Just realized that the Craftsman (at the time) Truck Series in NASCAR 05: CFTC had one base, standard manufacturer model for the Trucks. Here in NH2, you have Chevy, Ford, and Toyota. Glad these guys were able to add that in.
i hope in the future you can change the other drivers will change numbers teams and sponsors and also retire and the paint schemes change from year to year for everyone and also i hope they do dnfs and the crash clock and way shorter pit stops and and teammates race each other better and they add tape to damage repairs i also hope the spotter tells you when your rival is ahead of or behind you and the other drivers have rivalries and you have agents and owners and you can talk to other drivers
Something I'd wish they could do in the near future is if you want to join a team but don't want an existing number, have all the team's number fonts so you can use their number style but a new number.
i want to add a new team entirely like if i get signed to nemco i dont have to replace my favorite driver i just get to add the 87 or something to the team
Fonts are copyrighted so that would be tough to do. although it would be sweet I'm honestly curious how 704 made it possible to take over existing cars, copyright reasons were why EA had to stop retirement sims in their career modes
Ohhh, now I suddenly feel a little more interested in this game. Rivalry system is interesting, just hope the physics aren't bad enough that I unintentionally piss off the whole field. Customization, while not exactly GT Sport levels of amazing, is better then nothing. Running in multiple series? Finally, I get to live the dream of pissing off people by being a Cup driver and taking trophies from the lower series regulars.
That's why the sponsor needs to go away after the driver leaves. Have a fictional sponsor take over the 48, or a driver bring their sponsor to the car with them.
MariosMinions they could have the actual sponsor contract and driver contract length in the game. So say Lowes is with Jimmie Johnson until 2020. The game will then decide whether Jimmie retires after 2020. If Jimmie resigns or moved to a different team then he retains the Lowes sponsor. If Jimmie retires then Hendrick has to sign a free agent or call up a lower series driver and their current sponsor moves with them. Maybe each driver will have their own built in alliances with teams saying how likely they are to stay or move to other teams. For example William Byron would be 85% likely to sign with Hendrick (Currently with Dale Jr's Xfinity Team), 10% with Joe Gibbs (Drove for Kyle Busch), 4% with Furniture Row (Gibbs ally), and 1% Random.
Go to 10:27 of the video everyone even RealRadman. Where u choose the contracts and see these selection of cars in pretty sure where it says custom Halmar Friesen u can customize that car in that team but where it says #52 Halmar Friesen that is the car u use and u can't customize it. I am pretty sure I am right about it
Plus, right after that at 10:33 for a second it shows the ThorSport trucks, and underneath it says X Use Custom Car. This might mean you might be able to use a custom paint AND replace a driver. If that is the case, I'm finding a way to kick Busch out of the 18.
I think their advancement in Career mode is such a huge plus to this game and for sure will keep the player involved with the career to push and do well at every race. I do have to point out at 6:33 that the 51 truck and how it spun out at Dover was a bit odd but I'm sure they are still working with physics. Other than that it looks good and actually seems to worth my 50 dollars. As an edit, I do want to point out that the "paint booth" Is a good advancement. It's very similar to Dirt 4 where you choose a design and change the colors and add sponsors. Still better than no paint booth.
Are we going to have affiliated teams? Like say you drive for the Roush Xfinity team will the Roush Cup team realize that and give you a contract. Same for Joe Gibbs Jr Motorsports/Hendrick and others.
Career stats, free agency, and sponser/team management/contracts will need to get done in future games. Hopefully they had stats in the day after patch.
I'm really enjoying how this game is turning out. I understand the line would run out however once you get to the trucks. You can't keep bringing guys up
having watched the video I think I have a good idea of how the "custom cars" system works, basically, you can pick to drive any of the already established cars ie. the 51 truck for KBM which already has established sponsors and number, or you can pick to drive a custom car, this will have same equipment as the other trucks from that company but you will be able to customise it's paint scheme and number
yeah exactly, If you look at the ride selection screen you can see rides with numbers and some that are for example labelled "Premium Custom" which was in the trailer
I noticed at 10:28 you see things like Custom - Hattori Racing, Custom - Halmar Friesen, Custom - Clay Greenfield, this leads me to believe you can either choose to take over an existing car, or replace it entirely with your own creation, which I think is totally bad ass. Also, I noticed only single car teams have a custom car, which I also see differing manufacturers for those customs. That means that you probably can't make a custom ThorSport car (one wasn't shown vs. Hattori/Halmar), but when you do join a single car team, you don't add a car to it, you replace that car entirely, and it appears you get to dictate even what manufacturer they switch to.
The MOST IMPORTANT item I asked for in this game was stat tracking & now I know i'll have to wait at least another year before that happens... Looks like I'm breaking out the spreadsheets once again...

They only had 9 months to put together a game, and they had to build it from scratch. People who complain about either game should keep this in mind.
Damage again is non existent. Not sure why one of the most important aspects of stock car racing is left out year after year. Overall, game looks like an improvement over last year for sure tho. Maybe someday they will trust us to pit our own cars and drive under caution, 2021 perhaps.

I honestly prefer simple templates over a full blown paint booth. The option for both in the future would be nice.
