This is amazing a fully functional King Tiger, had no idea one was still around. Knew there were a couple Tiger 1's, but not a King Tiger or the Tiger 2 or Konigstiger.
6 King Tigers made it all the way to La Gleize in the Ardennes during the battle of the bulge, all while Europe was experiencing it's worst winter in years. That's through mud, snow and the Ardennes terrain, so its mobility can't have been as bad as some say.
They were a masterpiece of engineering and quite more agile than you think..in the hands of kurt knispel..if you were an enemy. Your knees would be shaking more than that gunner in fury
@@kurtjammer9568A Sherman Firefly would be more terrifying because it’s much smaller and equally as destructive. With a Tiger you will see it for miles but a Sherman could be hiding in a bush waiting for you.

@@Javdoc no it isnt, it went through 3 foward gears almost into 4th by the time it got to the little dirt hill. it has 8 Foward gears.. this was about 1/3 of the speed it can go.. Dont believe everything you hear about them being slow.. theyre not THAT slow. it has 4 reverse gears, this right here is about as fast as it can go in reverse lol. They can cruise at 24 mph, this looked about 10mph
This might sound like an odd question and a thought that popped into my head but from what I'm aware, restoring these tanks can be difficult due to lack of documents and blueprints on them, parts etc. But has anyone tried reaching out to former German tank driver/operators of these machines? I know there's not many ww2 vets left in the world but at some point I would have hoped someone would've tried to reach out.

It gave only around 50 of the P series, i would love to see the only Tiger 1 p which ever served on the eastern front and got lost there, Not to Mix with Ferdinand or Elefant but one of them to See running would be nice too. In germany it would be possible to make an sturmtiger running, the one in the tankmuseum in Munster, i Heard his engine is in an Museum in Dresden. Well always nice to See old maschines running.
@gv4058 um, the one at Bovington (Tiger 131) is actually from the first production batch of Tiger I's. But it has the Tiger P turret, which can be identified by the cutouts at the lower edge of the gun mantlet (it needed those cutouts since the Tiger P had a raised engine deck).
@@kristoffermangilaI wasn't referring to tiger 131 I was referring to the tiger II prototype that was at bovington and was loaned to a museum in Sweden since it has the early turret.
80 years ago when it was new and came to France, the French complained. Now its an 80 years old used vehicle and they love it. You just can't understand people.
Huh... is something wrong with the transmission? The driver can't seem to shift it while in the optimal powerband, also a valvespring is a little spongy. 🤔
Seeing this King Tiger always annoys me because the French STILL haven’t fixed its engine and it’s been happening for years. If they aren’t maintaining it the engine is eventually going to set on fire or fail or both.
After the war ends for so long... The vehicle still a beautiful piece of art.
In my humble opinion I think the driver is doing a good job.
Yes the driver is very good. He is also a very nice guy. He spent the whole day with us a few days prior.

Fun fact Post war the only country which still used panther and Tiger Tanks was france for about 3-5 years until france made own Tanks.
They’re also the reason so many were scrapped and so few survive today

they will broke the engine or carburetors, its not working fine - carburetors are set wrongly too much fuel (on the left) - fuel air set
