Jim is outstanding. One of the most phenomenal being I have come across. His sense of clarity and wisdom is a wonder. There is no landing in his message. All perceptions are shattered broken into pieces. What remains is complete silence and wonder of being. I guess nothingness. Thank you for the interview. Extremely grateful for this conversation.
Nice! Jim Newman actually explained the message in a way I haven't grasped before. He said that we humans turn reality into objects. That's duality! Prior to duality there is oneness (reality is one wholeness). As soon as we step into the view of separate objects then it already has become a false pursuit since there are no actual separate objects.
@Anders, or "apparent Anders" is 100% correct. Jim is very careful with his words to minimize confusion, but there's no reason you can't talk about the mechanism by which separation occurs. Separation is an illusion created by languages/conceptualization, which are the same process. We "thingify" what we label, drawing conceptual boundaries around it. No such boundaries exist in the natural world, which is why quantum physics is so counterintuitive.
There cannot be Nonduality without Duality, they're the opposite ends of one stick, or two sides of the same coin. Characters like Jim Newman bother me because if he was truly nondual he couldn't function at all, he would sitting there drooling like he had a full lobotomy. Jim has memory and memory is thought, thoughts are objects and fully dualistic in nature because it's what the mind knows as 'Now' and the 'Past' (dual).. Certainly being fully Non-dual, he wouldn't remember a split second ago so he couldn't speak or understand what was being said.
Me too! I first heard him after hearing eckhart tolle and I still had a very contracted sense of self. I felt so threatened by Jim and hated that he wouldn’t sugarcoat anything. But the resonance now is just like a firework everytime I listen and I feel more at home than after any eckhart tolle video. Of course I realise how dualistic this all sounds 😂
@@mattstocks4749 wow! Even though this is going into a story… It was similar for me as well. Jim says the ME is doing this or that, or trying to do this or that, but for the ME to be able to even try to do anything it would need to have some control . And other times he says the ME has no free will, no control, can’t do anything. That’s contradictory 🤷, I am surprised his followers don’t question that.

This was a fascinating interview. I had never heard of him before but I like what he’s saying. I don’t think life is a negative experience like you said, because if we have the mind of the baby, we would always be having fun and pain would just be something that happens in between that… I think if we can get back to that way of thinking, we would always have fun again and be happy most of the time… This guy seems to be peaceful, not playful, for some reason, maybe just his human conditions and personality would still holds onto something in there?
This should be realised, to the extent to which we can, in our heart of hearts, acknowledge appearance, and the necessity of falsehood, without going to rack and ruin. In this respect, Nihilism, in that it is the negation of a real world and of Being, might be a divine view of the world. Nietzsche

Somewhere im not sure about jim, the bridge is illusory yet you know that after crossing the bridge. So its real and unreal its both. This to me is proper non duality.
