I grew up on this as well but I don’t feel sorry for kids nowadays. Mainstream is indeed flooded with rubbish but good music is still being produced today. Takes some effort to find it, and good raves are not so common anymore but one who looks for others alike will still find them. Nothing ever stayed the same since always, otherwise we would have never had these music to begin with and we should instead embrace change. Not only this music is still being produced but it also gave birth to some new lines of music I highly enjoy. I hear you and understand what you mean to the soul my friend. I am at times nostalgic, really, but I’m often reminded by one of the most recurring words of our civilisation in every age and it’s “kids nowadays”. The world has always been in a perpetual change and the sooner we realise this the funnier and fun it becomes. Look how sweet the trends from the past come back in fashion in cycles all the time, basically nothing really dies and if something was good once given the opportunity the world will appreciate it again and put its spin on it. Something tells me it’s not actually her voice though. I feel like it’s someone else and she’s just the one it perform it as it her singing it. I could be wrong though
Sorry, didn't see your response earlier. If you're talking about the "stab", which is also in Altern-8's "Frequency", that's actually a sus-chord roland sample from an s-series sample library. Can actually be found on more than one roland sample based keyboard from late 80's to early 90's. The banshee chord is more like a pad/string sound which I found accidentally on an MKS-50. "banshee chord" isn't really a "banshee."
@@Евгений-д7н9г я не Сергей, но знаю конечно: например Altern-8, SL-2 (оттуда кстати Келли Оверетт, которая была как бы солитской в проекте "Cappella"), Dream Frequency, Urban Hype, The Ratpack, Genaside II, Messiah, Praga Khan, Lords Of Acid, Love Decade, Shades of Rhythm, да и много других проектов...
In the description it says there was no official video released for this song. But I could swear a video for Anasthasia was played on Video Music Box (NYC music video show that was played on PBS). I don't see a video on UA-cam... but does anyone else remember the video?
The weird thing is that there ARE music videos for several of their other songs from the same album. It doesn’t make any sense that they didn’t make for this one.
Must be one of those newfangled wireless keyboards they had back in the early 90's. Either that or it's running off batteries and has a really loud internal speaker lol.
Soultrip was the real deal, him and Merlin (whos in the house with the Beatmasters) deserve more respect than they got at the time. Always wish Soultrip and MC Tunes had made a tune together.
I am a heterosexual female with a crush on this singer... She is hawt! (Just crazy to think this song is thirty years old. This song is old enough to be the parent of a teenager!)

When those guys start to dance, that's literally the coolest thing EVER.
Mother of rave anthem a gamechanger for electronic music 👌🏻 Excellent
Wow wow wow still fresh. Definitely a techno masterpiece.

Never knew they'd appeared on TOTP! This is the best mix too.
Luve that famale singer. What a great group. What an ERA.
I doubt that's her actual voice, there was a bit of a trend of sticking slim dancers on the mic rather than the original singers.
Thats true back then. I cannot even find out who she is maybe you could find her. I looked every where I could ,but could not find her.
Thats Elliott E'lan Sly from Sly and Lovechild, real voice real singer

It was popular for the niche crowd in Brazil
