About Shy's bed area... Shy started out with a separate bed with a heating pad and bedding just like all of our mams do but she didn't want to stay there. Moms will move their babies & we can't stop them 💁 Additionally, babies the age of Shy's bio babies can climb right out of a basket. Watch some more of our videos & you'll see that we set up a few spots in the bathroom for each new mom and her babies. They almost always gravitate to that side of the toilet. I don't know why, they won't tell me. But I promise the bathroom gets deep cleaned between every litter & we never personally use that bathroom for anything other than showers. So the toilet never gets used, if that makes you feel better 😘
what a wonderful way to spend 19 minutes watching this kindhearted lady who is doing all the work and we get to merely sit back and enjoy it. God bless you
That is so precious and she accepted the itty bitties. Warms my heart. Watched this before I went to bed. So relaxing. Thank you. I hope they all survived and got forever homes. Thank you again for a beautiful video.
@Evil Ghandi Somehow, I don't think you're referring to DOMESTIC CATS. Wild cats are an entirely different issue. So, maybe you could limit your comments to the actual cats in the video and stop being an a-hole.
@Evil Ghandi YES! Snowflakes are devastating a specimen for the species. But cats, who are also introduced specimens, are more amazing than any brainwashed idiot. So I'll continue watching and having experiences with my cat and not miss you or your dopey ilk. Instead of preaching to people about how they live their lives you should perhaps concentrate on creating one of your own first.
What a wonderful foster Mama! She really did great! You are a wonderful foster mom as well! Keep doing what you are doing! There are so many orphans out there, unfortunately. Thank you for what you do and for sharing your videos. It hopefully may open even just one person’s eyes to adopting a cat or fostering or helping financially. You and your foster Mamas are angels! 🐾❤️🐾
This was simply beautiful. Thank you so much for sharing this, for all you do, & your big, kind heart. And to Shy for being such a wonderful Mama. All the very best to All!!!
I had to shut off the sound, because my 3 boy kitties: Merlyn - age 2 & Tecumseh - age 4 & Ta'ima almost age 5 yrs (Halloween) --- they all came running & were searching thru the dining room & kitchen looking for those kittens, & I had to open all the desk drawers, so they could see the kittens were not in there. Then once sound was shut off, I held each of my boys & gave them a huge hug & kiss & told them they were my babies!! My 3 girl kitties: Grammy - age 10 & Cherokee - age 4 & Cheyenne - age 2 yrs could care less they heard kittens & went back to sleep. Even my pitbull-mix, who raised all 6 of my kitties from kitten hood, also was looking for the kittens.
Darla Chontos, LOL This is actually pert of the reason I'm always behind on putting up new videos. My current kittens always flip out while I'm editing the videos!
My dog (white sheppard) comes running everytime she hears kittens cry, I'm not sure she knows she's not a cat My Cats have had kittens and Bailey always try to steal them away😊
Ingrid Godelieve any domesticated animal when they hear an infant cry, come running, wether it be prey drive or maternal instinct to protect the young.
I've felt the same way for many years about getting an escape from various toxic factions of humanity, particularly those who never miss an opportunity to get on their soap boxes or find make everything about politics.
I never tire of watching this vid. To see how Shy accepts the little ones is so beautiful and loving. When Shy starts to groom the little ones brings me to tears. It never ceases to amaze me the love that mum kitties have for their young, whether they are hers or from another mum. Shy just knows that these little ones need her help.
Timber and Macintosh are gorgeous! It's fascinating to watch their interactions with the new kittens. Thank you for your love and caring. "Bless the beasts and the children "
Thomas, I'm so happy to hear that! I love bringing you guys the cuteness buy but biggest goal it to help educate out communities and spread awareness ❤
PLEASE READ: I've gotten several comments regarding the way we are feeding the kittens in this video. Yes, you should feed tiny kittens on their bellies. When they get older they get minds of their own and some don't wan't to lay down anymore. The main thing is keeping their throat and airway upright so they don't choke or aspirate. So when they get squirmy like this lil dude and won't stay on their belly, it's okay to park him on his lil butt. As long as his mouth and airway are upright it's perfectly safe. Also, when they get older it's harder to hold their head stationary so we sometimes hold the scruff of their neck. If you insist on holding his head in place when they get this wiggly, they just back up, right out of you hand. I've never once lost a kitten to aspiration or choking and we've never injured a kitten. I need you guys to place some trust in me and believe that I know what I'm doing and that the safety and health of the kittens is always my first priority. I am not Kitten Lady (Nothing against Hannah, she's great, we just have a different way of doing things). I am not the kind of foster mom who will only show you the good times when kittens are cooperating and everything is ideal. My #1 reason for sharing our foster journey is to encourage more people to rescue and foster. I feel like it is really irresponsible to mislead you and get you into something without knowing the facts. The truth is that rescue work is hardly ever ideal. When you first start bottle feeding or hand feeding a new kitten, it can take a while for them to get the hang of it. I show you this because this is what reality looks like when we first bring them home.
Well done with showing reality fostering, feeding routines etc.... You do a marvellous job and I am sorry if some uninformed people give you a hard time..... Please continue with your wonderful work fostering...and educating people about same...♥️👍
You are doing a great job. I think it does get into concerning territory when it is posted online-- people may not understand *why* you are feeding them like that, and they may think that it is the correct way to feed a kitten, and they may try to do that on their own. I understand that you know what you're doing but I'm worried that someone may try and copy you and end up aspirating any tinies :)
That was a beautiful thing to watch. Shy is a gorgeous little soul and I'm so glad I got to watch this. It's lovely to know there are people like you in the world.
Mama Shy really is a Rock star ! Thank you for caring about the mama Shy and those babies. She accepted them nicely. I found that Kitten Lady's videos are good and full of advice I have been doing all she said and helped so many times. Newborns are very difficult to care but I give all of me to any kitten in my care. God bless you
How sweet it is. I can’t listen to it when my feral cat that I finally tamed enough to get spayed is around. As she hears kittens & she starts looking for them. It’s sad as I couldn’t trap her she had kittens & as soon as there were 8 weeks I found them all good homes. But when she hears any kittens she’ll start searching for them. I think she too would of made a very good foster momma. Like this one in the video. What a great benefit it is to have a female who is willing to nurse kittens that are not her own. It’s just warms my hart & soul.
Sue, thank you for getting her spayed! A lot of people don't realize how often female strays get pregnant and how stressful and unhealthy it can be for them. You've given her such a great gift 🙌😘
I found lovely and so interesting how mamas clean the babies, yesterday i saw one of the babies cleaning himself and I was so excited to see that and realized mama taught him well.
You’re well experienced, very caring & loving and clearly know what you’re doing. Thank you for everything you do and for continuing to make these videos showing us these journeys. You rock!
I love how you take care of all these babies. a helpful tip I got from someone when I was rescuing kittens was to wrap them in a small hand towel or cloth depending on their size. swaddle them like you would a human baby. it worked wonders and some of my more reluctant eaters took to the bottle better after I started that. I unfortunately didn't have a momma cat on hand to help me. Keep up the awesome work. You and Shy are amazing.
People adopt babies and children all the time, even those with disabilities. They fly to far away places and spend thousands of dollars to do this. That's all pretty nice.
I love this video wonderful that Shy acepted the baby's. What a good Mamma she is ,you are doing a great job taking care of them all ❤❤❤ Bless you... 🍪pocket.
Makes me so very happy and grateful for people like you....I had cats up until I was 28,and then was diagnosed with asthma, allergic to cats...it broke my heart...at the time I had 5 cats and had to find good homes for them....thankfully I found really nice car lovers❤❤❤
Rain White, Thank you! I'm so sorry you had to let your babies go! Did you have long and short haired cats? Some people are only allergic to one or the other so maybe there's a chance of having kitties again one day?
Great comment that sometimes the mother is away for food or relocation. This is true for all animals in the wild. Just observe unless there is some dire situation.
This is is so true... I live in a state where there's a lot of wild animals, and an insane amount of people who insist on "saving" the animals because they seem abandoned. We have laws for seal pups, deer and other animals because of this. Never approach an animal that's alone... My dad when I was ten brought back a fawn to our house who he found in the underbrush. The mom was foraging and he thought it was abandoned. The fawn was in shock and the ranger ripped him to shreds in private after he came to pick the fawn up, especially since he didn't know where specifically he found it, meaning that even if it lived, it could never be introduced in the wild without it's mother. Same with seal pups, we've had to put up signs and advertise everywhere in my state to leave the pups alone because the mom is most likely out hunting and people rush over to see if it's okay and take photos of it. The mom seals will flat out reject the pup with people around and if the pup lives it's now orphaned. Many even put blankets on the seal pups because it's shaking from shock and then they overheat and die. Sorry if I'm ranting, I got into an argument with someone today when they said that they wanted to save all the animals abandoned. (It was a video about a baby bison calf separated from it's mother.) There's a reason why there's laws against it, leave animals alone unless it's dire or it's been at least several hours.
Mom cats always make sure babys are well fed and cleaned and comfy before leaving...crying, uncomfortable babys are a magnet for predators..and if you happen to stumble on a crying litter...chances are something may have happened to mom..either captured or killed (knock on wood) when i was trapping and TNRing ferals i always released nursing mothers...because i knew there were babys somewhere..when i came acrossed babys..i used them to attract their mom. ( warm and safely)

9:29 that is one good natured, sweet , trusting, beautiful, gentle, loving , loyal , deserving , cute, graceful, born to be a mommy cat. The eyes are the windows to the soul and I can see a cat that is treated with love and care by the owners . god bless you . animals have feelings and souls like human beings and deserve to be treated with love and respect. This video makes me feel happy. :)
What a great video......so wonderful to see Mama Shy taking in these lil kitties quickly and treating them as her own.....cleaning, loving and feeding them ....just so precious. Funny also to see her two older boys wanting to get her attention by playing with her while she is trying to nurse the lil ones.....cute. I am sure they will become a happy, healthy lil family... Thank you for your devotion to fostering, loving and nuturing the litters of kittens that come your way. I have the utmost respect....... God bless you and (all) your lil charges...♥️♥️
Omg this is so cute!! I agree with a lot of people on here that anyone who says negative things are not welcome here. Good job momma cat for accepting the new litter
Wow, Mama Shy is amazing. She just knows exactly what she needs to do. Mama kitties are my favorite, they are super loving to their littles and it just spills over to everything. Thanks for sharing! 💚❤💚🐾🐾
Such a sweet momma cat! I found 3 babies about 3 weeks and man did I have a hard time getting them to latch. And I fed them the same way you did...and then one day...boom. They ate and have never stopped. They had parasites I guess...according to the Vet, so I had to give them meds...but 8 months old now and they are so sweet during the day and I call them "the devils children" at night because nothing is not a toy. Kudos to you for taking care of such sweet little creatures. :) Yay animal lovers all over the world!!!!!
You, your mamma cat, her bio babies are all amazing. I loved that her bio babies were not possessive of their mamma too, and they are so sweet and calm. You do such inspiring work. Thanks for all your expertise and love for these beautiful beings.
Our friends cat disappeared while she had a litter of kittens. We happened to have a cat that had kittens around the same time. So we took the friends kittens and introduced them to our mama cat. She gave us a freaked out look but took to them immediately. She was a great mom and all the kittens from both litters survived and found homes
Mama Shy may be okay with the new kittens, but I'm not so sure about Timber and Macintosh. They seem more like "Hey, who are these guys and what are they doing here?"
Patrie255, Timber and Macintosh were a little hesitant at first but they are actually LOVING having litter mates again! They love snuggling up with them and try to play with them. They even seem to know that they have to be more gentle with the little guys than they do with each other.
One thing i will add to this. I found Siamese, especially the males more inclined to step up and actually want to love and nurture orphans...females not so much...Siamese males make the BEST fathers as well..i had a bluepoint male who was a rescue. He adored kittens..my Dil had her first foster baby a neighbor had gave her..I took her and baby to pet smart and got the right formula and bottles. We got home and i showed her how to feed, clean and care for little Fox Mulder..i also told her about KittenLady vids..when Fox turned 5 weeks old and started showing his independant streak..my bluepoint Gizmo started making "Mommy Cries" at him... Fox was unsure at first..then he approached Gizmo slowly, Gizmo just reached out with both paws and gently tugged the baby towards him and Gizmo started grooming little fox...Gizmo proved to be a great foster dad and mentor..

Regina Loscutoff, Excellent point!
You are so lucky to find these babys

Looks like Shy loves being a Mama Cat. She will teach them good manners and I’m happy to see the other kittens are accepting the new arrivals.
Just found this video. Mama Shy is the BEST mama ever! Loving on this video from afar!

You've got a boss cat. I love her.
Shy was an awesome girl!

Omg this is so cute!! I agree with a lot of people on here that anyone who says negative things are not welcome here. Good job momma cat for accepting the new litter
Thank you!
Wow, Mama Shy is amazing. She just knows exactly what she needs to do. Mama kitties are my favorite, they are super loving to their littles and it just spills over to everything. Thanks for sharing! 💚❤💚🐾🐾

Amazing and this video informative ❤️
Thank you!
She is such a good kitty.
Scott B, The Devils Children LOL I LOVE it! Thank you for saving them!

Rebecca Gorski 😘
You, your mamma cat, her bio babies are all amazing. I loved that her bio babies were not possessive of their mamma too, and they are so sweet and calm. You do such inspiring work. Thanks for all your expertise and love for these beautiful beings.
😍😘
Aww Shy you are such a good mamma.
She is a excellent mama!!!
She was the best!
Love this so much - what a beautiful story, she is a wonderful momma.
Such a good momcat! She's still their momma even if she didn't birth them.
OMG. I’m sorry but Timber literally took the show for me . Those little eyes are so irresistible❤️
Beatiful baby kittens 😍😍😄😄😊😇😇😘😘😆💋💋💋😃😻😺👍👍👌👌
So informative, you are doing a terrific job! Loved the video. Thanks for sharing!!!
