Bug report: On PS5 and control setup type D the reload/interact button doesn't work unless you sprint. For some reason this also causes an Assault jet pack jump to occur, which unexpectedly wastes a charge.
I think you need to actually play the game with a fencing weapon on lethal and tell me that again. Panic parrying my ass a normal parry that isnt dead center of the camera, doesnt even work anymore with a 40% chance of just not doing anything. Go on and try a mission with two loadouts of the same weapon in fencing and balanced, they feel exacly the same with the exception fencing does less damage. I. They made this weapon type not worse, but worthless. But go ahead roll your way to victory like that takes any skill.
@gnusch3109 just sayin I'm using the fence even after the update, yeah you have to really time parrys almost like a Dark Soul game to get a accurate timing even in hordes. Cleared a Ruthless and lethal with the Aquila Chainsword and Vanguard class, no issues...yet. but I can see your point on how they made Balance and Block weapons more OP and just straight shat on the fencing weapons.🤣👍🏾
@@silverbullet277svision5 problem is blocking weapons arent even op and neither is balanced. They still feel more or less the same but the most action packed, parry gunstrike aggressive in your face fencing is now totally changed. It makes you more careful and hesitant to be too aggressive since a not perfectly timed parry might get you in trouble and dont even get me started on 2 majoris attacking you at once. Fencing just isn’t fun anymore and to me it was the most fun way of playing so I guess I‘ll leave which is a shame because I loved playing with randoms just for the fun of it but fun is over for me with this new change :(

Since the logic was moved to client side for dodges, but not for parries (at least I saw no mention of it) I am led to believe that the devs knew they were disabling the fencing perfect-parry spam and gave us a replacement. You no longer get to endlessly stagger an entire swarm around you while you gunstrike your way to victory. Now you will have to roll-spam away from enemies and try to gunstrike when you build distance. It is still a very easily executed technique that might save your life, but it wont be useful for carrying the entire squad by keeping everything stun-locked. I think this was a stellar design choice and am really impressed by the ingenuity!
It's novel. Still by far the weaker choice with the hammer being the exception. Now some of the balance weapons, I love the balanced power fist and power sword now
I like it with Vanguard. Block knife is great. It is harder and requires more effort, but you get rewarded for that extra effort. Works ok with assault as well. Not useful with any of the other classes though. As Vanguard I have gotten games with more melee dmg than an assault. Or only a few hundred less.
My inputs still were not working last night. I use Q to swap weapons, and it clearly still breaks. When playing Heavy, it will swap until it doesn’t, and then it starts activating the halo ability. Doing a file verification today and rebooting the computer to see if it fixes this afternoon after work.

It kinda good for melee, troublesome for sniper tyranids though. Like holy Cow, I got pelted 3 times by them even though my character was nowhere near the shot.
I have every class maxed as well as almost every gun at relic level. With that said my favorite class is heavy, vanguard and assault. Assault feels lot better now. But when it comes to heavy the plasma incinerator and melta are the best. Mentally is amazing for tyrannids and the incinerator is amazing for chaos. But both are extremely fun. There nothing like clearing an entire group of enemies with one trigger press lol
The problem is not that they are working ,on it the problem is that it got past quality control. 2nd some of the patch notes they said they fixed is not fixed so yeah they are pissing on the player base and calling it rain.
I need to compare this game this to Darktide unfortunately ( only multiplayer aspect ) . In Space Marine matchmaking is broken, waiting is to long, even after waiting you got the same class as yours and you will be kicked. Missions realistically take the same amount of time but in Darktide you feel that this time is halved because you are not bored by waiting or doing the same things in the same places ( even spawn points are in the same places in SM 2 ) . There is no crafting, builds are so limited ( 2 builds per class ) , weapon choice is non existent ( you take good weapon or you are masochistic and you take something else )
question, maybe it's just me but i'm playing assault and after the latest update every now and then i get jump pack dodges instead of jumps, sometime i get double dodge that uses both charges and i'm left with nothing, do you guys get the same issue? im on Xbox
Yes, same thing happens on PS5 as well. I've seen PC players also perform meaningless jump pack dodges sometimes so PC version also have the same issue it seems.
So nice of the new shiny Tzaangor enlightened to hover so still for your Neo-Volkite pistol lmao. Whenever I encounter them in the chaos ops they move at mac 1 and hover for less than a second before moving off at breakneck speed lol! Oh and on PC I'm finding it's fencing that's busted in melee, balanced and block work fine......... 🤔🤨
Warriors with devourers do way too much damage. Theres no counter play and they just shred you. They either need to shoot slower or do less damage because getting shredded in one blast is not fun. Also to get your contested health back is just impossible. They just fire too fast and out damage you every time especially if you’re a melee class.
When the update dropped, I had to master the art of the Roly-Poly, the block/parry input stopped working right after the chalice section of the new mission on my first run! At least you can steam roll over cultists, making dodging an offensive tactic!

It looks dumb, space marines shouldn’t roll all the time like they did even before the patch, it does feel like a shittier dark souls now and fencing has been ruined for rolling around in the mud calling that fun. I must admit, when I was fighting a Carni I was surprised at how many attacks I dodge.
The assault has extra dodge window so it's much easier to attain

Parries worked with the chainsword this morning, nothing on the power sword though, still got wrecked

Did it work? I am having the same issue. I bind parry to Q and my Halo would activate or I couldn’t parry unless sprinting.

@ damn. My fix was just to rebind everything to different keys
It always feels good when you string a couple together. Especially when it low health.
I switched the grenades/equipment to Q and the game refuses to throw them when I press the button...

I’ve always been able to fight the hive tyrant with parries pretty well (pre-patch) I love the boss battles in this game .

Yea the dodging has been quite a bit better on sniper. I get the free cloak on dodge much more often now

Ran a ruthless with bots, I've adjusted to the parry timing. It's not difficult.
I run powersword on bulwark.
I have noticed a bug with both parries and reloading. I cannot reload unless I' sprinting. And I've noticed the parry not working at all.
So did they fix the parry timing yet?

Cannot get the bolt carbine to auto fire. Shingle shot only, on both Tactical and Scout.
