First of all, always if you have an option use cable because wifi is the most unreliable internet option, but yeah 5G is more stable than 2.4 BUT only close by, so if your PS5 is far away from your Router than 5G is gonna work worse than 2.4, if far from the router if cable is not an option then buy an wifi amplifier and you can try 5G then. Not all providers give 5G as an option, it depends on what kind of internet, and provider, but also where the router is, and how many use the wifi like yeah there are so many things that affect wifi so if cable is an option it will always, always be superior. And yes I worked on internet support so this is actual facts to help, happy gaming fellow gamers
