Ange is the best thing to happen to Tottenham since Poch. Yesterday was shocking, cheering an opponent's Goal especially if it turns out to be Season ticket holders. They should be questioned about their suitability for being Home Season Ticket holders. For that 90mins nothing should have mattered other than supporting the Team against the Best Team in the Land.
From Aussie: Ange is totally right!... All Managers want to win but we can assure you Ange takes it to TOTALLYYY another level. Ange was shocked Spurs Staff were 'joking' to put out the 21 Side Team. And it is true, the fool who was sitting behind the bench yelling at Ange throughout the game "throw the game" until he finally snapped, and rightfully so. Ange was absolutely right in what he said at the press conference, for Spurs supporters to be singing for another side inside the stadium is TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE! Spurs supporters should have a veryyy close look at yourselves. And NOOO, Celtic supporters would not have done what Spurs supporters did. NOOO Ange DID NOT go over the top, you are wrong! Ange walked away from the Aust National Side Managers Job (and went to Japan) when he qualified them for the WP because the Aust Federation were 'just happy' to qualify, Ange had far more higher aims. Spurs should be veryyy careful, Ange could easily leave and go to a Team and Club who wants to win ALLLL THE TIME!!.... regardless!
I am just very shocked/upset about the support that our lads weren't able to receive at our HOME ground. It was silent.....
The atmosphere in the stadium was shocking, our stadium is famous for the crowd energy being able to lift the players...the complete opposite happened...the lack of energy zapped the life out of the squad. I thought we were playing at the ETIHAD..
To hear "oh when the spurs" after we went 2:0 down was painful...how can Ange NOT be pissed about that?

I have a been spurs fan for over 40 years, I am from Australia and subscribe to a lot of spurs channels because I like the array of comments and update news. Today listening to fans happy we lost and fans in the stadium happy we lost is beyond me. How can we win anything with that attitude, supporting a team is about winning, Bill Nicholson would be rolling over in his grave knowing we were cheering because we were loosing. The players wanted to win but they hear the chants from the stadium when City score, WTF !!! no wonder players come to our team and under perform for a pay packet, you would think for over 140 years there would be more to it than being happy loosing. Maybe it is a generation thing, but rivalry over loosing??? chance to get into CL and get the funds to buy players and win something that goes on the record books then having a loss.
Great performance desrved at least a draw. Ange is right we the fans have step for the team

Personally I'm not interested in this ridiculous argument about wanting Spurs to lose, it's a non issue as far as I'm concerned and one very astute way to deflect on what has been some terrible performances by players and tactical ineptitude by Ange.
I don't think he's a bad manager, I believe he's average in the same way, Harry Redknapp was.
I studied Ange very carefully once we were linked with him and listened to as many press conferences from old clubs to get a sense of understanding for his character.
He's had an OK season provided we get 5th however I do believe we have a top 4 capable squad.
For me, Ange was Levy's saviour. Here is a man, who single handedly took and continues to take all the pressure from ENIC. They put prices up, sold and didn't replace Kane, went for cheaper options in the market and Ange didn't ever murmur a word.
Could anyone imagine Conte still being manager 😮.? ANGE must have been a massive breath of fresh air, just like Redknapp after Ramos.
However Redknapp just like Ange wasn't a tactical genius, I remembered him self destructing when 3rd was in our grasps but we got 4th and Chelsea won the Champions League. Redknapp thought he was clever but the small print on the contract had stipulated Champions League qualification was his remit.
Harry overplayed his hand with Levy and was unexpectedly sacked after twerking between England and his corruption charges for most of the season.
Levy will inevitably sack Ange once he's surplus to requirements. For now, Ange serves a purpose to divert attention and pressure away from ENIC, as first priority.
The minute Ange becomes high maintenance like a Conte, Jose or Poch at the end, then bye bye.
What Ange has been good at is change management but as an expert in digital transformation myself, what I know about change, is that no meaningful and long term change can come without the full commitment of all stake holders and leadership. As long as Levy and ENIC are at Spurs expect no glory.
Bloody horrible night , surreal , never have I been so torn apart over a game of bloody football . Hope we never experience anything like that again …

Honestly Ange should walk, his mentality is far too good for Spurs. They are always far too worried about Arsenal. Might as well just get Jamie O'Hara to manage if this is what is wanted by the fans.

Certainly not acceptable behaviour given that the same fans (I'm assuming) constantly ask levy to do better. Constantly trash certain players as not good enough. Constantly point out a lack of trophies and poor mentality. You act as if you are entitled. You're entitled to nothing.

I don't get this "where was the anger the past month...". His anger is obviously derived from and directed at the attitude of the fans and it sounds like within the club itself. The City game was the first time he had experienced this attitude. In the previous games, he was consistent with his comments since the beginning of the year. Also, how do any of you know how he is with the players behind closed doors? You don't see it on TV so it doesn't happen? I guarantee you that Ange is fully capable of tearing the arse out of players when he feels it's necessary which I can only assume happened multiple times over the past month.
Totally agree. Using previous defeats to justify the fans mindset of wanting to lose thia game is wooly thinking. The team may have lost these games but didnt approach any of them hoping to lose. I understand fan rivaly, but cutting off your own CL nose to spite your Gunners nose is self-defeating and small l-minded. Ange is 100% right to call it out.

All it is is people is that people should understand that people have different lived experiences or being a fan and rivalries and ALL sides should respect that people are entitled to feel however the fk they want to. Anyone who tries to say what a real fan is , is the problem . Anyone telling other fans how they should feel is the problem. That includes ange if that’s where he’s going with it.
1. Rivalry between us and that lot down the road was there before this set of players and this manager. It will be there long after they are gone.
2. Wouldnt be in this position if the team and manager had done better on the field of play this season.
3. We werent good enough to beat city anyway given recent performances. We were never going to win but the performance counts and it wasnt that bad. A good indicator of where the team is.
4. Everyone making out that this game was like the last few hundred doesnt seem to grasp the gravity of point 1. If Ange manages us for the next 400 games who will remember this one? No-one, especially if they actually progress to winning stuff.
5. One more question for Ange - They could have done better in the domestic cups. So where was the winning mentality then and in the games we got smashed?

Are we going to blame the fans for that too? Its Levys time to shine - if he want too. Hasnt been able to compete financially and can now. Has a decent manager, will he back him? I wanted us to win, but am not upset that we didnt. I wouldnt be jumping up and down like some ppl did. The fans arent playing the game are they. Also what Spurs fan enjoys being put in this position? I would have preferred to cheer my team to a cup final or onto the CL, but the team and manager sure havent made that easy for a lot of the season. All could have been avoided if they had done their jobs better this last 1/2 of season.

In reality Ange's meltdown is just a smokescreen to get Harry Kane back. Levy can take advantage of that clause that said we can get Harry Kane back if he doesn't win a trophy at Bayern during his first year.

I think as a club we really just need this summer to come fast. Things have been quite toxic over the last few weeks and I think a refresh over the summer and a transfer window to get us back on track is what's needed.
Just want to put this season behind me and enjoy Europe next season with Moore and Bergvall

I won’t have these Arsenal fans taking the moral high ground. They wanted to throw Europa league which is a trophy if it meant Spurs won the champions league. There is even some English Arsenal fans that couldn’t even support England during the period we had 5/6 starters in the team, they are absolutely pathetic.
The moral of the story is this is rivalry and it’s part of football don’t be so surprised when this arises.

That's very generous. Tripper wasn't selected for Euro 16 and he wasn't selected for the qualifiers later that season either. He didn't actually get his debut until he was like 26-27, which was like the middle of 2017, and Walker was still the main RB, and he had gone to City in the summer of 2017.Clyne was also in the picture as the back up RB for most of that season. Rose started 3 games at the Euros but was later replaced by Bertrand. By the time the WC Qualifiers came around Bertrand was in as much as him, and then he started every WC qualifier in 2017 because Rose was injured for a long time. Walker, Dier(midfield at the time) and Kane were the only consistent starters at that time. So 3 players.

Also, all the obvious progress we’ve made in spite of losing Kane, massive injuries and entertaining attacking football is also irrelevant. We are not in the Europa League we need a result against Sheffield. You reap what you sow. We could have won the Man City match if the fans supported the boys, but their hatred for Arsenal was greater than their love for Tottenham. It's like a Shakespearean Tragedy.
