There are people that you come accross in the world that seem to be able to make me feel at ease with them asthough we are real good friends, Ian is one such person another is Malcom from CountryPursuitsTV is another. A trophy mount that was deserved, well done to Ian and his team of professional guides. As Malc said, nicely filmed. Well Done Ian
@miyaaaaw We are indeed planning on creating videos from Field Target competitions. We will be filming the World Championships in Norway and hopefully the US Nationals in Oregon too. I'll keep you posted on developments! :-)
@TeamWildHunting Perfect ! Here's my question. Hello Ian I enjoy your videos and glad you decided to do some scopecam work, great job I was checking some FieldTarget photos and I was happily surprised when I saw you in one of those Do you have any unposted FieldTarget footage or are you planning to make a video during a FieldTarget competition? That would be awesome. Cheers...
Usually the animal is caped (skinned) so that it can go to a taxidermist or the head is removed if a skull mount is required. Either way the carcass as soon as the deer is shot is treated as a food product and is taken to the chiller to be processed and sold on to a game dealer or bought for consumption by the client: there are strict rules and laws on meat hygiene and prep in the Uk, the meat can only be sold on by a person who is trained and holds the correct certificates etc..
Mmmm.... I'm taking it you don't know much about chinese water deer? They're escapees from deer parks and are a non-native invasive species, originally from the far east. They have never been 'discovered' rather 'introduced' and are expanding at a phenomenal rate. They are not in danger, and while they are a 'huntable' species, they will be protected and managed by gamekeepers and professional stalkers - ensuring the success of their population in the long term.
Silas Cole An asiatic species that escaped from a private estate and have adapted extremely well in the Uk in fact the Uk population makes up for around 10% of the world population of this deer. The Muntjac deer was also an escapee from the same estate and is now very well established and also has tusks all be it much smaller! But unlike the Chinese water deer muntjac bucks also have small antlers too. The Uk has six species of deer: Red Roe Fallow Sika Chinese water deer and Muntjac. Red and Roe being the two true native animals, the rest were either introduced or escaped from private collections accidentally or otherwise is subject to speculation.... Hope that helps! Pete
Hi Ian, I was thinking of expanding my shooting hobbie away from rabbits, crows etc and into larger game animals. My FAC is currently allowing .17hmr and .22lr, obviously these are not powerful enough so my question is two fold. 1) for a good all round rifle that i could use at the entry level of deer hunting as well as the more advanced hunting after what would you recomend? and 2) are there any organisations that you would recomend in NW england for training and arranging hunts? Thanks
ive seen in alot of your videos you have always have a suppressors on your rifles, im just curious, is that for your own ear protection or is that a regulation that you have to follow?
.223 is great cheap and effective ,also if you good at head shot a .22 is more than a enough not sure if its legal in the u.k but over here in the u.s a lot a folks use them to poach deer and legaly hunt wild hogs and i've seen 200 lbs hog killed with well placed head shots but as i said .223 is great if you can get it its also fairly good for small game due to the fact its pretty muck a supercharged .22 and wont ruin the meat of small critters

Moderators are legal here in the UK and we use them so as not to create unnecessary disturbance to the surroundings
No, I just hunt them. Perhaps if you contacted the outfitter - Cervus UK - they will be able to help you?
hi, do you guys sell the tusk/canine teeth of the chinese water deer? Cheers
I believe they sell them in our online store... There's a link to Team Wild Outfitters on the channel page :-)
Hi Ian , you got my FieldTarget question? Would you care to answer?

Thanks Matt! It's all about patience! :-)
Do you ever hunt African Lion?If so,would a 300 WSM be an appropriate round for them.
hey, i was just wondering, what do you guys do after you get the score and the trophy, what do you do with the rest of the game?
ligitgramps I know most professional hunters donate their kills to charity

Great video lads. How I would love your job Ian
What caliber rifle do you use to shoot a deer......that can be picked up like a suit case.
I used a Ruger M77 Hawkeye in .243 winchester.
Wow...Thanks for the invite!!!
Can you drop us a PM with some details of location and what we would need etc?
Where could a keen follower get a team wild cap like yours from?

Me too. We hunt game animals and vermin.
HAHAHAHA, I thought it was gonna be this giant badass deer at the end and the thing looks like it's 20 lbs. Pro status.
It seems you did have to work very hard for that one Ian. Good work though and nicely filmed too.
ATB Malc
You'll have to join the queue buddy! ;-)
great video guys, don't look like the ribs are bothering you too much now ian ;)
Did you killed it?!
0:01 song pls
Ruger M77 Hawkeye in .243 Winchester
It has a very similar look to a saber tooth tiger. I didn't even know there were such deer with saber tooth teeth.
Similar look? They are as diferent as the sun and the moon mate

you are the monster
Tyler Huber you feel like a ruler ?haha You're just a piece of shit . Oops Someone had to say it
what a lovely little deer well done ian
Seems kinda pointless..killed an animal and didn't even work hard for it. Being in an open field next to a highway sounds kind of..eh.
Interesting they are called Chinese in English but why title them monster? - they make hideous sound
your minimum in africa for lion is 9.3x62 i do believe
That logo looks an awful lot like browning's.
please take me with you!:)
Snoring in the background :)
dose that thig eat meat
akerwill b
No they are herbivores
i hate people who kill rare animals!
These have only been discovered recently and people are hunting and killing them this is how they become extinct!
