    Lovely reminder to live gently, thank you. I put pressure on myself to wake up as early in the winter as I do in the summer, and it’s a struggle! I appreciate the reminder that it’s okay to listen to your body when it wants to slow down. Beautiful video ✨

    That kind of morning routines helps me to feel more grounded and ready for the day coming ! It helps to waken your mind and body up. I understand your point of view about the block calendar ... As someone who is also working alone and on my computer all day long by my house, how do you cope with working time and setting boundaries for yourself ? Like how do you set boundaries for yourself like "ok this is done for today" ? I'm not sure my question is clear.

    •  Рік тому +3

      Hey Sarah thank you for your question! This is so important and I agree with you sometimes "end of work day" is not as defined as in scheduled jobs. For me, it's usually when I'm done with my tasks for the day, unless it's super early and I feel like anticipating for the next day. Otherwise I usually stop by 5pm just because that's around the time I like winding down and starting to make dinner. Taking a shower or starting to cook helps me transition from "work mode" to "evening routine mode". I hope this helps you :)

    • @sarahnuancia
      @sarahnuancia Рік тому +1

      Thank you for your answer ! I guess the crucial point is that you fix yourself a list of things to do so you are mentally conditionned to end after everything is done. Transitions are hard to me because I can always find something new to do for work ... Anyway ! Thanks again and thank you for sharing so much content :)

    Your observations about time blocking and the mental load of chasing time made me think of the Ancient Greeks’ three modes of time that they personified. The two you made me think of are Chronos and Kairos.
    Chronos was the linear time, clock time, where the word chronological comes from. This is the time blocking type of time. Then there was Kairos, the quality of time, what the time is for, more of a rhythm and the potential of time. It sounds like you are leaning more into Kairos time. How wonderful to feel into both of those modes and see what works best!
    When we lean into seasons and allow them to affect us, like you were saying the mornings are slower and you sleep more, I think we also invite more Kairos time.
    Thanks for another great video! It has given me lots to consider. ✨

    I struggle to get up before 9am, winter or summer. I'm definitely a night owl.

    •  Рік тому +3

      That's beautiful too, I actually was reading in "Why we sleep" that there are really two categories of people (morning and evening ones) and that, as a night owl, it can be really difficult functioning optimally in work environments that are usually scheduled earlier in the days.

    • @chendaforest
      @chendaforest Рік тому

      @ yes I've heard it's because when our ancestors were all hunter gatherers the tribe needed some people up all the time, as if everyone was asleep at night they would be vulnerable to animals or rival tribes.
