I had to retire from the police department a few years ago after back surgery. I was depressed from that(as well as a nice dose of depression and ptsd from my years in the pd being shot at) but my wife made a cop buddy take me fishing for the first time in 9 years and I got hooked so hard. Debo was one of the first UA-camrs I watched along with Burly and NDYakangler.

You're going to love that Gamakatsu tackle box! It's the most space efficient box I've used and it's deceptively deep.
Little trick for spinnerbaits with R bends if you don’t want a clip slipping all over - put a little shrink tubing over the R bend and leave a little room for a clip or a knot. I use it for steel leaders when fishing for pike!

Every time you post a subscriber unboxing I’m reminded that I’ve had a couple packs of baits for you for a few years now. I’ve moved a bunch & keep misplacing them. I need to find them & finally get them in the mail!

That bomb shot is also great as a smaller (micro? mini?) chatterbait trailer, get those Hank Parker spinnerbaits out on the water and catch some feesh! I wonder if the skirt band will explode the first time a fish hits it? 😂
Wow, Mann's 5 and 10 + were my favourites in the 80s and 90s for our Aussie natives, before the Australian lure industry was established, they were one of the best. Them and Storm (wiggle wee and flat) Warts and Hot'n'Tots. That Classic is possibly the first spinner bait I threw. It was a Mann's, can't remember the exact one.

Those heavier ned rigs look great. I've been trying to find ned rig heads for bigger soft plastics.
I use those G-Box’s on the Yak, one for weights, and one for hooks. I’ve tried everything and IMO they are the best. You can get so much in them and they don’t take up any room.

Devon, please continue your speaking out about mental health, especially in out state of Iowa. If sometime, down the road, you would produce a shirt or hat to sell, that would go toward mental health, I would be more than glad to buy it. I know that the Aggressively Average Anglers talk about Autism during some of their podcasts. What a great venue and opportunity to get the word out and let people know where to go for help. I have a grandchild and a sister that suffer from depression and anxiety, so it is also important to me.
I have looked into something like that! I will definitely keep the awareness up!

Hey Debo have a question or anyone can answer I reclined my reels in December but I haven’t been able to fish yet this year do to taking care of my loved one and now that she’s doing better do I have to recline my reels or is it ok to fish like that thank you whoever answers
As long as the line was not in direct sun, you should be good. Uv rays will weaken the line. Braid will be fine either way. If the line has memory (curls) tie or hook it to something and stretch it out.

Tomorrow is the one year anniversary of my father’s death. He taught me to fish, so to honor him, I am taking out the kayak and gonna catch some for him.
