@@GamerANHhow do you play without the HUD because I use lock on when shooting since I don’t have a recticle is that what you do or you don’t play with lock on either because I’m confused of how you are hitting your shots!!
@@_Alone_________ whilst I am not anh, I would recommend starting without lock on and working your way up through difficulties so you get used to the shooting, and practise a lot cuase the reticle will always be in the centre so if you out in enough practice you will know where the reticle is without seeing it
You know what I just realized? 21:07 I don’t think Abby originally meant to torture Joel. I think she had literally had planned a speech to say and was just going to shoot him. But then Joel says “say whatever speech you got rehearsed and get this over with” and I think that just pissed her off even more that he knew what she was going to do, maybe even embarrassed her a little, and so she decided to torture him out of anger. The way she backs up slowly, hands Owen the shot gun, and tells Mel to tourniquet his leg. Both Mel and Owen looked surprised she said that, as if that was never part of the plan. Even Jordan in the background looks back at Leah, confused. Then she looks around the room for something, ANYTHING, and decides on the golf club, and says to Joel “you don’t get to rush this”. Maybe it was obvious or maybe I’m just overthinking it, but I thought that was interesting to share!
I think this is a pretty valid take! After re-watching the scene again I'd have to agree it does look like that. I believe Abby just wanted to find and kill him but Joel pretty much threw it back in her face, accepted what was going to happen and did embarass her to the point of pushing Abby into more anger and proceeding to torture him.
He bruised her ego and invalidated her revenge fantasy.
No it makes sense, your gonna kill this asshole for hurting your family and keep it decent but then he admits to your face that he has no heart or care for anything in the world and you knew right then and their he deserved far worst

Well he did save her life right before all of that, so that should be taken into consideration about how she felt as well 🤨
When Abby says to her father: "If it was me, I'd want you to do the surgery" I definitely saw some similarities between her and Ellie. It's good writing, not too subtle but not too explicit either.

Also it shows the perspective that Ellie and Joel never had this deserved conversation, where Joel could hear what Ellie feels about giving her life for the vaccine which they didnt even know if it was even going to work.
Had they been given a chance to talk it out, their relationship would be so much stronger and Joel May or may not have let her do it. But ironically Jerry took that choice from Ellie and Joel, and that was the consequence for it. Everyone in this game is flawed. But we know Joel’s background, so that’s why we grew to love his character more than Abby.
@@natashac585 Very deep observations here, this actually helps putting everything in perspective. And yeah, many people "sided" with Joel because of the attachment they felt for him since the previous game, but everyone has their reasons and acts questionably pursuing what they feel is right.
You know, I personally hate people who likes this "If it was me" crap. Who is Abby to decide for other girl if she should sacrifice her life or not? You're not immune, you don't know anything what it feels like, what Ellie and Joel have been through so shut the hole in your face.
They all, Jerry, Abby, Marlene and Joel, didn't ask Ellie what she wants but Joel chose the best of bad options - not letting her die. If they all waited Ellie awakening after drowning, there would've been a beautiful goodbye between her and Joel and he would've accepted her choice, but no, Fireflies decided that Ellie didn't deserve that choice
@@RockyMSK Yeah, they didn't leave her a choice because they thought they were doing something good for mankind, not only for one person.
But you can also say they all had personal, selfish reasons for doing so, that's why I understand both Ellie's hatred and conflicting emotions and Abby's resentment.
That's what makes a good story imho: in a world ruled by wants and needs, some people act in a hypocritical way to justify their actions, some are downright selfish, and not everyone gets to choose.
And yet, in the end, everybody's just human.
But it's true Abby didn't get a backstory as complex and meaningful as Ellie's.
@@natashac585 That's the problem with creating a sequel to a game such as this. Every single person, or most of were already attached and grew to previous characters that it's almost impossible to break that love from a character no matter what new character you throw in. I love TLOU2 just as much and it's one of my favorite games ever but the idea of trying to make someone new sympathetic and similar over a character we already grew to play and love over years is a really hard thing to do.
Your courage when bum-rushing a Shambler and then punching it to death ruthlessly is… simply amazing.
Joel is obviously a beloved character, by literally millions of fans of TLOU1. But after watching Abby finding her father’s corpse in the aftermath of Joel’s rampage through the hospital… I really don’t understand how even the most dedicated fans can’t empathize with, and understand why Abby hunted Joel down.

I really like these parts of the game. Same as when Manny dies. For the rest of the game you keep brutally slaughtering NPCs in a blink, and in these sequences you get to see what it feels like from the NPC's perspective.

Have you tried to defeat Ellie by tossing a bottle at her trap just before she sets it on the ground? It’ll stun her momentarily so that you can rush her for the finish. So satisfying to use her own trap against her!

This game will always be one of the most psychologically triggering projects ever.
In Part 1, every time you killed your enemies, it was out of self-defense or survival (food, drinks, medicine, safety). Until the hospital mission, where it wasn’t survival but pure murder/massacre. Because Ellie made a choice, even if she wasn’t in a good place when she made it, and Joel took that away from her. Although it is understandable why he did it. And the Fireflies were not savages or brutes like the other enemies in Part 1. They were just doing something noble, even if probably wouldn’t change everything.
This set the chain of events for the storyline of Part 2. How both Ellie and Abby’s sides wanted vengeance on each other while also showing their good sides. So many “shades of gray” and the compelling and corruptive concept of Hate and Revenge definitely doesn’t make it easier.
So I love this game for the gameplay and graphics since it reminds me of Deadpool. But I hate this game for its storyline because it was too dark and powerful.

If I was to compare characters in this series to other survival horror games, I would have to say Abby is like a female Chris Redfield. Say what you want about her actions in the story, she has cool guns and knows how to fight like a badass!

Because we don’t give a f about the daughter of a random ass NPC, if Abby was right, why tf do we have to play through so many of her memories in flashback sequences, if the developers believed that her story could stand on it’s own 2 feet we wouldn’t be forced down all her moral garbage sympathy points again and again. Is what Joel did fucked up? yeah, do I care? No. Reasoning, her dad was fine with killing Ellie because it was another person’s child when he clearly wasn’t willing to sacrifice his own. Why tf expect that from Joel in that case? Also he could’ve lived had he not pulled a knife on Joel and got in his way.
