People should pay for the programe as it will help support the devellopers in continued improvements. It is a verry good programe and for the cost it's umbeatable
They ask you to remove certain files or pay. This isnt some hack but doing what their popup says to do. Qcad is open source so was made by a community so cant be charged for. probably those extra functions were privately made and can be charged. If you want the extra functions by all means pay the fee.
Very good tutorial, you can communicate the tool use well. Keep up the videos. If you can and if the program is possible show how "area" is accomplished with Qcad on irregular shapes.
There is no quick calculator for area you use a tool under the measuring tape image on the left side called polygonal area after choosing it their is a check box to add dimensions to drawing near the upper left of screen check it. To use its like any polygon tool you left click points as you draw around the object right click ends and connects to the first point and it gives you the area. if you make changes you delete it and start over). pretty simple just experiment with the tool.
Yes its now only in the professional version there seems to be a work around by dragging object in but 44.00 seems to be an acceptable price so it seems we need the professional version now.
Superb. This got me going on my first Qcad drawing, could not have done it without you.
Thank you John, you have a talent for clear presentation. A very useful video to help me quickly master the basics of Qcad.
I live in the UK and love working with QCad ... We use it for our CnC machine...
Great presentation

So glad I found this. Love your gentle approach to teaching. Thank you sir. Please make more videos.
Thank you Collins. It took a couple of redos so it was a bit less hectic and I was able to organize my thoughts better. Glad you like it.
Thanks for the video, I used Autocad in the 90s. New to QCad, it sounds like what I need to for city permit build house and garage.

can you help me how to import dwg file in qcad?
Following your steps but I do not have a cursor pointer. How do i turn that on ie. like your white cross hair?
When you click on a tool you will get a cross hair when you click on the pointer in the upper left corner it will reset and be a pointer again.
Could we have this to be downloadable??
I think QCAD has moved the library browser into the paid version, which is really annoying.

How would you add a title block to this?
Just click on the big A on the left start typing. Drawing a box around the dialog is done in the drawing mode of lines.
