I was always told these measurements should be taken from where the sled rebounds to. So not a 3 inch drop from when you pull back up on the bumper because realistically it's never going to be fully up unless you do pull up on the bumper.
With both new sleds I bought I found trying to dial suspension before the first couple rides was basically futile. It seems like the whole system needs to break in before any adjustments are accurate.
That is what we are thinking, that’s why we didn’t touch any shocks. Hoping after everything wears in a little, we will be able to dial it in nicely soon !
This has always been a issue for me. I have started to upgrade to 10 mm springs and the plastic coupler spacers have really solve this problem for me. When I install my gas can, tunnel bag, back back and gear + the weight of snow/ice clung to the skid/tunnel I no longer bottom out every bump. That's mountain riding with all avalanche gear on my body.
It's just enough studs for ice traction, not an overkill stud setup. My 120x1.6 ice cobra is the same as far as i know. Never slid sideways, can start and stop on ice (within reason), so it's just enough for safety.

Hey I just bought the same sled, did you notice with the ice cobra track they leave out the studs going up the middle ? Is yours the same?
Ours is the same, we do have another sled that has a 121 Ice cobra and we will check that.
