And then the dreaded pests/virus common on each is always handy! And maybe, what to look for when purchasing.😊

You got me growing Orchids, Bonsai, Geraniums ,and other garden plants. Both my knees are replaced. The rest of me needs replaced also! Thank you for returning to talk of groups of orchids I enjoy that. Please put a revisit of your beloved tomunulias and add in what you would do differently in the old climate at the other house. I love this idea! I don't own a paph yet, but I'm sure I couldn't've walked away from Black Jack myself...even if I had to blow my diet and eat ramen for a week! 😂 I've come to the conclusion that one could grow and study orchidceae for a lifetime and still get surprised! Then, there're the alliances and hybrids....😄How to grow them? Which parents do they take after? So many variables that it's akin to playing chess! For me, anyhow.....I need to calculate the specific needs vs what I can provide. Learning those specific needs is where you can help me. As you know, I got a little crazy with the plant clearance rack. It wasn't intentional, but I seldom see so many named varieties of orchids marked down half price that are still in fair/good condition. I couldn't resist as I had been planning to grow my collection, just not all at once! I'm sure that some will die, they always do. 'Bag Babies' off the clearance rack are always a gamble IMO. Anyhow...I got back to your channel via Rick L....So glad he's back! Imagine my surprise to find I was already a subscriber to your channel. 😀 You can't blame it ll on the algorithm, tho it plays a part. I use youtube for research and seldom look at notifications, so I'm subject specific most of the time. BTW, I do enjoy your 'In the kitchen' videos. I think I would add more color to some of the recipes, but you do you. 😂 Best wishes and Thanks for sharing your experience. At 64 I'm a little late to be taking orchids seriously, but aim to give them a run for the money. Starting small and hoping for large returns before I check out. 🤣
Great idea! Because even though I've seen some of your videos on paphiopedilums etc. before ,e.g., it's hard to remember everything. Right now all of my orchids need attention as they've been badly neglected while I was working on my butterfly garden on the patio. But getting new smaller plastic pots for them ... about 25 y more to come cause I need a bloom or two in here.

Terrestrial Paphs, in my environment (sub-tropical, indoors), are doing quite well in bonsai mix with just a little bit of perlite.
