Wow, excited to see your new digs! Cut a nice little parcel, love the little crystal opal. Good to see you all again, can't wait to see new exciting opals emerging in your new home. Till next time!
Me too.... It was when he said Let's have a look at some Ethiopian Opals that gave the game away for me!! LOL! Can't wait to see how they change, go clear or even crack! Seriously though, this is valuable information for people looking to buy opal. If some unscrupulous person is trying to pass these off as "Lightning Ridge" it's good to be able to tell if it's genuine or fake!
As always Justin a fabulous video, I don’t get to see it “live” because of the time difference (I’m in Scotland), but the first thing I do when I get home from work is watch your video. Love your work and please keep on sharing.
You were cutting some beautiful opals for a spell, they were magic ✨They had some lovely colours. Good luck with the move and Ruth's new jewellery business. Thank you Justin
What a stone indeed 😮 keep it. Opals are mesmerising… one can never get tired of looking at them. Thanks for sharing I am fascinated with this cutting process. All the best for your move. Best regards to you from South Africa 🇿🇦
Can't wait to see the news shop! Your stones turned out Spectacular. Was a bit nervous when I saw the uncut stones but things turned out so well. I'm excited to see what all the good news is you have coming out before January. Take Care & safe moving.💜😁🎉
Well done. My guess rate of which ones will work was about 50% this time, beautiful stones. Thanks foe sharing. It was a bit hard to heat her at times. Have fun moving! Be happy, safe and stay healthy 😷⚒
I’ve cut many opal from all over the world from Aussie all the way to Hungarian opal.. And I have some Ethiopian pieces I cut myself with diamond grit paste and final polish with not to wet white cerium oxide that didn’t crack or craze on me..some pieces are still in perfect condition after 2years now.
I bought some untreated natural Ethiopian crystal opal that's got lots of nice red, blue, and green flash to it and its the first opal I've bought that hasn't come from your country ,America or mexico.
@@blackopaldirect I really do like it all, you are very entertaining, I have just started cutting opal, so I am using Ethiopian opal, when I get good at that, I will try lightning ridge opal, if I can afford it? Thanks for what you do. Sincerely, Steve sumpter, oregon
I hit the reminder but dang it, I didn't notified when went live. Hello from Kentucky, my new found opal infatuation last couple years always goes back to your opinions. Thanks Bro (mate)
I missed the live, then when you asked if Tamika's mic was working, everyone said yes, sadly, it did not work we only heard her through Justin's mic.. Otherwise, as usual great show, thankyou.
The real reason Justin doesn't drop the gems, is because he found the 2nd tab in the character creation screen where you can allocate level points into dexterity.
Yea I am so happy I am subscribed to this channel so next time you go live with this beautiful women I can get on and chat with you too. Really enjoying bing watching your videos and learning about these amazing stones. My mom has this blue stone that is petty large that has a white star on it, I will have to ask her what the name of the stone is but it is amazing. Blue stone with a white star
Well my mom said that the stone is called a natural dark blue star sapphire, let me tell you photos do not do this stone justice, you have to see it in person it is amazing how the star changes and moves. Just beautiful. Do you ever cut this type of stone sir?
Contrary to popular belief, sand spots can be wished away with positive energy. You need to apply this energy too the back of the stone. The stone will apply this energy too whatever you press it too. When you press the stone too the wheel, the wheel will react with an equal amount of reversed energy. With enough control, and positive energy, you can do anything, Even wish sand away. It's called "Cutting stones in a good mood". May your new atmosphere bring a sense of pure positive benefit too you.
Treated opal can't compare to black opal, but it still has a lot of beauty for the price. And it does look better than untreated white opal. It is more absorbent, when wet, but the color comes back after it dries. Some Australian opal is also treated.
Sure hope the new space has running water. Enough of being a water boy like Gunge-Din! Lovely opal and good entertainment like always! Hope you have a safe and uneventful move. . .
Looking forward to seeing the interview with your Dad. You speak about him with such respect that I reckon he'll have lots to tell us!! Great live again, Justin. (As always!). By the way (1): Tameka's mic was working fine until you turned the wheel on. (Please apologise to her if I spelled her name wrong!) By the way (2): $4.5k for half an hour's work! As you say, "Better than a kick in the teeth" (or as we'd say in UK... "Better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick!")! Nice work, mate, well done!! By the way (3): Before anybody jumps on me, I know that much more work goes on before the "live", so it's much more than "1/2 an hour's work". ITS A JOKE and I claim "poetic licence".
Opal seems like a rich person thing. I’d love to own some amazing opals but the price is just to high for my broke self! Kinda sad that I’ll never get to experience it and just gaze at mother natures beautiful creations. And I’m sure there’s lots of people that are in the same boat as me. Also I’d love to see you make a video of the pieces that you have that you’ll never sell. I know you have some that you just can’t sell because they’re amazing, could you make a video on them?
Maybe just me but the differences between Ethiopian and the Aussie opal looks pretty large.. the black on the Aussie is in the background with the color largely sitting on top.. The Ethiopian color looks mixed into the black (both foreground and background).. Aussie Opal seems to put the black almost all in the background?

Hello Dear. I'm Getasew from Ethiopia. I watched you videos, it's very interesting. In Ethiopia as my information there is good types of Opal. But I don't have enough knowledge about gemstones and also I don't now how to cut and polish such gemstones. How do you suggest me? With Best Regards.
Justin I have a stone like one you appraised for about$2,200 but it has purple on the back side. I really want to make a double sided stone. If I do how do I evaluate the price ?
To me, Ethiopian opal doesn't have the "depth" that Australian does. Australian opal tends to looks like there's layers of color throughout the stone even when the color bar is thin. I know there's plenty of people out there who want some lovely opal and don't mind buying treated to save some $$$. There is some great Ethiopian opal, but I'd still recommend treated Andamooka matrix. It's absolutely amazing how much color there is even when you can't see it while it's in it's natural state.
The prettiest gem on show today is Tamika 😍

Well said
Is the reason so many opals now are sandpits because the bulk of the opals have been mined and this is what is left?
Wouldn't mind a nice pendant with a beaten by sand piece...would be a neat piece to run around with.
TBH think my wife would like that for her 10 year over a high polished pendant.
Debbie from Colorado missed live stream again, but not the beautiful gems.
