I fully removed the rear window from the frame and resealed it about 4 years ago, but the adhesive did break from the top side. Make sure you clean and primer the surface well and use a thick bead of adhesive overlaying the glass about 5 mm from the inside.
@@SATSMotors Sorry to hear that the sealant failed. We 944 owners continue to look for a solution to this issue. I've purchased Dow Automotive 5504GML10 Beta Prime Glass Primer and 3M Auto Glass Urethane Windshield Adhesive, 08693 (Medium Viscosity, High-Strength, Fast-Curing) for the future repair. We'll see how it holds up.
It’s sunlight that degrades the adhesive, I did a strip of plasti-dip over the adhesive on the glass to keep the sun off of the adhesive to prevent delaminating
The fan on a 924/944/968 will still run in the off position, it always runs very slowly to circulate air in the cabin. It constantly runs with the ignition on .
The hatch fix is one I haven’t seen before. Is the glass actually connected to the frame again, or has the adhesive simply filled the gap? I may copy you.
Thanks for the great video! Youve given me lots of maintenance projects to start
Thanks for the video. The window reseal is the next task ahead of me. Clutch, shocks/struts, belts/waterpump/etc all done.

Jake Ryan of sixteen candles would be proud! 👏
Should paint the 944 red then :D

That's a really good information. Need to replace the fan then. It squeaks when the switch is in off position.
Show love to the cars and they will last forever.... my mom owns a Kia for 14yrs and still working, perfect example. Its not the car, its the owner 🎉
Well said!
Thanks good job one little thing at a time
Repair some and new issues will come

It actually connects it to the frame. It is still holding up so I do recommend doing it.
Unwatchable! Music is terrible / distracting. I lasted 1 minute
I heard that there is a way to turn the volume off
