    What should the width setting be for the zigzag stitch to accomplish this task? I’m a beginner and I want to add some trim to a lovely pair of flannel pajamas. I want to add the trim to the sleeves, and I would rather not sew through the center of the embroidery of the trim piece. And this is a great way to avoid that.

      It doesn't have to be very wide. I always test the width first to make sure the stitches are going to land where I want them.

    Hi, the foot looks like a stitch in the ditch foot. Is that what it is? If not, would a stitch in the ditch foot work for this kind of joining since it has that guide in the middle as well?

    • @LetsLearnToSew
      @LetsLearnToSew  3 роки тому

      It looks almost identical to my stitch in the ditch foot so I'm sure either foot would work.

    It would have been nice to see how you go around a corner with the edge joining foot. Thank you for showing how to go straight with this foot. Could you also use the Stitch in the Ditch foot to do this same thing as the Edge joining foot???

    Great video, I didn't even know there was such a foot. Very curious how you would have turned the corner on say a napkin using this foot.

      You could miter it like in quilting or what I usually do is a little fold of the trim with my needle in the down position and then turn the fabric. I use this when making old--fashion hankies.

    Wondering if you could "stitch in the ditch" with this foot, running it down a seam and using a twin needle to stitch either side? Thinking about those T-shirt necklines we see from RTW?

    I'm an instant fan of your tutorials. Thank you! Is there a trick to bringing the lace around the corner, keeping it flat?

    Should we use only zig-xag stitch with edge joining foot?

    • @LetsLearnToSew
      @LetsLearnToSew  4 роки тому +1

      No, you can use other stitches. Just play around with it and find a stitch that does what you want. I've used decorative stitches before.
