People seem to be kinda toxic in this comment section. It’s a Christmas celeb special, with £50,000 each going to 4 charities. Who cares about the dark destroyer “not trying” when in a time of good will, a huge sum of cash is being handed out to good causes. It’s not all about the game people!!!

Shaun did not try at all. He rarely takes that long only to give the wrong answer. Yet he did that multiple times on this occasion. He wanted them to win the money for charity.

I hate to say it because Shaun is an absolutely great guy, but he must cost The Chase production team an absolute fortune. I don't take much notice of the Celebrity versions because it's going to charity and that's fine, but on the regular shows he gets beat so often. And some of the totals he needs to beat in the final chase are really quite low. 13, 15 sometimes even less. Really, no team should win with a score of less than 20 if the chasers are doing their job. Anyway, Shaun really is a smashing bloke and he always seems very happy when the teams beat him. And it's not his money so why would he care ?

100%. Jenny is a quizzing machine most times and is very rarely defeated, although it does happen occasionally. She has to be the No 1. The contestants hearts must sink when they see her walking across the bridge. I'd be interested to know the win rates of the other chasers. Probably not much in it with the others - apart from Sean who clearly loses the most. No wonder all the contestants want him to be the chaser they are playing but I think he is the most popular. @@prn_97_
@hellblazer_180 It's funny you say that, because you can actually see how they rank based on internal testing all chasers have to do regularly and it shows something very different. Paul comes out top, followed by Mark, then Jenny, Anne, Shaun and then Darragh.
You have to remember they film far more than they show and they change up the order, so what we see isn't fully reflective of what's actually going on.
He may as well have just walked off.
The beast would have done that if he had been there.
The chaser *let* them win. Some of those questions were easy, yet he still got them wrong.
Dark Destroyer usually spends more time thinking about the answer and wastes time. He does it all the time nowadays
