Absolutely amazing and simplified explanation. Your voice is so persuasive and I am not flattering. I have an exam of Electronics today and so is my birthday. If I score full marks in it which I will, the credit is all yours!
in the last video you said the rms value is of load current. But the load current is DC current,so what's the point of finding out rms value? In this video in the input power use substituted rms value of current. How is input power is the same as power in the load?
Average value represents - DC content present in the AC (That's why av. value is zero for pure AC), RMS value represents - DC equivalent of AC content. am I correct?
@@kkb5418 from page-467 (5th ed), "The effective value (rms value) of a periodic current is the dc current that delivers the same average power to a resistor as the periodic current"
I think Mostafa is correct, You defined efficiency as the ratio of P_out and P_in, so, I_rms should be input current from the secondary coil which is indeed I_m/sqrt(2) coz its providing complete sine wave. I_m/2 is component of ac current in OUTPUT instead of input. Waiting for your response.
@@Madmaxkkb but input is independent of half wave action... Rms value of input should be Imax/ root 2 ... Because hwr affect only output not input... Please reply if you get it
Its because the output is not fully DC.it Pulsating DC.this is why the efficency has reduced by 50%. For 50% efficiency the output should have been square wave.
Peak inverse voltage of diode used should be double the value of Vm, setting a safety factor of 2. Vm is the pesk value of transformer secondary winding voltage

Please, explain the direction of open circuited voltage(V=PIV),Why is it minus to plus?
the rms valle value of the input current is i/(2)^(1/2) ..is it right
Rms value of input peak current /voltage is-Im/2
@@ADITYAKUMAR-xy6fg what mean peak current
I have the same doubt he is using the rms of output current instead of input current rms
Who have exams tomorrow?? :D
I have
Loool😅😅😅
Where are u now?
Today
i have
avg. value = d.c. value, how ?
He is referring Average load current which is at the output, obviously at the output only dc would be present
See brother in previous lectures avg current is nothing but said to be Dc current
SIR pl tell me the diffrence between efficiency and transformer utilisation factor(TUF)
This lecture is superb sir.Thank you so much sir.Ap bhagvan jesa hamare liye explain kar rahe hein.
Sir I think rms is equivalent to dc output and average value is equal to ac input. So efficiency should be (I rms)^2 / (I av)^2. Please clarify me.
if we are using diode of say 40V reverse bias voltage...and Vm is 50V,then in that case breakdown will occur...so how PIV can be equal to 50V?
Average value represents - DC content present in the AC (That's why av. value is zero for pure AC),
RMS value represents - DC equivalent of AC content.
am I correct?
RMS value is not DC equivalent of AC content, the first one is correct ...

In circuit diagram negative means zero volt then only your calculated PIV is correct
Thank you
is there any lecture videos about HALF-WAVE RECTIFIER WITH TRANSFORMER-COUPLED INPUT VOLTAGE
..??
did you find any lecture on that??

Heyy i wanna say .....Thankyou
Sir HOW PIV >= Vm will be safe. Have u considered negative sign? Is my concept is ok..... PIV
S Y11 it's pretty easy if u look closely as PIV is a fixed value
diode ka PIV >Vm hona chiya .....
why should we consider dc value as average value?
Sir... There is a complete diff in ur method.. And in tb.. Which one I have to follow
With the current direction polarities of diode reverse ..
PIV Must be less than or equal to Vm and you said it should be above Vm (at 4:28)
Must be more sir since the higher the voltage PIV, the higher of diode's resistance
if piv is greater than vm then diode will damage. how does it save from break down
GRS Channel no wayy c'mon
i think I of rms =Im/root square for 2
not I of rms =Im/2 only
Yea, I also have the same question....
Its for the output voltage. Im/root 2 is for the sinusoidal signal.
shoron tnt, Irms is the input voltage..... Not output.
Mostafa El Gin no its correct that they have said.... Check earlier videos

Sir it shows that..piv dependent on source voltage vm!!!...
Am i right?!
Why I^dc=I^avg
Average value is nothing but DC value...
excuse me ,isn't I(rms)=I(m)/root2
Same doubt... Because it's input current .
For hwr it's Im/2
@@Madmaxkkb but input is independent of half wave action...

Sir what will be the output current??
what is the value of Vm then?
Please reply
How Input ac power equal to irms
Efficiency is 40% why not 50%??!!
Coz only half of wf is blocked

I am Anchan Ur Genius..Got it
sir in your derivation you take same resistance for ac and dc it is wrong
i think you take idle diode
If vm is 400 sinwt then how to solve
How Pin=Irms^2xR someone please clarify
in 4:10
PVI must be greater than Vm.
How much PVI value?
thanks anyway.

Sir I have doubt in HWR, How do we calculate maximum dc load or output voltage???
