Its really cool how Young K talks about MyDays. I know for some people thanking fans seems fanservice-y and insincere, but it feels like Young K is genuine in his thankfulness that MyDays gave Day6 a chance and propelled them to higher levels.
everything that YoungK said was so real man! even after all these years, band culture is not yet that popular like the idol ones. Been exposed to Korean music since 2010, and bands i love such as FTISLAND, CNBLUE, NELL aren't as much as popular like idol dance groups.
@@taylahgill2087 there actually so many k-bands, as the band music actually rooted very deep and way longer in Korea than idols, it's rooted back to the 70s or 60s i guess but band music are no longer the "mainstream/popular" one there nowadays comparing to idols. Korea have so many veteran bands actually like SSAW whom Day6 participated on their 30th anniversary tribute project, etc. Unfortunately, there aren't so many platforms for these bands to be widely known/spreaded, like Young K said. They might be performing on clubs or some live stages but not many on broadcasting stations. Even mushows make it harder for bands to play their instrumental live because of technical reasons.
If you don’t use a language much you will definitely lose it. I bet Jae has to speak mostly korean and so young k might not have as many chances to use it anymore. It’s been long while since he lived in Canada.
I mean, he's never been in Dive Studios before so it's a completely new environment. Eric has been there for quite some time so he's comfortable plus he IS the host

This is quite random but I think one crucial moment Young K has reached to the point where he realized about this Myday's marketing stuff was when he was told by Terry that we have been doing something together. You know, he's not doing Twitter, so this kind of information, especially from his best friend, is very valuable. He's so right about mydays being the ones who put day6's name out there because legit the first time i heard about them was from a friend who never listened to kpop but told me to listen to day6 for like 2 years. and then another friend who told me to check them out. they just felt compelled to ask me to listen for no other reason but that they loved day6's music so much and thought everyone should listen. and ever since i became a myday i've been doing the same like i literally ask everyone i know to listen to day6 and so does my best friend. we both have one other group we are part of the fandom for but we NEVER promote them, while we literally turned like 10 other friends into atleast casual listeners of day6. and the only reason i think this works is purely because of how good day6's discography is. if it weren't so good i don't think mydays would have this much confidence in promoting because we KNOW that whoever listens to them will end up loving them.

Edit: By the way bro the way myday works is a marketing way for Day6 because Day6 puts out gorgeous music to beging with, we just appreciate and scream out loud our love for day6 members and music just because you guys simply deserve it and much more.
Recently it came to my attention that in sns etc. people just get curious about why myday keeps screaming out loud about their favorites and ask suggestions to check out, then it all starts from there, they end up getting into the fandom, it is just amazing.
Seeing Young K love Marketing so much is so envious bc I also have a degree in Marketing but I just graduated just for the sake of graduating... I can't even remember half of what I learned in uni since it was such a dark past of 4 years waiting for everything to be over 😂
