I love your no-fuss approach to style. I tend to get overwhelmed by my wardrobe and then I start to overthink things and second-guess whether or not what I've put on actually looks good on me. I need to relax and take a page from your book 😅
Summer has officially started here in the Philippines and during summer, heat feel goes up to more than 40 deg.C and it is humid (especially in highly-urbanized cities), but yes, I need to see Emma's spring capsule wardrobe! So classy and functional!
Love the long skirt! Love the way it flows. I'm seeing lots of 90's style dresses and skirts on the racks. Love the oversized brown striped shirt, very cute!
Amazing vid again - loved hearing you fangirl over Julia Roberts!! It would be really cool to see a video about your style icons/inspo if that's something you're interested in :))
Ordered The Row Ginza sandals after seeing them everywhere and I've returned them already. They are so uncomfortable around the toe. Ordered the Dear Frances Kin after this recommendation. Thank you!
Loved this video! Every piece classic, and love how you style them. The floaty trousers....yeah, going looking for a pair of those. And that silk skirt is still goal!! Well done, Emma 👏👏👏
I absolutely love a blazer, but I never find myself actually wearing one, which is a luxury problem to have but around the house, I don't see the point, and I work in a very casual office with plumbers and the like walking in and out so I have tons of blazers who do not get use lol
I soo admire your minimal basic yet practical and classic fashion sense. Yes to Julia Robert's style in Pretty Woman. I remember my mom saying that fashion basically repeats itself. Thanks so much for another spring staple video. It was a nice surprise as we're going through stricter lockdown 2.0 here in Manila. Hope you're having a positive week. Stay fab and safe! xoxo
I just love your style, I basically live in jeans. Jeans and T-shirt in the summer, Jeans and a jumper in the winter. Anything else is complicated and I don't want to think about it. But you've given me some inspo so I'll tentatively introduce some other aspects to shake things up a bit.
Here in Greece we usually wait for May to wear sandals in the city even though it gets warm much earlier! Sooner than that they look frumpy (except if you're on a beach or home), can ruin a stylish outlook, and only tourists do that. I can't stand chunky sandals as they look frumpy too, even if they are Chanel and I am French, but everything else is exactly what we wore in the 90s: the jackets and blazers, tshirts and shirts, knitwear, jewellery, loafers, so similar to the video - it's always been my signature style since then, and I actually still have some great pieces from back then because they were made in much better quality than today. The only things I will never wear again is pleated trousers: I never really liked them then (not so flattering) and I won't go back to them. But I love trousers without pleats.
Each to their own, it would be really boring if everyone loved the same thing but I love my chunky sandals and I don’t feel or look frumpy at all, in my opinion anyway 😘
Yes it wasn't too bad today but tomorrow and weds should be nice, then back to rain for a couple of weeks by the looks of it so will have to enjoy it whilst its here 🤣
I need to buy some beige or cream trousers, and a blazer. You're lucky having ling legs, I'm only 5'2 and it's a constant struggle to find short leg trousers. I'm a 29" inside leg. Hate buying trousers, tend to go for ankle length now.
I always find some great inspiration on your videos and this is no exception - love the black trench on black outfit. I don't have a black trench but now thinking I may need to get one :D
Gorgeous picks and loving how your style has/is evolving. Particularly loved the all cream outfit with Judith, so chic. The trousers are so flattering and versatile. Sadly the weather here is still quite wintery, 😒 but lots of inspo for when it gets warmer. Basics video sounds great. It’s so grim that I only shaved my ankles yesterday as I had slightly cropped jeans on 😳🙈🤷🏻♀️. Things have reached a whole new level in lockdown 😂
Love a good basic especially black and tan! A good blazer is and has been my go to look addicted shabby chic sort of. Hope you and Simin are doing well and the furbabies! Luv from 🇨🇦
Absolutely love the fact a 17 degree day is perfect for wearing sandals for Emma where as a 17 degree day for me is perfect to layer up and wear a nice pair of boots🥺😂 *most of the year temperatures where I live (Mexico) go from mid 20s to high 30s, sometimes even 40 degrees🙂
I love how you style your sandals making the look effortlessly chic ✨ and so put together at the same time. Also, i becoming addicted to shirts 🤔 maybe because of you lol 😂❣️
Really enjoyed this video Emma thank you. Every time I see your black Celine bag my heart skips a beat 🖤🤩. P.s looking forward to Simons Spring/summer look-book featuring.......🦀🩳🤣
I loved the video but your accent and voice is like soothing... i could have it in the background and just destresses me when i think of style and shopping and switching wardrobe to spring... sooo calming. I have nothing in common style wise with you... every one of my pieces is insane and colorful lol no neutrals no basic cuts all stamps and mostly dresses and skirts lol so really i don't have any pieces like yours but for some reason i reeeally enjoy listening to what you like how you do stuff...yout tips. thank you.
I do have to say i subscribed originally for the bags... your choices and advice on bags... love. Still wanna get a puzzle bag... thinking about which color... that -tan- one you have... love love love.
Love that trench! I have a black mens Burberry quilted trench I got for the real real but needed something in khaki more suited for spring. So I bought a new Ralph Lauren trench on sale I love it your collection makes sense I love it, I've been looking for a pleated skirt to go with a pair of fancy dad sandals that I got from TJ Maxx of good quality I tossed my old pedicure sandles so the new sandles have duel functions 😻
Loved the outfits omg I got so many ideas and soon I want to get some of those jewelry pieces and when your nose itches it means someone is thinking of you or you will soon receive unexpected company I’m half Native American that is our belief also half Anglo Saxon interesting combination right much love and appreciation ❤️💕
@@EmmaHill Thanks a lot! I am in love with the Toteme coat (toteme-studio.com/products/signature-trench-khaki) but I would prefer it to have a belt! I ordered the other one (toteme-studio.com/products/techno-cotton-trench-concrete) but it came very very big so I had to return it and I am not sure if this is the one. So I am not sure what to do! I am looking for a timeless piece that I can wear over and over again, light brown and a bit longer (I am quite tall) :)
I haven't been wearing my loafers as much as I used to, now I realized it is because I was wearing them with my jeans only (which I decluttered this year) Dilemma, do I buy jeans again or do I declutter my loafers. I was not ready for this piece of inside 😁 Love your style advise!
Love everything. I really want some black quilted sandals like your Chanel dad ones. I can’t afford Chanel so I’m hoping I spot some similar ones that are within my budget.
Hi. Welcome back! Your videos were much needed alwaorld around! :) I have a question regarding/comparing the black leather "banana" Mango bag versus the creamy-beige Massimo Dutti one: are they equivalent in terms of the amount of stuff than can be fitted inside? And regarding "sturdiness", is the M Dutti one very delicate or frail? I'm considering purchasing one of them (in black) but not sure about which one. I tend to carelessly put everything inside my bag and throw it around...
I would say they both probably fit about the same and neither are structured but the Mango one is probably a bit more practical in terms of not marking as easily as it is fully leather where the M Dutti bag has a lot of linen 👍
very nice so cool to see you in long pants it makes such a difference to your over all style you have such a great figure i find i have trouble tucking my tops in as i have a little tummy sticking out and it just looks so bad. cheers, enjoy the sun we are waiting for winter to hurry up its been 31 this week to hot, i cant wait to get my boots and coats on
Love these combinations. About the sandals and long wide trousers, I find I end up stepping on them inside the sandal (if it's a flip-flop style with no back strap) and then tripping all over the place. Not great since I walk everywhere. Maybe that's just my personal ineptitude?
Maybe you need to slightly adjust the trousers as they could be just a smidge too long. I’m a bit of a shuffle-walker so I drag my feet which means I don’t really have this issue but length is the only factor I can think of that might help x
Love this video! Are the Veja esplars comfortable? I had to return the V10s before :( and would like to try either the campo or esplar. Would like to see how they compare! thanks
I would go for the campos as the leather isn't stiff and the tongue is padded. I do find the esplars more comfy than the 10s but they do still need a little breaking in 👍
Hi Emma, could you please tell me what size you wear in your blazer with The Curated ? I would like to finally get it, but get it right... I'm more or less the same height and frame as you and was thinking going with the Medium. Any thoughts ? Thank you so much, hope you and Simon are well !
@@EmmaHill Thank you so much. When wearing the size Small, are you able to fit a couple of layers comfortably, say a tee and a cashmere or merino knit ? I also meant to ask which size you wear in the Arket poplin shirts - I hesitate between 36 and 38. Again, thank you, have a lovely day 🙂
Hi Emma - love your style and aesthetic. I’m petite and wondered whether you could recommend any stores that have the simple but stylish vibe in quality fabrics for petites. Thanks Stella
Hi Emma. Just a quick question relating to the Dear Frances Kin sandals. I am worried about the fit as a have thin narrow feet, do you have any tips by chance on whether they are best suited for wide/narrow feet? Thank you
But I’ve made a few videos recently so I haven’t been anywhere 😆 However I did decide to stop weekly vlogging last Summer as it was needed for my mental health so I’m afraid there won’t be any more weekly vlogs x
It’s all relative isn’t it... I’d never wear sandles if it was only 17 degrees C. It would need to be over 25 degrees C for me to even consider bearing my toes! Greetings from Melbourne, Australia :)
🤣 Oh yes its definitely relative to what you are used to. Here in the UK we need to make the most of even the slightest increase as our summers don't tend to last very long 🤣

Can you do a video of summer dresses? It's so hard to find casual dresses. Especially comfortable dresses without wholes in the side or back.
I love Mejuri - I only wish they had more white gold options. I'm waiting for so many of their designs to be available in white gold!
thank you for continuing to produce videos. They have been a great pick-me-up during these lockdowns! 🙏

Hi Emma! Do you recommend any belted trench coat? I am looking for a timeless one!
It would really depend on colour, fabric, style etc. as there are so many. 👍 If you let me know some more details I can try and help out 😃

I’m thinking of a tragus piercing when someone is open to do it- does it hurt a lot?
I didn't find that it hurt, it was more like a tight squeeze but it will obviously depend on your pain threshold 👍
