@Chewyfied I really don't know why they can't make a show like that nowadays. Isn't it great having no fancy camera work or cutaways or music... just experts, talking passionately about what they do so well. Shall we start a Facebook group to petition the BBC? lol

That's a good point. That's one of my favourite shows (I usually sleep in and miss it though!) James Martin is the perfect laid back chef/ host for that. And they do have some great chefs on there. PLUS the little Keith Floyd segments they sprinkle into the shows are wonderful. I still would like more old fashioned shows like this! In fact since I wrote that comment about a year ago, a friend of mine who makes films and has a camera and I are going to make a little YT series. It will suck, but..
@@aleks8888no I’m confused too. I’ve literally heard their names interchanged. The sons are Alain and Michel Jr I believe but Michel’s father’s name is Albert??? Wth is going on.

When I said "Why they can't make a show like that nowadays" I really meant... they as cooking show channels/ cooking show makers... I would never expect or want these guys to make another show. But I want to see more shows like this. I'm in the process of making my own at the moment...
@Chewyfied Yeah... if it's not swishy camera tricks and fast paced music with celeb chefs, they're not interested are they? Believe it or not I'm considering making a cooking show for UA-cam, I'm a trained chef and have several friends who are directors and in the film industry, so if the TV isn't going to make these shows, I might have to lol.

I love the way that Albert's accent sometimes seems tinged with Cockney. Like when he says "round and round" at 6:20.

These pros work fast! This is almost a mandatory video for people who enjoy and want to learn more about cooking.
The closest you get to this is Saturday Kitchen. When they have good chefs on the shows tend to be really great.
