considering the shooting just happen in Iwoa the opening is really bad taste. man why a lot of vocal synth songs are cringe in terms of edginess. A lot of people really like songs of this... I don't think the beginning was supposed to be in bad taste, considering that the shooting probably didn't happen while the song was made... Still, I get your point. It's questionable how many people want songs like this, especially in the Western Fandom where songs like this get a looot of attention. Also, something I just noticed while looking at the video again, the part with the newspaper... one of the texts on the newspaper say something with "mad mad hot serial killer", which can be pretty insensitive to... you know, actual victims (and the families of said victims) of serial killers... unfortunately a lot of people lust after those people for some reason.

I can definitely see where you're coming from with this comment. If I had known that a shooting would take place literally a day after the song dropped, I don't think I would have posted it when I did. I want to defend my decision to make edgy music, but you're completely right about the opening to the song being in really bad taste in light of the recent tragedy. This probably won't make you feel better, but this EP is actually all about a fictional singer (Abbi) who makes songs all about being "edgy" and a "crazy killer" and then she gets cancelled and rethinks a lot of her actions. This song was meant to be the first 'act' of the story (if you'll allow me to be a little pretentious). But on it's own with the combination of the tragedy, it doesn't look great. I'm sorry to hear you feel like a misfit. I know that edgy content isn't for everyone, and I think people can definitely take it too far sometimes. I personally love it, but I do think there is a healthy conversation to be had about the over-abundance of "edginess" in vocaloid songs.

considering the shooting just happen in Iwoa the opening is really bad taste. man why a lot of vocal synth songs are cringe in terms of edginess. Why can't there be song overcoming mental issues instead of giving into them. giving into them make them much worst. I honest feel like total misfit in this fandom.
A lot of people really like songs of this... I don't think the beginning was supposed to be in bad taste, considering that the shooting probably didn't happen while the song was made... Still, I get your point. It's questionable how many people want songs like this, especially in the Western Fandom where songs like this get a looot of attention. There is a reason why "Better off Worse" exists. :') I still enjoy the song personally but I totally get your point.
Also, something I just noticed while looking at the video again, the part with the newspaper... one of the texts on the newspaper say something with "mad mad hot serial killer", which can be pretty insensitive to... you know, actual victims (and the families of said victims) of serial killers... unfortunately a lot of people lust after those people for some reason.
I'm pretty sure the song was written before the shooting in "Iwoa" and also the reason there's so many edgy songs is because people like them. If you don't it's fine just don't hate on people who do.
I can definitely see where you're coming from with this comment. If I had known that a shooting would take place literally a day after the song dropped, I don't think I would have posted it when I did. I want to defend my decision to make edgy music, but you're completely right about the opening to the song being in really bad taste in light of the recent tragedy. This probably won't make you feel better, but this EP is actually all about a fictional singer (Abbi) who makes songs all about being "edgy" and a "crazy killer" and then she gets cancelled and rethinks a lot of her actions. This song was meant to be the first 'act' of the story (if you'll allow me to be a little pretentious). But on it's own with the combination of the tragedy, it doesn't look great. I'm sorry to hear you feel like a misfit. I know that edgy content isn't for everyone, and I think people can definitely take it too far sometimes. I personally love it, but I do think there is a healthy conversation to be had about the over-abundance of "edginess" in vocaloid songs.
