Actually i like how Yang Hyunsuk ( YG) being straight forward and blunt than sugarcoat his trainees. Its a tough love. He wants them to be at their best. He actually said to Winner and iKON during their survival show as well that if they ( trainees) think he is "brutal" and "heartless" , then after they debut, when they are already out there, they will come to know the real world which is more harsh. As you have noticed, none of YG artists suffers depression after debut, because they already get used to it. They have been toughened emotionally, physically and mentally during their trainee days.

Thats silly to say no YG artist suffers depression after debut. First, You'll have no idea if they are suffering from any type of depression because you cannot just assume a functioning person to be mentally healthy. Its not easy to come out and say they are suffering because its not realistic and common for public figure to say that. Second, a lot of them have gone through several major shit hole behind the scenes that we fans not know about. Imagine the people that has been shit on for breathing in front of us, GD has people petitioning for him to kill himself, Park Bom for 'smuggling drugs', Daesung for the car incident that he was ruled innocent of, TOP was overdosing with anxiety pills under police custody. Third, a lot of them has shared several lows on their life, and a lot of us sees it through the eye of media, and never experienced it first hand. They don't mention the name but they mentions a form of it, anxiety, fear, seclusion, loneliness, anger, dejected, feeling of lost. Depression doesn't have to come in the form of suicidal thoughts for us to call it depression. Fourth, even if they have been toughened emotionally, physically and mentally during their trainee days, people has their own point break, and real life doesn't work that easily to people. They are not weak but lots of it comes to the feeling of fear being seen weak. We just don't know what truly goes on their life to call them depression free.

Lee Hayi was living with anxiety as her comebacks kept getting delayed and delayed after debut. YG never disclose their artist medical privacy anyway. So we will never know who is undergoing therapy or medication.

But he also try hard to step out of his comfort zone and learn new things. For a 14 year old kid, I envy Haru's confidence. There are so many trainee who trained hard to be an idol. But there are some that was just born to be an artist. In my opinion, Haruto, Yedam, and Jeongwoo are perfect example of this. Although all Treasure babies are gifted in their own unique way...

One thing you should know in YG for predebut and artists; 1. They treat predebut the best compared out of all agency. Training in YG is free depending on your skills. Like they invest so much on their trainees for FREE. They have all classes you need to attend in order to be prepared from the outside world like Language classes, Psychology sessions to help get through that harsh training, they have debate classes, gym and they have BETTER DORMS. What you see in Treasure A dorm thats basically the dorm of every YG artists like Ikon, Winner and Blackpink 2. If they happen to debut they get 50-50 share (yg-artist) and they renew their contract they get 70-30 (artist -70). On other agency they have to pay back their training expenses and they really dont get 70/30 shares. 3. Treasure now from 1:12 dorm sharing then 2:6 sharing and now they got 3 dorms. So they are really living comfortably. Just like any other yg Artists. 4. YG dont exhaust their artists. They value QUALITY SONGS than Quantity so dont expect them to release 3 debuts a year. Its a good thing for teumes coz TREASURE literally made 3 comebacks in a year and we’re expecting a Full Album this year or early next year. But GD, & Bobby says they usually take a year to release new songs. And For Blackpink, Teddy said that their original plan is to release hit song then smash records then hit song not an album and they got a lot of songs on the studio but they are really particular with what they out out. 5. YG Artists are literally the richest IDOL. YG alone has many connections with different highest fashion brand that why most of their artists are freaking ambasaddors. 6. They are LIVE MONSTERSSSSS. Watching this again bringing back my feels when I first watched this 2 years ago. This is an emotional rollercoaster ride for Hyunsuk stans/bias like me.
@@wildkyla EXACTLY!! the way the show is edited gives some contestants more spotlight than others, and while that's understandable (at the end of the day, it is a tv show) it has caused that the fans underestimate the other members and their talents. Personally, I'm sick of reading about the vocal trinity, because as much a I love Yedam, Junkyu and Jeongwoo, TREASURE has nine(!!!) vocalists that should be equally praised and recognized.

Junkyu and Jeongwoo were also liked mostly by ygtb fans due to their monthly assessment covers, funny personalities and memes. Most of all, Yedam has deeper roots with YG ever since Kpop Star so they would likely focus the spotlight on him because of the k-public and the international fans who knew him for his "There's Nothing Holding Me Back" cover. And you can see how he easily trends on Naver and the ratings of KOMS raised when he appeared on the show, where korean fans described him as the Korean IU. Treasure has very talented vocals. Mashiho also got a decent amount of exposure to show his vocals (in Dean's song cover), and stunts (in his Fun performance with Junkyu and the final dance), thus the legendary center. As for Jihoon, he was not able to showcase his vocals in ygtb since he stuck with dancing at first just like with Doyoung. As for Jaehyuk, he was given exposure for being the trainee who was brought back by YG but instead of singing, he chose dance In the final. Lastly, Asahi was known to be very reserved on ygtb compared to now, and in terms of singing, he was criticized for his lack of facial emotions thus leading him to become eliminated in the 2;2 performance with Seokhwa.

And because of duration, of course they had priorities and preferences on who should get more highlights and spotlights. Not all 28 contestants could be fully exposed, especially if most of the viewers were not familiar with them yet. And we never knew what else happened backstage or off camera. Honestly, I wanted to see all of them debut and get the spotlight, but that's not how this show worked.

yg's way of training them is good and beneficial for them because yg artists tbh gets so much hate from kmedia and people in general, they're one of the only labels tbh who really don't give a fuck about norms and they just break them and I guess the media hates that that's why they always target yg artists. From bigbang to now treasure who are the punching bags of other rookie fans. I don't know if you notice but when there are scandals and stuff most of the time other labels release statement immediately or compensate the media but yg doesn't do that that's why yg has a lot of beef with other entertainments, one example is yg's beef with mnet. A lot of people are actually shocked when treasure attended mama because yg artists stopped attending mama last 2015. That's what I admire about yg artists I guess that they are so real and they never tried to fit in the norms of kpop, but now yg's formula is now the new norm lol that's why a lot of new fans don't acknowledge what yg artists really has done to the kpop industry.
From trainees and staffs I've always heard them saying that Yedam's voice is so good to be true and the best when u can hear it live. Now I'm kinda curious how good it could be when we hear them singing live, as in front of us.

The reason we treasure makers who watched and followed YGTB wants to protect these boys. They have been through a lot. For the monthly assessment system, YG had been doing this even before other agencies do it. Survival shows had been a YG thing. The documentary show Bigbang The beginning showed how Bigbang was formed and how they did this monthly assessment thing. WIN (Who Is Next) and Mix and Match were more brutal. This is how Winner and Ikon were formed. Mixnine was another survival who also introduced other trainees from different agencies and now debuted with their own group and label. Byungon, Hyunsuk and Junkyu were part of Mixnine. Unfortunately, the group that was about to debut didn't happen for certain reasons.
Just some info for y’all about the three notable trainees in this episode after this show. -Jang Yun Seo aka Mini Minho - rumored to be a trainee at CUBE Entertainment because he was photographed at a cafe with a popular CUBE trainee/artist Yoo Seon Ho. CUBE is home to groups like BtoB, Pentagon, CLC, and G-Idle - Wang Jyun Hao aka the cute guy who smiles a lot - set to debut in a Jpop group called BUGVEL with Treasure J member Mahiro (y’all haven’t really seen him yet) -Jung Jun Hyuk aka baby rapper - he has returned to Canada to continue his studies

It was really stressful watching it before but now I realized how it has help all of them be better idols am happy almost all of the trainees here already debuted in their respective groups 😊
Just like YG said during the beginning of bigbang "he needs to be cold to them because the public is colder than him" he just need to prepare them how the real world will treat them..
I don't know how this whole company stans started but from my experience, It was because the company was doing things differently from SM and JYP. I felt a sense of pride that there's a label that doesn't give a damn about Korean standards or hierarchy. YGe was a bit lax, caring, and helpful. They were still a small company at that time, so staff and artists are very tight. Like they are a family. And when other companies won't let their trainees learn how to make their own music, Yang let G-dragon learn from his sunbaes. And of course, we all know YG used to value potential before looks. He doesn't require his talents to do plastic surgery as some companies do. 😒 He also doesn't dictate what his artists should do. He listens to them and gives them a chance to prove they can stand on their own....etc. I think those little things made me feel proud of the company. And despite what happened to them over the years, I still am proud of them since they still have that "I don't give a fxxk" attitude.

One thing you should know in YG for predebut and artists;
1. They treat predebut the best compared out of all agency. Training in YG is free depending on your skills. Like they invest so much on their trainees for FREE. They have all classes you need to attend in order to be prepared from the outside world like Language classes, Psychology sessions to help get through that harsh training, they have debate classes, gym and they have BETTER DORMS. What you see in Treasure A dorm thats basically the dorm of every YG artists like Ikon, Winner and Blackpink
2. If they happen to debut they get 50-50 share (yg-artist) and they renew their contract they get 70-30 (artist -70). On other agency they have to pay back their training expenses and they really dont get 70/30 shares.
3. Treasure now from 1:12 dorm sharing then 2:6 sharing and now they got 3 dorms. So they are really living comfortably. Just like any other yg Artists.
4. YG dont exhaust their artists. They value QUALITY SONGS than Quantity so dont expect them to release 3 debuts a year. Its a good thing for teumes coz TREASURE literally made 3 comebacks in a year and we’re expecting a Full Album this year or early next year. But GD, & Bobby says they usually take a year to release new songs. And For Blackpink, Teddy said that their original plan is to release hit song then smash records then hit song not an album and they got a lot of songs on the studio but they are really particular with what they out out.
5. YG Artists are literally the richest IDOL. YG alone has many connections with different highest fashion brand that why most of their artists are freaking ambasaddors.
6. They are LIVE MONSTERSSSSS. Maybe thats because of their trainee days. If you want see their skills and talent, you should check their trainee days coz. ( i cant wait to see you watch WIN:WhoIsNext and MIX and MATCH)

Personally, I'm sick of reading about the vocal trinity, because as much a I love Yedam, Junkyu and Jeongwoo, TREASURE has nine(!!!) vocalists that should be equally praised and recognized.
@@lizmariasalic648 We, treasure makers, are the ones who will give them equal praises but in terms of this show, Junkyu and Hyunsuk was much more awaited because of their participation on MixNine. Junkyu and Jeongwoo were also liked mostly by ygtb fans due to their monthly assessment covers, funny personalities and memes. Most of all, Yedam has deeper roots with YG ever since Kpop Star so they would likely focus the spotlight on him because of the k-public and the international fans who knew him for his "There's Nothing Holding Me Back" cover. And you can see how he easily trends on Naver and the ratings of KOMS raised when he appeared on the show, where korean fans described him as the Korean IU. Treasure has very talented vocals. Mashiho also got a decent amount of exposure to show his vocals (in Dean's song cover), and stunts (in his Fun performance with Junkyu and the final dance), thus the legendary center. As for Jihoon, he was not able to showcase his vocals in ygtb since he stuck with dancing at first just like with Doyoung. As for Jaehyuk, he was given exposure for being the trainee who was brought back by YG but instead of singing, he chose dance In the final. Lastly, Asahi was known to be very reserved on ygtb compared to now, and in terms of singing, he was criticized for his lack of facial emotions thus leading him to become eliminated in the 2;2 performance with Seokhwa.

And because of duration, of course they had priorities and preferences on who should get more highlights and spotlights. Not all 28 contestants could be fully exposed, especially if most of the viewers were not familiar with them yet. And we never knew what else happened backstage or off camera. Honestly, I wanted to see all of them debut and get the spotlight, but that's not how this show worked.

yg's way of training them is good and beneficial for them because yg artists tbh gets so much hate from kmedia and people in general, they're one of the only labels tbh who really don't give a fuck about norms and they just break them and I guess the media hates that that's why they always target yg artists. From bigbang to now treasure who are the punching bags of other rookie fans. I don't know if you notice but when there are scandals and stuff most of the time other labels release statement immediately or compensate the media but yg doesn't do that that's why yg has a lot of beef with other entertainments, one example is yg's beef with mnet. A lot of people are actually shocked when treasure attended mama because yg artists stopped attending mama last 2015. That's what I admire about yg artists I guess that they are so real and they never tried to fit in the norms of kpop, but now yg's formula is now the new norm lol that's why a lot of new fans don't acknowledge what yg artists really has done to the kpop industry.

The reason we treasure makers who watched and followed YGTB wants to protect these boys. They have been through a lot. For the monthly assessment system, YG had been doing this even before other agencies do it. Survival shows had been a YG thing. The documentary show Bigbang The beginning showed how Bigbang was formed and how they did this monthly assessment thing. WIN (Who Is Next) and Mix and Match were more brutal. This is how Winner and Ikon were formed. Mixnine was another survival who also introduced other trainees from different agencies and now debuted with their own group and label. Byungon, Hyunsuk and Junkyu were part of Mixnine. Unfortunately, the group that was about to debut didn't happen for certain reasons.

Fyi, in ygtb, whenever they cover a song especially for the rappers. They always change the rap parts, and they wrote it by their own.
I don't know how this whole company stans started but from my experience, It was because the company was doing things differently from SM and JYP. I felt a sense of pride that there's a label that doesn't give a damn about Korean standards or hierarchy. YGe was a bit lax, caring, and helpful. They were still a small company at that time, so staff and artists are very tight. Like they are a family. And when other companies won't let their trainees learn how to make their own music, Yang let G-dragon learn from his sunbaes. And of course, we all know YG used to value potential before looks. He doesn't require his talents to do plastic surgery as some companies do. 😒 He also doesn't dictate what his artists should do. He listens to them and gives them a chance to prove they can stand on their own....etc.
I think those little things made me feel proud of the company. And despite what happened to them over the years, I still am proud of them since they still have that "I don't give a fxxk" attitude.
