Sure. It is way cheaper than splicing. Also, you do not need to carry a fusion splicer, do not need "labor", just 2 hands, and a small thinking head. If you need to install a termination in an end user's home, it is faster and more fool-proof solution than splicing. A fistful of quick connector costs about 50-70USD (100 pcs), and they reusable connectors, so you can tinkering :)
Hi there! I'm also a Telecom Technician from Hungary. And you? I work with optical fibers. My apc connectors not always but very often break the fiber after a few hours. So this is how I got here :D maybe that's me who's doing something in the wrong way. But I don't think so. My fibrlocks and the splices I do with fusion splicer never go wrong.. I have no idea what's going on :D
sometimes my sc connector doesn't work properly. And my wifi operator told me to spray on the front side of sc connector from any cleaner and reconnect it. This trick works but I didn't find anything on internet is it safe???
If you need cleaning an optical termination like this, and you wish a reliable solution, look for Reichle And DeMassari. It is not cheap, but works good, and very simple to use.
True, but maybe you should learn to read an instrument: It shows -14.6d0Bm = 34.69µW first and with the cable -15.39 dBm = 28.91µW - that's 0.79dB loss..
That is a nice solution you got there. More enegat than splicing pigtails.
Yeah
You're talking about the OTO? :D
Is the used SC/APC can be reused several times? I understand that there's an optical gel inside it, will it affect its performance over time?
Yes it can be reused
Creative video, thanks :)
where was the 8 degree surface made? the cleaver can only cut a straight surface
good job
Is there a better reason using this termination rather than fusion splicing with the pigtail?

how to uninstall the protective cap?
I'm also work from telecom Very simple for that fiber optical connector

Ya bro it's safe but after spraying you should blow some air to it so that dust can move from the edge

Love the song :-)
Will this work for multimode cable?
Yes
you need a MM connector.
-15dbm faible valeur
What is the song name?
7db is too much loss!

That's the most troublesome mechanical connector I've ever seen.
Haven't used it, there is no need to say my product
what would you recommend

It is very good connector 🙄
Esa mierda es mal echo marca -15.00 db eso tiene que quedar menos de -10.00 db
