The Garuda issues are mostly because years of corruption and bad financial and leasing decision. But it's start to recover after some major restructuring
Airlines come and go...( Sorry... don't mean to sound casual or uncaring).. but as an ex airline employee ( thirty plus years) my heart goes out to the hundreds of employees who lost jobs ..some literally overnight...and literally for no fault of theirs...either through management mistakes / bad decisions... and / or through these unforseen circumstances that have struck the entire world...and hit the service sector's / industry the hardest... God bless them and their families...nice video... thanks for sharing...!!!
Another great and fun video. I flew on Philippine Airlines (PAL) in 1978 going to and from the Philippines. Most of the flying was on a new DC10-30. The plane was pristine the inflight service and crew were great. Also on the trip went from the Philippines to Hong Kong on a rather beat up PAL DC-8. But every leg of the trips were behind schedule. All the stop overs were late leaving after being late coming in. We even had a mechanical stop in Gaum. Anyway we said that PAL stood for Plane Always Late. Just a minor note, Bombardier is not pronounce Bomb Ba Deer but pronounce Bomb Bard I Yeah. It is a French Canadian Company and in the late 60s even English Canada pronouced it Bomb Ba Deer. Bomb Bard I Yeah, took out an ad campaign to tell us how to pronounce the name of the company which was named after George Bombardier.
Although fortunately, PAL has been finished the bankruptcy protection already, but there is bad news that it withdrew 3 A350s from service at the airline and returned them to their lessors. Although the aircraft registered RP-C3506 has already be sent to Munich for overhaul into the Lufthansa brand.
@@Top10Aviation Hi. I am a subscriber of your channel. Iam from Bangladesh 🇧🇩. Could u please make a fact video About Biman Bangladesh Airlines?? I hope u will make it🥺. Best wishes for u and ur channel
That information shocking A lot of tourists that I talk to love the livery of Mango airlines And a lot of South Africans that I talked to as well. (Sorry you feel otherwise)
If an airline need to change anything major = it should file for bankruptcy = to activate those clauses available to bankruptcy (bankruptcy protection) = then make the changes = then ... do more changes = including setting up another airline for (creative)accounting Not to be done with the Flag carrier Can pass(sell) assets from Flag carrier to subsidiary before bankrupting the subsidiary for yet another subsidiary. Start on a clean sheet.
Now there is a new airline called ITA Airways which was founded by the Italian government which has all of the previous Alitalia aircrafts and its operating pretty well so don’t be so worried

I liked that you use subtitles before. Still, the videos are great without it.

This is not true that Alitalia ceased operations in October. I went to Italy in December, and they were still flying.
You flew on ITA Airways not on Alitalia. ITA airways is still operating on airplanes with the Alitalia livery
@@Top10Aviation oh, that is what i saw then😀
Isnt lufthansa buying Alitalia?
No, Alitalia is gone since the 15th of October
