Hey, good idea with the strap for the sled, Just wondering does the webbing not hold the plate up,and allow water in?

@@davidfurney7367 hey hey David, not really, ultra minor. Are you using your Sea-Doo in salt water? If so you are probably doing a full engine compartment rinse after each session?

@@julienfillion1026 hey, yeah will be in salt water when towing, not had it long only been in the salt once so far. Just thought with a strap folded a few times it might let it in. Was thinking after I messaged just to run a bit of sealant around inside where the ski pole connects…. Should do a good enough job 👌 Cheers

Did you melt the holes in the webbing and/or put a washer around the hole? Do the Cabiners scratch the Sea Doo at all? Thanks for posting!

Hey @irwe905 That's a good question, and it will depend on the type of carabiner you are using. If there is a point of contact between your ST3 Hull, you can extend the webbing loop ever so slightly so the carabiner is in contact with the plastic railing instead. Another option is to flip the bungee cord, loop it around the webbing loop, and hook your carabiner to the D-Ring of the rescue sled, this way no hard edge will contact with the PWC. And yes, slightly melting the punched hole of the webbing is a good practice! 😉

A pencil type soldering iron has proven to be the best for this for me over the years.

Hmmmm tried this on my new GTI 130. The screw behind the Sponson fell into the hull. What now……..?

I would use the tie down mounts on the rear of the hull instead of rigging up those side gunnel mounts.

Fully agreed, although the GTX 130Pro does not come with those D-Rings in the back. Higher end Sea-Doo models does Indeed ;-) and most Yamaha VX and FX
