My biggest complaint about this performance was the camera work. It was a shame they zoomed out during the choreography so much. Because if you watch the fancam Jungkook went hard with the dancing at the end. Other than that Jungkook and Fahad Al Kubaisi did so well and I can't wait for new Jungkook music in 2023.

Well, of course they’re gonna zoom out. The show wasn’t all about Jungkook. It was the opening ceremony of the World Cup so of course they’re gonna show the stadium.
He made a history so proud of him !!!
He was so amazing many football fans followed him on insta after his performance and were praising him so much !!!
I feel Jungkook was expected to just prance around (like Fahad Al Kubaisi did) during his performance and that's why he learned the choreography in so little time. And Jungkook being Jungkook... Nop, that's not going to happen 😂
About the controversy about Qatar, I think the creative team did the best they could to separate the song from the government and FIFA. Both with the lyrics of the song and the chosen artists (we all know BTS' message already, and Al Kubaisi is considered a human rights activist in his country), and also with the diversity shown on the music video
It's not African beat, it's Arabic as Qatar is part of the Arab world ,but yea I can feel how similar both can be .
Regarding the controversy, the entire world didn't talk about any issue when the world cup or Olympics were in Russia or in China for example, but suddenly all the negative focus was on Qatar only !? Why?!

To watch the complete performance of Jungkook, you need to watch a fancam - the cameraman was zooming out whenever JK was starting to dance. Also, inviting JK to sing for the WC is not just a testimony for the success of the group but also for the artistry of Jungkook as a vocalist and performer in general.

All this time, I've only focused on Jungkook. I didn't look at the background dancers or anything. I didn't like the camerawork, but this was just about Jungkook only for me. He did great for what he had to work with. The reaction from you guys made me realize that, but Jungkook is the only one who counts for me in this situation anyways. I will always support him.

the camera work was atrocious. they barely showed the main star of the opener. all the far out shots and cuts to the dancers instead of the damn performer. i wish they actually showed him more so everyone could see all of the hard he put into this performance in such short notice. he was dancing a lot but the horrible footage kind of ruined the excitement.
Dreamers is such a mood brightening song. Jungkook performed it very well in FIFA world cup opening ceremony. Felt so proud of our Kook while watching his energetic performance with the legend Fahad Al kubaisi !!!!

The dancers didn’t have that much time to rehearse and they where never able to rehearse in the stadium because of fifa rules but I think over all the opining was great
