You really notice the weight difference between your S2K and the M3 especially on the corner brake entry and as well as along corners and tight bends. But that E46 definitely has the power advantage.

Both drivers obviously know the ring well as can be seen from the lines they're taking. I've seen the same s2000 take apart an M5 driver who clearly wasn't a good driver and didn't know the ring. This was a good show of both cars capabilities, strengths and weaknesses by decent drivers..

Brakes and nose quickness is far better in honda......but going nearly the same speed that BMW made it look easy. Far less twitching and adrenaline rushed moments. GREAT DRIVING! :)

I was wondering the exact same thing right at the beginning. I used to do landscaping as a teenager and it probably takes for ever to mow, or they just have a bunch of people who do it XD
NIce job. LIke all the rest of the S2000 drivers (I am one), we own the curves and get left on the straights. You caught him a number of times in the curves, only to have him take off on the next straight. Wow the AP1's are twitchy. MY 08 LBP seems a lot more stable. You control it like a maestro, nice job.

I've seen a Porsche GT3 and a NSX just now on the related videos... and almost fell asleep. Nothing compares to driving a car how it's meant to be driven, like in this one.
as much as i love s2000 my heart always belongs to m3. cuz i have one manual coupe :) e46 fanboy and here i am wishing i also have another sunday car like s2000 or nsx or r34. can only imagine and watch unfortunately
beautiful spirit when racing.....im too an agressive one...bmw are wonderful machines maybe the best along with the fast but boring skyline...the s2k i love it but falls behind due to low torque...still a nice car...i love you convertible with a helmet.....got the motorcycle feeling...like when i ride my cbr...
I think without the passenger and the roof up you could've had that E46 (with the same driver). He knew the track, but a couple of bends he looked as if he was either distracted or misjudged the braking distance and ended up tail twitching. The M3 confidently eats tracks like that and looks the more "confident" with its near perfect weight distribution, but that little honda would definitely be more fun to go round the ring in! Cracking car, and well driven. And thats coming from an E46 M3 owner ;) So wish I was able to find the time to travel over and try the ring myself....
E46 has got a 90hp + advantage. the S2000 is lighter and a more balanced car which explains why the Beamer just takes off in straights. that BMW obviously needs new suspesion cuz it's bouncing all over. ditching the passenger and adding some new bolt on mods will likely give the Edge to the honda.
IMHO this is the best 2.0 4-cylinder engine in history. 240hp with no turbos, and sounds that are only matched by much bigger engines... congratulations Honda for making such a masterpiece, and for the video's driver for having the balls to drive it so insanely!

I would So try to fit an INLINE SIX in an S2000. Wish a such a long hood; it be a waste not too. I love the S2000 but 2 liter 4 does not do justice, no matter how hard it works. Why not fit in an ultra smooth BMW inline 6? It would drive so smooth and still shift so crisp. You can easily activate the vtech at 4,500rpm. My old integra kicked in the high cam at 5,800rpm cuz the U.S. E.P.A. at that time had just started to test the high rpm emission at 5,500rpm. Earlier Vtech switched at more usable 4,500rpm. It would be so surreal to drive such raw car as S2000 with nearly vibration free engine, while maintaining the best shifter ever. Miata's shifter is not as good as so touted. It's a bit notchy, but worse yet it has too much pivoting arc, from front to back rowing motion.

m3 driver is 2 times better than in the video with the m4. honda driver shows again a lot of skills and pushes the s2000 to the limit.
