Awww Kate this is literally the most relatable video I've watched of yours. I've had the same issue with my stories for so long and I'm so excited to see you grow as a writer and write the things you love. I know we all believe in you and are gonna be here throughout the journey and see you succeed. Plus honestly eventhough you feel like your writing for the past few months hasn't been good enough it let you to this decision to fall back in love with writing soeven if you don't realize it you've made incredible progress and I'm so proud of you!❤❤❤
but also can we talk about Pirates of the Caribbean??! Im literally obsessed with that series I can quote so much of the second movie it's alarming

I totally feel you. Your feelings are so so valid. I've had the same existential crisis (and I have a working theory every writer does at some point). But I would just say that coming to a realization like this or changing your opinion on your approach to writing truly doesn't negate all the beautiful work you've done so far. You've learned and grown *so* much in your writing journey, and maybe deciding you want to rethink your stories or your approach to them is just the next step in a long line of steps that leads where you want to go. So don't feel bad about all those stories, even if you think they're flawed now - they've made you into the writer you are today, and they'll still be an essential part of the beautiful successful writer you've become. ❤️

To be honest, as I was watching the first half, i was like "she doesnt want to write, look at her, she's doing lego!" (which i totally understand, I flippin love lego!) And i think it's so important to take a step back when you really dont want to write and when it makes you feel sad and discouraged, like you said, and take the necessary steps to change it. Well done you for taking that step! I love that you know you're a good writer but also that you are keen to learn and get better, that's the healthiest mindset you can have! and i'm so excited to read what you write!! keep your chin up, you got this ❤️

Haven’t been on UA-cam for awhile but I just got around to watch your video and I just want you to know that taking a step back for a moment to observe everything is probably the smartest thing ever. I feel like I can really connect to what you were feeling and your words in this video. I want you to know everything will be okay and you will write an amazing book, Hell I bet the book your writing now is freaking amazing! Don’t let self doubt and fear get the best of you because everyone’s way of writing is different and that’s okay, but you shouldn’t let it effect the way you want to pursue things. I will continue to say this until the end but I truly do believe in you and I believe you will get your book on the New York Times Best Sellers! 😊❤️
I know it can be frustrating to feel like your writing isn't what you want it to be. That definitely hits home. Just remember it doesn't have to be perfect from the first and sometimes art doesn't have a specific meaning when it's first created, sometimes the meaning is edited in. All that being said, write what makes you happy, if you feel it, so will the reader.
This is so kind and definitely what I needed to hear. Sometimes I forget that writing is an art form and need a little reminder, so thank you for sharing. ❤️
I totally relate with what you're saying you are definitely not the only writer who feels that way. There's something to be said about the "deadline" of Nanos but the process definitely lends itself to writing for the word count instead of for the story. It sucks putting so much time into something that you end up looking at and thinking is terrible or pointless. Right now I'm feeling that with my revision because I'm like dang I've written this book twice and it still sucks 🤣 Absolutely do what you need to do to bring the joy back! Yes girl Manifest!
