Seems like this and path to your grave touch on the subject of some kind abuse endured by someone close to them. This song particularly seems to be about the guilt she feels as an older sibling not being able to protect their younger sibling. Definitely heart wrenching but damn is her voice beautiful.
Sick song dying wish i really enjoyed it emma boster's vocals were absolutely beautiful with a bit of screams thrown in for good measure the instrumentation was outstanding aswell & the album symptoms of survival is fantastic keep the tunes coming dying wish well done.🙂❤🎤🥁🎸
This album is crazy. The variety of songs is incredible and what Emma is doing with her voice in this one just blows my mind. Guitar intro as well. Just awesome.
I hope this may one day reach Emma and the rest of the band: this truly is the best song on the album, but not only that, this band is truly life changing! I work in the mental health field as a therapist, my specialty lies in substance use. Emma’s lyrics have been captivating and gut punching from the very first album with how vulnerable and powerful her shared experiences growing up in a home plagued by alcoholism and addiction. This video, though… I cannot watch it without crying every time. I get chills every single time! It is beautiful and captivating. While I know from my research the actual meaning of this video (Emma’s love letter to her step sister) I want to say this also can portray some inner child work as well, i.e. the little girl can symbolize Emma’s youth and adult emma can be singing to her. This is perfectly captured on the moment where Emma emerges from the dress as an adult and stands in front of the young girl. That part absolutely wrecks me every time! I just had the desperate urge to share. I’ve shared this with many colleagues and patients of mine. I also have the album hanging in my office. Much love and much thanks♥️
This will surely gonna make everyone cry in the pit. No joke. Cause my god, this song is making me cry for some reason at how great this heavy ballad is. 😢
the vid is a tear jerker too. Beautiful lighting and the solemnity. For some reason when the drummer was in the frame and looking down it just bit me. And the. Moment that the little girl is standing in front of emma and Emma looks up. Her beautifully green eyes. Omg. I friggin cried
Emma, Pedro, Sam, Jeff and Jon ….Thank you for this song. (And Andrew if you were involved) so much to say about all the layers in this, but I won’t. Just thank you for sharing your talents with the world. (And welcome Jon.🤘😊❤️) +Randy on this song too
First listen of this band, recommended from my Spiritbox playlist. I thoroughly enjoyed this and look forward to diving more into their discography. It's making me feel really nostalgic for some reason.
Perfectly written, as well as the entire rest of the album. I haven't had a record hit me this hard (in both ways lol) in a long time, and seeing the massive success that it's gaining is one of the most satisfying things to see. Thank you so much for this amazing music and everything you guys stand for
I see both bands doing wonders for the metalcore scene. Spiritbox innovating the current trendy djent/prog metalcore sound whereas Dying Wish reigniting the sound of older melodic death metalcore early/pre MySpace era bands with a modern hardcore punk twist.
Why is it the worst track of the album in your opinion? Curious to hear your thoughts. Because this is pretty much how you write a perfect heavy, slower, emotional ballad.
thats my daughter in the video!!! Woooooo
Wait, really?
Wot? Is she the singer?
😎👍
Yooo What? Do you mean Emma Boster?
This album is great. For me this is the best song on the album
Preach
Amen brother
Agreed
Do they have any other songs similar to this one? Every other just seems pure screaming
@@kirdot2011nope. this is good but i like the heavier stuff anyways
Amazing, heart wrenching song. I absolutely love Emma's vocals in this.
I do too. Sound so pretty then very strong then powerful. Love her voice.

Song of the year, beautiful and despondent. Cannot wait for them to grow.
My AOTY. Love the rawness of the instrumentals and lyrics are just relentless.
Take Me Back To Eden takes the cake for AOTY for me, but these guys aren’t bad.

This song was a pleasant surprise on what I already knew was gonna be a killer album. Dying Wish never disappoints.

I’m seeing them Friday in Philly. 🤘🤘🤘
@@Janesmithy I gotta admit. It suddenly reminded me of this Indian Netflix movie called "Pihu"(google it).

My son is on the drums! This is a gut-wrenching ballad. Best song on their best album in my opinion. Emma's vocals are beautiful

I agree.
No It's still not their level yet sorry to say.
There's space for both, my friend 🤘🤘
I see both bands doing wonders for the metalcore scene.
Spiritbox innovating the current trendy djent/prog metalcore sound whereas Dying Wish reigniting the sound of older melodic death metalcore early/pre MySpace era bands with a modern hardcore punk twist.

Big Lacuna Coil vibes
This band needs to stop being slept on, they are incredible!!!
Emma booster
This album is amazing and brings me back to 05, but this is the only song i skip because it isnt heavy and doesnt have an amazing breakdown.
Lol 100 comments, talk about viewbotting.
Worst track from the album, but the album itself is very good 8/10
Wtf
Why is it the worst track of the album in your opinion? Curious to hear your thoughts. Because this is pretty much how you write a perfect heavy, slower, emotional ballad.
Doesn't need to be screamin' to be heavy. Those lyrics, hit hard.
“This band started as a hardcore band and we’ll die as a hardcore band.” 👀
