Apline needs to reissue these with modern updates
I sold those back in 2002. Killer dead-head deck. Utterly clean output. Be careful tho, they are very prone to mechanical failure.

I have the Cda 7998r, from 2003 and it works in 2020 as well!
And your biolite display hasn't burned out? I've bought 2 decks one display won't work at all. One is kind of dim

What type of mechanical failure? Is this the cd loading function?

@@thrty8street Hi, you need other faceplate the model Alpine 7897 works great and don’t die easy that LCD DIsplay
