Clarks rotors are banned in the shop I work at. We have found them to not even be of uniform thickness.

Will the Magura work with your Shimano XTR 2 pot brakes?

I use the 2.3 mm thickness steel plate, without brand, it's only 5 for 203 and 4 for 180. and normal 1.8 mm by 160 mm is only 2.

I have had problems in the past with rotors from China (I believe it was a function of the quality of the metals themselves). I know metals smelted in China have been problematic.
    Has anyone else experienced this.

Shimano RT 84 are now Chinese and they are useless .

Hi. What's the thickness of those mounted ones?

Brake discs are simply steel discs. There's not that much room for relevant difference I guess. Much more magic in the brake pads.

There are hundreds of "recipes" of how to produce steel and a lot of ways to make a rotor from that steel

This, pinned model with the alloy spider; t's not a real floating disc you want the other versions that vaguely looks like a hope they have 1.5° of float which is perfect if you're okay with the constant pinging. 😂

Correct, it looks more like just 2 piece rotor, not floating.

I have used 2 160mm light weight rotors now for thousands of kilometers in Netherlands and they work very well. Only abroad they overheated twice at long step descends

Not sure whats the point? Maybe just to find more interesting looks, because SM-RT56M (180mm) cost 15,50€ at my local store (and that's just a bit more expensive than online). SLX ones (SM-RT66) cost 18€... There is quite a jump to XT ones, those go for ~30€.

There is noticeable difference between laser cut and stamped rotors.

Clarks says its UK but some models looks pretty similar to other brands like Spanish Galfer, it looks like they just rebranding some cheap rotors.
Still lazer cut, which is a big +.
