I think the Krauts haven't got much silver. Most Krauts don't even understand silver. A late aunt of my late wife once asked me: "What's that supposed to be good for?"
The EV industry is dying fast (thankfully) and solar doesn't work for large urban centers...Silver demand won't increase from these industries.
EVs could have their niche in Canadian cities for in-city delivery trucks and buses to help reduce smog. Or hydrogen, perhaps better than an EV in many respects.
Definitely not dying, it went from .01 to .10 to several percent of car market. It may pull back however going to keep growing.

I concur regarding EVs, however Solar panels is making me monthly tax free income here in Australia.
I have 30kW of panels and two 15kW grid connected 3 phase inverters.
ROI at least 20%,
again, tax free.
The less I use, the more I make.
What’s more, every 1st July the power prices go up, which means my savings are increasing yearly.
Sure it cost $33,000 AUD, but it’s the best investment I have ever made.
Some 15 plus years ago I “experimented” with a tiny 2kW system taking inverter, meter readings and found that per kW installed per day, averaged over the year was 4.0 kW.
The data I had over years showed regardless of which year, when I started the 365 day count it still averaged 4.0 kW per kW installed per day for every day of the year.
Can’t wait for the increased electricity prices due 1-7-24.
Add a Tesla and never pay for fuel again. I have a 2013 model s and have saved at least $25-30k in fuel costs in past 10 years. My car was hit in back bumper and it killed me to put gas in a rental car, cost me $300 over the month. I would never buy a gas car as primary vehicle, we have one but use electric for 99% of our driving. Solar paid for itself within 5 years.

I Don’t see current geopolitics sentiment driving metals as any single event but see it again a sentiment of a increasing trend line of global disunity and conflict and its potential ramifications on global economic efficiency and even viability. I heard someone say a current parallel with say 25 % of all gold production that is central bank buying is that we’re now rivaling that buying event by central banks during the collapse of bretton woods and the gold standard in US in the early 70s

The Silver Institute had to change the numbers for 2022, 2021 to 2017. How can you rewrite history from years ago. The reason is, they need to use low numbers making you think it's high growth.

It's like a little gamble - I don't do lottery, go to casinos or bet on sports. I really don't gamble at all. I only gambled with my life not my money serving in First Fulf, Operation Joint Guardian Kosovo/Macedonia, GWOT, OEF Guantanamo Bay and 7 years in Iraq on OIF. LOL I guess you could say I protected the currency I made more then my health or life which if you think about is stupid, weird and doesn't make any sense.

Then go for it. Platinum is used in hydrogen fuel cells, the next big thing when they have to admit ev's are a busted flush. Your idea of buying coins instead of bars is smart - I have a mixture and the coins carry a premium. Just be prepared to wait a while.
As of today, the natural gold to silver availability ratio is 1 : 7.
