Hen:
This is a simple hen but it does have one step that can be difficult. It involves making a squash fold without any reference points. But, if you can make it through that step, you should be able to finish everything else fairly easily. It also uses both sides of the paper, so a sheet with red on one side and white on the other works very well.
Traditional Origami:
Traditional models have been around for centuries, most of which have no known origin. They are typically very simple models to fold and a great place to start learning the basics. They are good to teach to children but are also good to learn for someone of any level because they use the fundamentals of origami.
