Matt, I was talking to a friend of mine who has had open heart surgery about Grandpa. She said that the biggest help for her was a lift chair. He won't be able to lift his arms, pull himself up, or push with his arms to get out of a chair or off the couch. I don't know if he has one, or if you know someone that you can borrow one, but it will be a blessing.
I made a fruit cocktail cake in 1977. It was made at the same time that the Renaissance Center was completed in Detroit, Mi. The cake was sooo hard that my dear brother said he took it downtown with a hammer and chisel and donated it for the cornerstone of that magnificent building! LOL. 😢 I Miss Him
