    Beautiful Corvette. These are the only generation Corvette I like actually and was one of my dream cars when I was young. These tires and the RWL lettering go perfectly with it.

    I really like the Cooper cobra's, I had a set on my 73 Plymouth Cuda, 255 60's and they were great, I liked them so much I put a set on my 68 charger, 295 rear and 225 front. Wish I still had those cars! 😊I'm hoping to get a set of the Firestone wide 0 ovals for my 69 corvette, but the price my change my mind! Your car looks great with the Coopers!👍

      I’m finishing a couple covering detailing, one or two covering maintenance stuff, and another video about the All-Corvette Show this month here in Ocala. Plus a few #shorts vids.
      Also, I’m sure I’ll be able to film more C3s at the Daytona Speedway this week during the 2022 Turkey Run. So stay tuned, and thank you for watching! 😊👍🏻

    The Coopers look great. I have the BF Goodrich 245's all the way around on my 71 Vette. I'd like to go with 255's but rubbing may be an issue upfront. I'll probably just put them in the back. I like a bit more meat than the 225. Thanks for the video.

      I’ve been using (and learning) Filmora 11 which for someone like me is powerful enough yet affordable, so I highly recommend it. Wondershare is the developer and you can download a free trial version, and if you like it, you just enter the license number they send you after purchase and continue using it.
      I started with Filmora 10 and they keep upgrading it at no extra charge.
      Thanks again. 😊👍🏻

    My 1972 came with 235/60R15 Goodyear Eagle GTII's, but I switched to the 225/70R15 BF Radial TA's after a couple of years. Fills the guards better. Just bought another set of TA's after months of searching as my front right was wearing badly on the inside, bad alignment. Got a good deal on 4 tyres, but after fitting have found out that they are from the bad batch that had the "browning" of the white lettering. Would take them back, but there's no more to found in Australia at the moment, supplier quoted me 3-4mths if then even ...... not happy.

    • @76vette
      @76vette  Рік тому +1

      Have you tried sanding the white letters?
      Sometimes, removing that brown layer brings out the white. The RWLs (and sidewalls) are actually made out of a thick white rubber layer, with a thin black one over it and exposed raised white letters. That’s why you see tires that have been curbed with white scratches.
      I’d give it a try. I use a medium grit sanding sponge when I detail my Vette. It works great. Good luck! 😊👍🏻

    I bet the ride is vastly improved. Might be a bit quieter as well. Now...
    How is the handling with the Coopers? The BFG's are okay, and I have them on the 65 GTO. 225/70/14.
    The installer. Is it a local shop who let's you bring tires to mount on your rims? The techs appeared to be careful with those wheels. That is good.
    I am really considering a set of these. Best of luck with them.

    • @76vette
      @76vette  Рік тому +1

      So far I love them. And yes, the car rides a lot better with them. The BFGs were really dangerous at highway speeds with a lot of bounce, believe it or not.
      A lot of tire shops will not install tires you didn’t buy through them. They claim liability and other stuff of that nature. A shop that knows classic cars will accommodate special requests, and the local shop I found treated my wheels and tires like they were made out of glass. Lol 😆. Cannot ask for better than that. Great people. 😊👍🏻

    The car, wheels and tires look great. The tires were balanced but I did not see any weights added. What type of weight was used and what side on the rim where they placed. Thanks for the content.

    Did you lower your car at all?
    My new to me ‘76 has 225-70-15 all round, but I seem to have a bit more open space at the top of the wheel arch. My car is basically an Arizona original everything and needs all the wear bits done.

    • @76vette
      @76vette  Рік тому +1

      Yes, I had one coil removed from each front coil spring and bought longer bolts to lower the rear end. 😊👍🏻

    Did the 225/70 make the car sit a little higher in the rear. Thanks

    • @76vette
      @76vette  Рік тому +1

      Overall, the height is approx an inch higher, so using the center of the axles and spindles as a reference, the height increase will always be proportional to the front wheels since they’re the exact same size.
      They do fill the wheel well a lot better which looks better, IMO.

    Beautiful car! any thoughts on 255/60 vs the 225/70s? I have the 235/60 as well and leaning towards 225/70 but was wondering if they would look too thin

    • @76vette
      @76vette  3 місяці тому +1

      It’s matter of personal opinion and taste. My 76 is lowered a bit and the 225/70s look a bit on the tall side because of it. The ride is a lot smoother with the 225s though. My 81 had 255/60s and the ride was noisy and rough IMO.
