One of the best things
to happen to me was discovering BIG County .
This song and movie are things of majesty beauty and move me to tears. Rest in peace Stuart ❤
Top song & brilliant film
When Big Country played , by fuck , they were something else !!
Should be Scotland's National Anthem. Been saying it since I heard it all them years ago. 😀
Words can't express how much I love this theme. The movie is superb too.
Totally agree with you
Cannot understand why this wasn't released as a single. Such a great band, so many woeful decisions.
It's a B side on the Look Away single.
If I had to die and the chance to listen to just one song, this would be my choice.
That would break your heart, when the bass starts, ,, moves mountains.
Dunfermlines finest 😊
Incredible, heart breaking and inspiring at the same time, , truely unique.
I LOVE this version ! Quite 'raw' as opposed to final version 👏
Aw man FINALLY the full version, someone uploaded it thank you so much!!!
What a gem!
If yer in a hurry. Get this on and u will be 10 mins early 👍

The Clown and the Wolfman. Brilliant film!!
One more time to Strathalt / Strathault 😀
Marley Bu This is a gun.
@@cherrynook they know! 😂😂
Marley Bu See these....Contact lenses...My optician knows his asre from his elbow. I need to watch this again. So funny.
Brilliant
Brilliant 😀
Where did this come from? I didn't know there was a soundtrack album other than the rarities part 1. This is just brilliant!
It's from the fairly recent The Seer Remastering with a few bonus and unreleased tracks.
Patrick Bradley Cheers Patrick. That'll be my next album to get.
No bother, it's a shame they still haven't released the title sequence version of main theme as the bass sound just as they are getting into the lift is a synth sound in the film but on the record it's like a really loud distorted bass guitar.
I also wished they released the tracks without the stupid voice clips from the film ruining the music! I wonder if masters of that even still exist or just the 2-track mixed down master. Oh well.
I always felt that they should have hired Big Country to play the soundtrack for parts of the movie: Rob Roy. Even though two of them were English(Tony & Mark); it was genuinely a Scottish/Irish sound every time they used the e-bow.
Mind Bruce was born in Canada and Stuart in Manchester 😀
@@marleybu7984 Of course. However, Stuart was raised in Fife and likewise Bruce was raised in Scotland. Your persona really depends on where you grow up; not where you were born. I was born as a German/Irish American in Illinois. I now speak Spanish(and English) and live in Mexico. I married a Mexican, I teach Spanish/English at the Universities, and I call Mexico my home more than Illinois(where I was born). The BeeGees have a similar story, too. They were born in the U.K.; but, migrated to Australia at a young age. Barry(the last BeeGee) has an Aussie accent...as did his brothers. He identifies more with Australia. That's the only point I was trying to make. Maybe you'll leave your country someday...and find that you feel more at home elsewhere. I did.
@@Daniel-yc1ff yeah I know. My ex was born in London but brought up in Dundee. My dad Kirkcaldy but was raised in Dundee too. As far as I'm concerned both Stuart and Brooce are Scottish 😀
@@Daniel-yc1ff yes I know. Stuart was the greatest Scottish poet since Rabbie Burns. I know what he sang about. I feel the same cos I'm Scottish and love my beautiful country. Seen as much tartan at Big Country gig as in Caledonian kilts!
@@marleybu7984 Yeah, there will not be another like the original Big Country. With Stuart...they were legends who told tales through music to a world which needed to wake up. Be proud of your Scottish roots. Lord knows Stuart was. They even kilted up for the Final Fling. Also, check out their 1990 rendition of Killiecrankie(true tribute to Rabbie Burns). ua-cam.com/video/9v-IHrSBRd8/v-deo.html
