, that boy is not going to do as you ask - because he doesn’t want to 😂. Pyrenees are so fantastically magically wonderfully stubborn doggers ❤
She's been grooming some big boys in the last few videos. Snuffleupagus, chewy, and now Duke. This is the high intensity workout PR (personal record) portion of her grooming calendar.
When you said that there was lots of stuff in his fur it unlocked a memory of when I was growing my dog at home and cut out a fishing hook!!! Thankfully it didn't hurt him but it was still crazy weird!
I always love when you groom the HUGE, dirty farm dogs, as well as dogs who have just been neglected or are very old and desperately need a makeover. It's both satisfying and wholesome, and I'm glad you're at the point where you're able to pick and choose! ❤
Now THAT was a lot of fur! I can't recall ever seeing a dog on your channel blow quite that much coat. At one point it almost looked like you picked up a Pomeranian from the shower floor... but it was just fur lol. I think he really enjoyed that groom!
As a retired groomer I LOVED doing the thick fluffy coats blowing the undercoat out was just so satisfying. I love your head wear that's so smart, no itchy fur face!
OMG!! I have an 11 year old Malamute and it takes my groomer 2.5 hours and she looks like she has run 50 miles afterwards.. I can not even imagine how hard this was for you both! Great job Duke looks wonderful and I am sure he feels so much lighter and is happier for your service. Thank you for being here for the doggies and their owners.
Wow, Vanessa, you sure can find the biggest Floofenators! Duke was really so good, even for sitting and moving around. That was an epic furnado, for sure. Thanks!
I get it. The self gratitude.. I clean cars. And if there's a proper dirty one. The self gratification I get from the before and after pictures, is immense.
There’s a Try Guys video where the guys get Brazilian waxes, and the waxer that works on them says she likes the hairiest ones best, for the same reason. Satisfying!
If I had a dog, I would definitely want your services. You are so good with the dogs and they know a good soul when they see one. Good job, he turned out just gorgeous.
As a Pyrenees mix owner, thank you for grooming him! I throughly enjoyed this! I also thank my lucky stars that my dog isn't this fluffy as a 4 hour dog bath would more than likely be the end of my back.
Question. I have a pyr-golden retrevier mix. Same face as Duke, but she's golden. Crazy amount of foot pad hair. This winter I was tired of mud being tracked in on her giant paws. So I shaved them, like every groomer. But it made the mud tracking ten times worse! I don't know why. Is just the opposite for my bichon and cat. Do Great Pyrenees have super absorbent paw pads or something? Have you ever experience this?
@RowanLovecraft2 my Pyrs tend to track less mud with more hair between their pads. My only conclusion is that the hair keep the dirt from being packed between the pads. On the other hand, they seem to track more water in with the hair than without. Which I guess I better.
@@jkosh2046 that makes sense. Like the wet hair is a watershed so the water/dirt combo can't fill the spaces. I know the difference was so dramatic I haven't shaved her pads since then.
@RowanLovecraft2 pyrs fur is amazing. Mine will come in dirty and good brushing will make them look like they have been bathed. White fur and Georgia clay usually don't mix, but mine stay white. Amazing breed of dog.
I giggled when you were "chasing" him around the shop with the blow dryer 😆 This is a great transformation! Keep bringing on the big dogs--they're awesome!!
As an owner of big English Mastiff’s, I am glad to see someone who loves big dogs. They really don’t get much attention, even in pet stores, it’s hard to find a place big enough to get them a bath. They mostly have stuff for small breeds. All the collars are scary or black. I have to order collars because pet stores don’t make them wide enough. They have one tiny section for big guys. Big dogs want to look clean cute too! Love your videos.
A lot of that is logistics. Yappy little dogs can live anywhere, in apartments, cars, truck cabs, and baby carriages so a lot of people get them. Same with cats. A big dog needs a yard and a big house, otherwise it might go crazy.
Maybe, but not always. Depends on the breed of big dog. The best way to pick a big dog is to look at what they were meant for, actually any breed or size should be chosen that way. Questions to ask yourself, what is my life style? Mastiff’s actually don’t need a big yard, especially when they age. They are generally quiet, easy going and pretty lazy. They need a short walk. They need enough room in the house to get around, they can live in an apartment. Expensive, but super easy. I love German Shepherds but could never own one, they need constant daily outside stimulation, running, to be happy. I’m sticking to rescued English Mastiff’s I get exactly the perfect dog every time 😊I’m on number 4.
I really appreciate how respectful you are of the dogs you groom. You care more about what is best for them than what the owners want. The dogs realize this as well. I've had one of our dogs to 2 different groomers; the first one had her scared after the first 2 to 3 grooms. We found another groomer and while she's not excited about going to the groomer she behaves so much better and does really well because the groomer takes the time to get to know her and work with her.
Duke was just an adorable cloud. Loved how it looked like it was snowing ❄️❄️and he wouldn't stand when you wanted him to then wouldn't lay down. What a funny cloud.
I really like you doing the livestock guardian dogs because it's a lot more difficult to find groomers that will do them with their size, the amount of coat they blow, how dirty they get, etc. We appreciate you!
I am a retired groomer in Maryland and I LOVE watching you work! EXCELLENT Job!! Each client is different and you really nail their personality and groom. Well done!!!
Good heavens, what a massive fur blow. Beautiful big brute of a dog. Very calm in the shower. No songs of his people sung. Good temperament. Incredible groom. Well done.

@@bojohannesen4352 Given that I never was vulgar I’ve no intention of ever being vulgar. Having owned a Siberian Husky for his full 11 year life I fully understand the term to… blow a coat. Any owner of that breed or similar breed knows the term. One ought to look up the term, blown coat on google as it pertains to breeds of dogs. It will prove to be mind expanding.
he felt ALOT cooler after that! Blowing out the undercoat is key since they shed it every 6 months or so. He was super polite - I always ask for my pyr to be on the floor during grooming because they are the cats of the dog world- usually guard by laying down and watching/listening for threats of oncoming predators - then spring into action. So, to stand in one spot for hours is more then they can generally handle without a lot of breaks.
Looks just like our beloved Mr Biggs. He was 140 pounds and not overweight. We groomed him ourselves. How he loved to be groomed. Every spring we thinned out his coat and told him he was getting a poodle cut. Great dogs.
I have a Great Pyrenees and it is really hard to find a groomer because most pyrs do not get along well with other dogs. The groomers in my area like to have the dogs wait in the same room together and no self respecting pyr is going to be quiet about that lol Plus they are a lot of work. We just do the best we can with our girl at home. But we have bought a lot of the suggested products which have helped immensely!
I get it! Our first GP was like that as well. Our 2nd GP is so sociable, he probably would allow a professional grooming. He's not as floofy so I'm able to keep him well groomed, thank goodness.
I love the way you talk to them. You comment on their personality quirks in such a positive way. I remember when you said a husky was telling the whole neighborhood that you slaughter huskies for a living. And that the dog left a generous tip when it was outside at the end. I was howling with laughter.
The dogs that come to you are so lucky because they are being groomed by a caring and very knowledgeable groomer. You do the animals other groomers won't. Thank you so much for being you, showing us what real grooming means and for taking us along ❤❤👋👋👵🏴
We had a Greater Swiss Mountain Dog(?) That grew a beautiful tricolor dense undercoat every winter. The shedding grooming took three days on sunny days out on the back lawn to get him de- shedded because there was so much fur😮😂 by then the loosened undercoat was getting itchy so he loved rolling around on the grass to rub it off while we tried to brush out the fur and the grass bits! Getting him back indoors for a good shampooing afterwards was a challenge!
I adopted a great pyr because of your channel. I had never heard of them until I had seen them here. She's not a pure breed, and everyone calls her an econo-Pyr, but I think I'm officially one of those people who has a favorite breed. She's so unique and goofy. She might also be part Collie, but man, anyone I've ever met who's known a pyr always melts when they meet her. I always hear great stories about how wonderful their Pyrs were and how they hold a very special place in their heart.
Great Pyrenees are unique and beautiful. They have very good hearing, must be allowed to evaluate strangers and are acutely aware of their surroundings. The hair should be brushed with different brushes at least 2-3 times per week. Other dogs are not welcome. But familiarity is key in allowing new dogs and people in their spaces. I’m sure you’ll find great joy and pride walking your Great Pyrenees. They will walk a few times a day. But they aren’t going for long distances and physically demanding exercise. Never ever allow anyone to shave his coat!
Yes I have a great pyrenees mix and he is the best dog I've ever had. His temperament is amazing. I've never seen a dog so tolerant of children it is amazing like he is a child magnet any time we go to the park crows of children flock to us to love on him and tell us how big he is. He is a working livestock guardian but we also treat him like a non working dog every once in a while. He gets to come inside, he goes to the park, he goes out for ice cream, he gets groomed. Pyrenees is the world's best dog I am convinced of that.
Some neighbors of a friend have two Pyrs. They're well known in town for their long walks and star turns at the farmer's market, where everyone loves them. But next door has a GSD, and they bark at each other along the fence line like border guards 😂
@@emmabovary1228 funny my dog loves other dogs… I cut a part in my fence to make a gate for my neighbors dog to come into my yard for the, to play. He loves my neighbors dog and he is his best friend. Both look for each other when they go out. Mine also adores children whereas with adults he is wary.
So hilarious, when you need him to stand for the washing (bathe) he sits instead. When you want him to sit to do his nails, he stands. When you want him to stay dry, he keeps going back to the wet shower 😂😂😂 He wins!!😂😂 Glad you're so patient 💖💖
Vanessa Does The Dukester! He was so funny -- he controlled your groom like he controls his flock of whatever he has to guard. "Well, if you are gonna get around my boy parts, I'll just sit on 'em so you can't. Na na na na na!" Duke's facial expressions told the rest of the story -- smiling sweetly and enjoying the scrubby attention. He looked Really Great once you worked sooo hard on him. Bet his owners were so pleased with your work! WOOF! 🐶💜💟💜
🤣You are right! I wonder what his eyebrow flashes meant when she was done and spraying him with cologne. He turned out like a big silky white fluffball 💜
He's a pretty chill cloud 🥰 Even after that first wash, you could really see the difference in the color of his coat... then the whitening shampoo, THEN the furnado blowout (which is sooo satisfying to watch, and which he definitely seems to love)... wow. What a transformation. (How like a dog, or even a cat, to stand when you want them sit, and sit when you want them to stand...)
He really is a gentle giant. I have gained a new appreciation for thr GP breed. They look like a porch potato, but they are hard at work protecting the family and when they need to move they can move fast and will fiercly protect. I'm amazed at your stamina during these endless grooming sessions.

You need to get a non slip rug for the big dogs. He didn't want to lay down because his legs would splay when he tried to get back up. My big dogs always found laying on a smooth surface difficult. Great job with him he's so floozy I can't believe the mess!! Lmao ❤❤
Mine as well especially when he got older. We had beautiful hardwood floors………we covered them all with rugs to make it easier for him to get up. Hes a St Bernard mix and will be 12 next month. Love my boy.
He looks so much more comfortable! The garden pics of "after" are real "glam shots". Your peonies and garden must also be a lot of work. It's all so lovely. What a lot of fluffy fur everywhere. Great camera work.
I’m glad you were so patient with him. Sometimes, he even looked regretful that he was causing you so much trouble. Some dogs shed enough floof to make a pillow- Duke had enough to make a mattress!! ❤️
Our Pyrenean used to push us into a corner, or against the kitchen units. It was like he thought we were human walls for him to lean on. Haha. He was stunning. This dog has a face just like him. ❤
So sweet, huge dogs are the best...he has the face & mannerisms of our GIANT Aussie mix Pepper Jack - blue merle land cloud w/heterochromia. He also leaned on us so hard our knees would buckle. He was a clown, too much personality to fit in 1 dog, yet calm enough to become a therapy animal (except during fireworks or thunderstorms, in which he'd kick bathroom doors shut to lock him in, or get stuck halfway under the bed). Malignant heart tumor took him FAR too early one horrible day, miss you lil bro💔

Awesome… my lgd’s are Pyrenees, tatra, Anatolian and maremma.
I had a Maremma and yes, extremely floofy! I once measured the backend floof and his hair was 19" long.❤
I had housebunnies at the same time and in the spring when we brushed bunnies and dogo, the birds would dive bomb the backyard and gather the fur for their nests.
How can people allow big dogs to grt so overweight? Their lifespan is so relatively short anyway, excess weight shortens it even more 😢
@@gracegoodenough5895 I have had that "floofy" in my mouth, food, clothes etc. I saw a tiny sparrow that looked like he had a white beard. What a nice nest that would be!
I like that he's looking around during the furnado like "Wow, I have a lot of hair"
That’s not a dog, that’s a cloud
Thought so, too! 😂
Wet, he is a vat of vanilla ice cream.
An iCloud.
He's a giant sugar bear 🐻🐨 awe 💖🫂😻😇🖖😍
A really heavy cloud
That wasn't just a furnado, that was also a furricane! Beautiful dog!
This was a class 6 furicane!

Big fella was just like "Alright, enough of that."
Wow. That polar bear just totally buried your shop. And broke your back. Unbelievable
Those big, old dogs have perfected the 1000 yard stare and the expression that says ‘I’ve seen some things’ 😄
If he's a livestock guardian, he probably HAS seen some things.
When you started rinsing around 9:30, his face was so freaking adorable. He was legitimately enjoying that for sure:)
but before at the very start he didn't like the name "beast" but i guess he enjoyed his stay...mostly...
Yes 😂😂
He was going “Yeahhh that’s that’s the stuff”

I’d love to see a “behind-the-scenes” video of how you put your shop back together after grooming a massive shedding dog like this. I can only imagine the clean-up must be almost as monumental a task as the groom itself!! 😮
She have videos of that
She did make a video of a clean up after grooming two German shepherds that left her shop with fur enough to make another dog on her second channel! Edit: I'm stupid this is in fact her second channel so she has a vid of that here 😭
@@naruuwoI always confuse both channels so I watch how long is the vid and then I know 😅
Incredible job !What a beautiful dog .He has such soulful eyes I just want to hug him.
@naruuwo ~ NOT stupid. 100% human.
The amount of yarn you could spin out of that dog, incredible!
Was thinking the exact same thing!
Get it slightly damp and it'd stink like hell though. He may be a sheep guardian but a sheep he is not!
We had a kuvasz, with Pyrenees mix. He could/should have been brushed DAILY. We tried to keep up with him. At least he loved it. I easily could have made a sweater or two from all that warm white fur. And many times took the big scissors to cut the mats off, to jot pull on him.
This big dog is amazingly, unnaturally patient and quiet.
I LOVE it when they go outside and you can tell they just FEEL Fancy 🤣. The way Duke was fluffing his tail in the back yard! He KNEW he was a handsome boy💜
Before I started watching your channels I never realized what a physical job grooming is. Much respect.
This is so wholesome 💞
So sweet
At 180 lbs...that is exactly my weight for a grown man, and my doctor wants me to lose a few pounds!
Sounds like he was lucky to have adopted your family.
💓Blessings and well wishes for you and your much loved "foundling" pyr, too. 💓
Such a beautiful, majestic dog. It always amazes me how the large dogs can be so gentle and the smaller one can be devils.
Its because people dont train their small dogs, because a small dog is never going to make news with an attempt at mauling
Such excellent lifestock guardians. Gentle and sleepy during the day, but will mess anyone up if they threaten the heard at night
@@thewolfofthestars1847Do it! I will never own anything else than Great Pyrenees as long as I live. I’m 34 now and if I live to be 100 I’m still going to have a big fluffy Pyrenean polar bear laying next to me!
He just knew from experience that it would take as long as it takes, and just has to be gone through to feel better.
😊and 😊😅
Now THAT was a lot of fur!
Made me think of a bee keeper outfit.
@@scottmacgregor3444I think she’s said it actually is a beekeeper hat!
Yes, it's to keep the hair out of her eyes and mouth.
Well the snow inside was frightful, but the dog under there is delightful 😊
Thanks!
Floofenator 😁
I think she needs a bigger shower!
"Floofenators" 😂
Satisfying!
Makes me feel better about my visits 🤣
@@lindakim3051Oh, that episode was funny! I believe my Son showed it to me. I'm going to have to check their channel now.
Thank you for your services as a car groomer
Well I have got a car for you.
If I had a dog, I would definitely want your services. You are so good with the dogs and they know a good soul when they see one. Good job, he turned out just gorgeous.
The little bear behaved so patiently and such a good boy. And that chocolate syrup indeed matched so well with his white chocolate colour fur 😊
"Little"? 😁
My new kitten is named Little Bear 😊 🐻
I love this dog!! Sooo darn cute!! & with his headband being blood-red, he loved it!
You spelled "colour" correctly! Yay!
@@Korina42if he were a bear, he’d be pretty little. Big for a dog though!
Neither of mine are quite that fluffy but my male is had longer hair, just less of it. We still vacuum daily and you still can't tell.
I have never seen a dog look so much like a polar bear! This buddy even has a polar bear nose! ❤
I just love how he's lookin' around so calmly during the blow dry. What a calm and beautiful dog.
He was looking for an escape.
I wish I could handle a huge dog. It is sad that they get passed by, when a humongous mound of fluffy dog is truly a dream come true.
We’ve had boxers for 30 years. Fairly large muscular and easy to maintain. I love all dogs. There’s a dog for everyone!❤
@@HolldollMcG you could😊I had four chihuahuas before the Mastiff’s 😂 next I think I’m trying the biggest house cat, Maine Coon, lol
HE'S THE BEST AND I JUST ADORE HIM SO MUCH!!
Duke was just an adorable cloud. Loved how it looked like it was snowing ❄️❄️and he wouldn't stand when you wanted him to then wouldn't lay down. What a funny cloud.
lie** down. That's the problem. Dog probably knows the words lay and lie.
I really like you doing the livestock guardian dogs because it's a lot more difficult to find groomers that will do them with their size, the amount of coat they blow, how dirty they get, etc. We appreciate you!
I can’t get over what a kind, gentle face and demeanor he has ❤
The dog's wasn't so bad either!
Donated for your family. Thank you for all you do to help pups! God bless.
Duke is a lovely and sweet dog. He really seemed to enjoy his spa day and as a guardian dog he certainly deserves it.
Well done.

I love how he is not resisting but not cooperating either
I love that he just watch his hair flying around the shower the whole time. He's so precious
Can you imagine the patience this dog exhibited?! Imagine having someone do all that to you for such a long time!

"And I like the blow dry too!" How much better this big guy must feel after his groom. 😊
We need to build you a larger table with a ramp for the huge dogs - to save your back 💕💕💕You work so hard- and are so caring Love your videos !
I was thinking the same thing. And a bigger shower, too.
I believe that her grooming table lowers and raise with electricity
he felt ALOT cooler after that!
The way he was just strolling around the shop and vanessa was following him with the dryer was so funny. 😂
This is a heroic grooming! I hope this pup is brought back more frequently. He's a sweet boy.
He looks so proud of himself. 😊 What a handsome floof.
He looked pleased with himself after all the intense labor of cleaning and defurring him! Great job as always
Looks just like our beloved Mr Biggs. He was 140 pounds and not overweight. We groomed him ourselves. How he loved to be groomed. Every spring we thinned out his coat and told him he was getting a poodle cut. Great dogs.
This dog is massively overweight tho. No neck and no scoop.
@@milamarshall7842they never said that this dog wasn't, they were talking about their own dog
What an amazing transformation. Duke is so beautiful. Another completely chilled-out big dog.
I have a Great Pyrenees and it is really hard to find a groomer because most pyrs do not get along well with other dogs. The groomers in my area like to have the dogs wait in the same room together and no self respecting pyr is going to be quiet about that lol
Plus they are a lot of work.
But its worth all its work. Im doing my girl on my own too
Same here. I’m learning aa much as I can, but there’s only one Vanessa!
😂"Oh God man don't back me into this corner..." then a quick shot of what looks like the dog, grinning good-natured, in the shower all alone. 😅
I just got one of those soap nozzle things and it works wonderfully!! It came with a hose, which I hooked up to my shower with a $5 adapter
I love the way you talk to them. You comment on their personality quirks in such a positive way. I remember when you said a husky was telling the whole neighborhood that you slaughter huskies for a living. And that the dog left a generous tip when it was outside at the end. I was howling with laughter.
What video was that? 🤣
Mine are a pack of raw ramen noodles
@@emmabovary1228 funny my dog loves other dogs… I cut a part in my fence to make a gate for my neighbors dog to come into my yard for the, to play. So hilarious, when you need him to stand for the washing (bathe) he sits instead. When you want him to sit to do his nails, he stands. When you want him to stay dry, he keeps going back to the wet shower 😂😂😂 He wins!!😂😂 Glad you're so patient 💖💖
He stood up for a long time.....He probably got tired during the bath so he sat in the end..

You did an amazing job with this guy, accommodating what he'll tolerate and what he won't, going with what works best at any given situation and overall giving this big fluffy cloud the spa day he deserves! He turned out great!!
I was thinking that too, and imagining a miniature version of the stand the farriers use to elevate a hoof...
I have a Samoyed and he's very nervous towards strangers, but for some reason he's always been amazing with groomers, and he's such a good boy at home too so 3 years ago I had finally got a high velocity dryer and started doing it myself too. I’m glad you were so patient with him. Sometimes, he even looked regretful that he was causing you so much trouble. Some dogs shed enough floof to make a pillow- Duke had enough to make a mattress!! ❤️
Thank you for every pup you do, important work! ❤
Giant hairy beast is definitely the correct statement. Beautiful animal.
