Hi. I have the black Bessel version and the crown tube matches, the case on the ETA and in house is the same thickness it's the case back on the in house that protrudes out which makes it wear higher on the wrist, both are excellent pieces and it's nice to see the 41 on review again as for the moment it seems to be all about the 58, congrats on getting this beauty.
Thank you Andrew Hatton 🙏. I meant different color bezels. I realize the black bezel matches 😂.But apparently it’s only the Harrods edition that doesn’t match up. My mistake. Thanks for the comment 👊🍻
I bought a new GMT from a Tudor AD on December 26, 2019, The date wheel malfunctioned a month later. I sent it to Rolex-Dallas. They told me it would require a new movement. I asked why. Customer service told me that repairing the faulty movements turned out not to work. The watch requires a completely new movement. (The new movement, I was told, is new, not rebuilt.) Rolex-Dallas said it could take up to six months to get a movement from Switzerland. It actually took a month. The watch now works perfectly, as best I can tell. What I don't know is whether the new 2020 movement with the 5-year warranty applies to my three year 2019 purchase. I suppose it probably does.
Two months after I purchased by BB it stopped; "bearings too tight" I actually called the the Rolex Service Centre in Toronto, Canada, to follow-up on my watch. I asked if they replace movements with rebuilt ones for watches that malfunction within a year or two of purchase. I got a convincing no from Rolex. If you don't get the full 5 years, you do get a an additional 18 months on top of your two years, since you purchased in after 01 Jul 2018 www.tudorwatch.com/en/inside-tudor/watchmaking/tudor-guarantee.
"10% tax is very high." I invite you to Europe. We have 19-23% VAT. I love the burgundy bezel. The thickness of in house Black Bay scares me. I wish they made a 41mm, 12mm thick one...
Great video nice watch however would of picked the inhouse version as its moved tudor up the scale on luxury. I bought the Gmt 2weeks ago its been going fine no issues..I made the deal as I got 10% off and i love the watch..hoping the fate issue is fixed in the 2020 batch
Hey buddy i am very interested in the same exact model, I was curious on where you purchased yours, and if you still love it as much a year later? It is going to be my first nice watch purchase for something over $2k and this exact double rose with the slim case and smiley face is the once I really want, and was wondering if you would maybe have any words of advice for me while looking? Thanks man I appreciate it have a blessed day!
Technically the in house movements are most definitely a superior watch. But aesthetically the older ETAs are more appealing to the masses. Plus, the ETAs are no longer in production. They are getting harder and harder to find in excellent condition. That’s why they keep going up. 🍻
The ETA watches are definitely going up in value, with the black colour the most expensive of all. The combination of a nicer dial, the much cheaper servicing costs and the much more proportional thickness make it a much more desirable watch in my opinion. The in-house version is just disgustingly thick.
I had the Tudor GMT and then after 2 months had the date issue. It went back to Tudor and they fixed it but after the whole experience it just made me not want to keep the watch. I unfortunately sold it and although I have the new Jubilee Pepsi GMT from Rolex in my collection I still find myself wanting another Tudor GMT but I always stop myself because of the date issue which they still haven't fixed from the factory.
Why oh why did Tudor have to ruin what is, in my opinion, the perfect watch? I was so close to buying a GMT myself and then I read about the date issues and gave up. I'm even hearing stories about late 2019 production models having it. Hard pass from me.
Just got my Tudor GMT back from RSC in Dallas Texas for date issues . They had it four months and the watch definitely came back with scratches . Very disappointed
Watches and Giggles okay 👌 I was just wondering because someone told me the as well I should remove it. Hope all is good in Chicago 👍 I’m an expat living in Switzerland 🇨🇭
Great unboxing mate. Love that piece and the vintage aesthetic. I’m picking up my Tudor black bay 58 blue soon.
You are clearly guilty of having drawn my attention to this watch. I just purchased it and it is amazing 🤩🤩🤩
😂 well I’m glad you love it! It is a stunning watch. Where it in good health! 🍻
I love your tudor Pepsi gmt man 😎👍
Great unboxing video Chris and thanks for saving us from the paperwork 😂. It’s a stunning piece and a great price. Job done 👍👊
Thank you Mark P 🙏, 😂 does anyone ever really want to see ALL the paper work? 🤣
Congrats 🎉🍾 on your new Tudor!!
Thank you 🙏. I’m So happy 😀
Great watch - love the ETA smiley face

Watches and Giggles Thanks for the reply, keep up the good work and enjoy your pieces.
Hi Chris, great vid. Thanks for that. I bought the 79220 in 2012. And I love it since them. I would ever prefer the smiley face, Eta-versions.
Aesthetically they are far superior to me then the new in house movements. Wear it in good health 😁
Congratulations 🍾 Chris! Enjoy
Nice watch- I have the blue ETA got last week. BTW the blue crown tube matches the blue bezel. Nice vid!
Thank you 🙏 and Congrats! My mistake, I guess it’s just the Harrods green bezel that doesn’t match.
Great watch!
The 79220b - blue does have the blue on the crown tube , not black
Nice, i just picked up one brand new on a leather strap
Awesome BBr. Love it. Awesome review and perspective. How many links are there for this BB? Thanks in advance.
I bought one because of the red bezel and the thickness. I wanted a bit of colour without the dreaded date issues of the GMT.

The Tudor box looks like a better quality than the Rolex box? Beautiful watch, enjoy it in good health.
I believe the Tudor box is better Quality from my experience in handling both.
Lovely piece and spot on regards the size👍
Thank you 🙏
Where to get the bracelet though? Difficult to find...
Looking for this same watch! They are becoming increasingly difficult to find... Let me know if you're interested in parting with it 🙃

I actually just put a deposit down recently for the Tudor gmt. I love this watch so much. I wanted the gmt to go with my Tudor diver. 🍻
Great glad your happy with them both😉
Any idea when they switched from the ETA to the in-house movement?

Is it only the ETA movements going up in price? It seems like the in-house would be a better option, however I only see the ETA Black Bays going up?

That is the problem, it’s a great watch except for the date wheel issue 😩. I still go back and forth on the gmt. 🍻
These are now worth over 3k. It's keeping its value.

It’s a shame. Love the look of the Tudor gmt. Hoping they work out the issues. 🍻
By the way there is a 2 watch roll from Everest FYI
B. Peppercorn Hi. Yes, they do them in singles up to I think 4 compartments. I can fully recommend them
Just got my Tudor GMT back from RSC in Dallas Texas for date issues . They had it four months and the watch definitely came back with scratches . Very disappointed
😫 that’s not good! What is going on with Tudor?!
I would rather have a bracelet without the rivets. I have the chrono S&G
S&G is a beautiful watch! Just don’t look at the sides of the bracelet 😂
Watches and Giggles 😂😂 A quick question, did you remove the diver extension on the SD 43? I had mine removed on the day of purchase.
I did. Makes for a more comfortable wear 😁

Unfortunately this beer virus is getting worse over here. I’m hoping for the best! Stay safe, and healthy 🍻
