If there is an association there, what is the monthly assessment?
@@HighSierraBob ..The monthly dues are about twelve hundred per month. That includes all the landscaping, Olympic sized pool, tennis and basketball courts, and a weight room.

For the people with the negative comments, you all are something else. What I love about this video and place is that it's scenery. The greenery with Mediterranean style homes along with the mountains and hills in the background. If you are from Louisiana, Texas or and other Southern states, we don't see shit like this because we have boring flat lands and everything looks dead. The grass is a dead color. By the way this in the winter before Christmas so of course it's probably cold and no one is out walking in the cold. It may look like a boring neighborhood but if you coming from a shitty place then you'll appreciate the neatness and beautiful scenery. I'd be making so many Instagram photos. I can garentee that some people that live in a big city like Chicago or NYC would rather live here. I don't care how much it cost. I'd live here. I know there are better places to live in OC and LA but this one is really nice and quiet.

This area is one of the nicest places to live in the world. The weather is near perfect most of the time. If you've got the $, this is the place to live.

@@JamesG1126i have lived there, and i moved back to Europe, now living on the Spanish coast. it was absolutely perfect, super safe, no homeless people or whatsoever, good weather all year round, the sun shining like 364 days a year. But it didnt have SOUL. I felt miserable after some time and decided to move back. I went back to visit a couple of times to see some friends and I still do once every 3-4 years, but I would never want to live there permanently anymore. When you throw a party there is always one person in the neighborhood that calls the police on you without telling, when you drive 5 miles too fast because you just bought a new car they will come up to you and complain, when your going out late at night and your car makes too much noise they complain. When your dog barks too often or too loud they complain. When you try to get to know them better they keep their distance. I have visited other states and its different, people in SoCal are really on themselfes I guess. If i was really wealthy I would have probably bought myself a house there just to visit once a year, because its still nice, but again you lose your soul if you choose to live there permanently in my opinion. At least I did.

I drove around here visiting my grandpa and uncle a few years back. It is really a beautiful area. Its very close to Laguna Beach and Dana Point. I love all the little beach side towns nearby..

The negative comments are hilarious because those are the same people who would live there in a heart beat. You all know that neighborhood is magnificent. Im not a fan of HOA's but did you notice how clean, and quiet the streets were? Tucked away nicely in an area where not just anyone can walk or drive through. Plus gorgeous weather!

Newport Beach area is very unique. In the summer, the temperature is very cool so you don’t need to use air conditioning that much!

We all have the power to create our own Gated communities but we choose to liter and not hold our children accountable for bad behavior so now if you want this peaceful life, you must pay for it.

This is a beautiful neighborhood. It’s a quintessential California neighborhood. It looks just like the neighborhood I grew up in in the Bay Area.

I'm a Senior Engineer and can easily afford a $5 million home. The biggest issue is the taxes and maintenance, which would be atleast $100k/ year.
If you can afford a $5m home you can afford the taxes.

does somebody knows what trees are those with white bark? they look amazing! well everything looks amazing but those trees are sculptural real art works. looking forward for the invention of white asphalt :))) I think it would have looked great in this place.
I believe those are birch trees
birch trees have some brown spots on their bark. these ones don't have those rough spots their bark is completely white and smooth and the crown is very different form the birch tree so I don't think they are birch trees 🧐@@adventuresociety588

This is Newport Coast, which is a very expensive neighborhood in Orange County, so all the homes are in the millions.
Average housing price in Newport Beach is around 2 million, in Newport coast its even higher.
Guys, where I lived is very expensive too, an apartment studio for 1.5M and is in PA. No wonder why we have a housing crisis!!!

HOA should be deducted from your property annual taxes. What HOA does for the community is what the government should be doing with the taxes we pay, HOAs are a way of the government getting "free" money.
For an upscale neighbourhood, it has quite a dystopian feel to it, in a creepy sort of Pleasantville way. The speedy tour almost made me feel a bit car-sick, still, I suppose a gated neighbourhood like this would have private policing, and if you had driven too slowly you might have been seen as loitering with intent, although I imagine that access is tightly controlled.
The neighborhood is very clean and astute, yet it still has a private appeal to it, even once you've entered the gate. Most of the homes are still not very visible due to the lush vegetation. I'm sure the hoa's are a real biter montly or annually. I wonder is the neighborhood well lit at night due to all the vegetation.

It`s hard to tell at warp speed. My best guess is a Coral tree. They have the large smooth light colored branches. Very popular, fast growing, landscape tree ln SoCal. The wood is soft not strong like an Oak tree. Notice how they tip and top prune the trees to look like lolly pops. Sorry, if this was too much info.

HOA In new Port Beach is between $500 to $2000 dollars a month, depends on the location.
The view is amazing, it is so quiet that there is not even a wind moving the tree tops, many people mistakenly think this area was created by computer.😲❤️

Newport coast area, that area is full of gated communities like the one in the video, almost every community in that area is gated actually.

Not very expensive. The houses are not that big and are pretty bland, and there's very little lawn space. What they pay for is the view. Around $5-$15 million.
The cheapest home on the market in that neighborhood is $7.8 million. The most expensive is $80 million, but it's a pre-construction buy.
