After watching this series, I'm afraid I have to disagree with some comments saying it's a bad ending; lol, this is the only appropriate ending for our fl after her husband killed her whole clan. There is no other ending for her-a beautiful love story. The actress is so pretty!

If you watched the behind the scenes for this last episode you’ll see how deep the male lead actor emotionally invested to make this scene realistic that he couldn’t get out of character even after the director called CUT Peng Xiao REN and the crew members have to comfort him and helped him get out of character of Li Lychen so he could stop crying…great acting

She saved him every step of the way and loved him eternally. But he didn't care about her at all. She was horrified that she lost her grandfather because she recklessly gave all her love to the dude. She felt like she betrayed the ppl who truly loved her. She never recovered coz she realized that she blindly loved someone who wanted to possess land and her body but couldn't think of her heart and soul. And she lived with the pain and guilt of being distracted by a stranger who never cared for her. She couldn't recover from the hurt he caused her. That was a terrible burden to her and the only way to get out of that burden is to leave everything behind. Sad but glad that they didn't do a happily ever after coz if she had lived with him who knows what more betrayals he would do.
But, they made a happily ever after with them meeting in the next life, which absolutely SUCKS

Agree-she made a huge mistake when she took him to her grandfather’s tent where it’s sacred. The prince studied and listened to every movement of the horse steps, the ground, the dried flowers, the breeze surrounding the grandfather’s tent, but she insisted to blind fold him and led him there.
She choose died because life is a torture for her, lose all people that she love one by one and the one who kill them is a man that she love. She rather died than life as a dead person. 💔
XiaoFeng's love for Li Chenyin/Gu Xiaowu is insane. I can definitely see the definition of 'the heart wants what it wants' no matter what. If only Xiaowu made his choices a bit differently, this tragedy would not have happened. But I'm glad they ended up happily together in modern world.

I've watched this tragic drama love story last year. It's painful. Full of sacrifices, but eventually it's outstanding. Congrats to the cast and crew most especially to Feng xioran and Cheng xingxu. Great actors and hoping they will have another great drama.

Since her body was carried away by her brother I can't help but wonder what if she actually survived her suicide attempt and the people kept her hidden from the prince all that time. Then the prince found her again all those years later in his elderly age.

The book gives more info about them reincarnating to modern world and meeting each other again. (though i was not happy about that bc the guy did not deserve to be with that poor girl in any life. He did way to much bad to her to be forgiven!!!!)

They only made the ending that way to show how sad he was and how much we wanted it to be a lie that she killed herself in front of him. He literally had everything in the world but the one thing he wanted. This was more about regret as in maybe if he had a chance to go back he wouldn't have chosen to power over the woman he loved instead he would have chosen a different path. But time once passed can never be recovered you have to face the fact everything you ever do, Every action has a reaction. So that means every step you take leads you somewhere and you have to face what path you have chosen for yourself. And thats what the emperor couldn't do. He hated the world for letting him have everything so he wondered in his mind where he could have everything he wanted -- which was his woman alive and waiting for him in the place they first fell in love with!!
Though tragic, this is the best ending she could have for herself, the real ecstasy of her through death from all the burdens of love and it's pain.💕

She finally got her ultimate revenge against him. She took her life in front of him to let him feel the pain that she has felt.
🌼He was never good enough for her! She had an enormous amount of love in her heart for her people and those she loved but he didn’t. Everything was about power and control. He never truly loved her but just wanted to possess her.
She gave her all…..finally dying to stop the killing of the rest of her people. She had seen enough slaughter by her lover and didn’t want to see any more.
I understand the ending now. Xiaofeng killed herself to punish Cheng Yin. Even at the very end she doesn't want to hurt him. She said that the fox couldn't wait any longer... The thing she means by that is that maybe in the next life they will be together but chengyin couldn't wait any longer..she wants her to come back. She don't want anything to do with Cheng Yin so she killed herself but maybe just maybe in the future she would choose to stay that's what she means but that is unlikely(maybe If he chooses differently.).
I've cried a lot for this drama. Indeed this is the best c-drama i have watched ever.

This is not your normal love story where they fight villians then one gets kill and die. Her love for her family is so strong. Yet her love for him is even stronger which she can not overcome. So sad that her decision was to end herself only for the states to have peace. Her sacrifice makes her a super heroin.

Well the show kind of hinted that the most valued asset of the kingdom was the ninth princess. Not only was she pretty but she carried the blood of two nations. But yea I love the FL in this one. She was kind and treated almost everyone as an equal regardless of status. She even jumped into the water to save a kid even though she didn't know how to swim. She covered a little girl left alone from a fire.

الشئ الوحيد الذي عاب الدراما هي كثرة استعمال ال play back والاطاله في بعض المشاهد
الخط الدرامي للبطله قفز مع الحلقه الاخيره قفزه كبيره فلم يحدث تغير تدريجي في الشخصيه رغم كل ما مر بها وهذا هو العيب الوحيد في رسم الشخصيه
البطل المحب من النظره الاولى في اللقاء الاول ثم بعد فقدان الذاكره
التدرج في شخصية البطل طبيعي ومتناسق من شاب عطوف الى اخ مكلوم الى فتى عاشق وموضوع على فوهة مدفع الانتقام والصراع النفسي الداخلي الى محاولة الحفاظ على حبه بأي طريقه والوصول الى الحقيقه والانتقام بطريقه ميكيافيليه حيث الغايه تبرر الوسيله ،،، ولكن لم افهم لماذا لم يذهب عقله مباشرة بعد انتحار الاميره بل ظل ثابتا حتى انشأ امبراطورية السلام والرخاء ثم اعتزل وذهب عقله وذهب للبحث عن الاميره الصغيره

Scarlett heart reyo was unexpected I thought finally they will be together after so many tragedy but in last 2 or 3 epsiod they just twisted the whole plot and it was so empty and sad I really didn't expected that....hear I knew this was going to be tragedy....this ending was perfect her living with him would be unfair but moon lovers actually broke my heart
@@fablabi3962 I'm not talking about the Korean version (though, yes it still heartbreaking), since they've based it on their version of 3 kingdoms.. the original Chinese Scarlet Heart has more depth and story and much more people dying even eunuchs and palace maids and tribe members, minor characters that the leads are attached to..
Scarlet heart is one of the story that you'll only read or watch once🥀, just like this drama, I'll only watch it once, and let it burried deep within my heart.
The plots are similar. The main lead chooses power over love then lives in misery missing the girl who left him for what he did.
For me scarlet heard touch my heart. I still fell the pain whenever i think of it.

Cái này là mình nói lý thừa ngân trong phim nha chứ không phải ngoài đời đâu. Ở ngoài đời thì mình rất thích anh Trần tinh húc đẹp trai, dễ thương và chị bành tiểu nhiễm xinh đẹp, đáng yêu, cute.

Para mí a pesar de que es triste fue lo mejor que pudo hacer el terminar su vida, suena mal pero hubo tantas muertes en su vida por un amor que no podía soltar y para salvar a muchos decidió eso. Yo creo que sino se quitaba la vida ese amor no se iba a ser real y siempre iba a vivir con la culpa, para mí fue el mejor final que pudo tener ella y el mejor final para el y castigo de paso.

Me pareció, un mal final. Porque tenía que morir ella. Nunca se planteó matarlo, estaba loco. Y ella lo único que hace es llorar, hay pobre de mí amo a un tipo que lastimó a mi familia y sigue haciéndolo y ella solo llora, porque no deja de amarlo. Su inacción provocó esas muerte. Y hay que compadecerse de ella??

@@gabrielabeltran50 para ser sincera ella solo tenía 15 años era una niña que tenía que cargar con las responsabilidades de una princesa, no estaba preparada para ello, ella no quería que sus seres amados murieran, ni nadie, se enamoro, pensó que todos eran buenos y ella a pesar de todo el dolor que experimento nunca perdió del todo esa inocencia y decidió acabar con su vida al no poder matarlo, porque en el fondo se enamoro de él 😔 y no pudo odiarlo, por eso ella se odiaba a si misma por no poder matarlo y al final consiguió lo que quería q su pueblo fueran felices y sin guerras.
This is one of those underated series ... It has a good plot. .yes it is long but if you invest the time to watch you will appreciate it. This is one of my favorite drama as well as the saddest ending but it was a good ending.👍❤️

@@Skydancer263 i haven't watched the rise of phoenix but this story, I cried for her in each and every episode/ and the ending, its heart breaking and also I felt like my throat is breaking. I don't how to define it, I'm not a person who cries easily for melodramas like this.. but, this.. That guy is a traitor.. He loved her, but in front of others he uplifted and loved his concubine more than the princess for most of the episodes. After sometime he changed and betrayed his concubine telling he was faking love on her and there is only one person in his heart that is his princess. yk I cursed him till the end of this drama. And my gurll....she lost everything her parents, her love, best friend, memory,teacher and also her beautiful life as an adult. God gave her the most disturbing and sad life. Its better to rot and die than to live a life like this with an evil like him. Lucifer and Grim reaper's are much better than him..........
@@diyas2094 hmm? I'll have to think about this one, but if you get chance I would strongly recommend Rise of the Phoenixes. The book has a different ending, which the drama should have stayed with, but that is just my opinion 😉.

@@diyas2094 the name of the novel the drama is loosely based on is Huang Quan by Tianxia Guiyuan. It is in Chinese, I don't believe it has been translated in its entirety.

When I first watch the ending .. i end up crying...a lot like a ocean.. every time i remember the scene s i cry. At fisrt I don't like the outcome.. but as i remember the whole story i realize that it is a good ending.. and it was a good solution for a tragic love.or i mean toxic ..they love each other but it was way too complicated.
