Be sure to stop by Crazy Horse while in the area, the museum is really incredible. Custer State Park is also in the area and worth the trip. Before leaving SD, ck out Sturgis, then a gorgeous drive along the river to Deadwood which has an equally cool museum and a ton of history. We were in this area late April for 2 month trip.
100 years ago when I was a kid there was a gravel parking lot alongside the road. We would stop and drop a nickel into those giant binoculars and look at the big heads. I was there in 2008; it has turned into your typical tourist trap. I went to the Crazy Horse Monument the next day it is good as well, has a good story of the man who started it. I love your channel it is like a cool breath of fresh air on a 100 degree day. Thank You
I was there in 2007. BIG mt goat in the parking lot! Right there on the side of the lot! Great place. Everybody should see it! For me it seemed a bit smaller than I had pictured it. But still impressive.
You two are ace.. ide love to do what you are doing, what a time.. great great great 👍🏻 keep posting videos.. I now fling my arrows with both eyes open.. all the way from the 🇬🇧.
When we made the trip out there when I was young we visited Crazy Horse first. They hadn't made a ton of progress on it visually at the time, it the scale was so epic you couldn't help but be in awe. Well, we continued up the road to Mt. Rushmore and as we turned the corner where it finally becomes visible, my little sister (5 yrs old at the time, 32 now) says, "that's it?". So, to future travelers, go to Rushmore first, then Crazy Horse especially since they've done a lot of work in the last 27 years.
When you leave Mt Rushmore, go 26 minutes more to the Crazy Horse Memorial, 12151 Ave of the Chiefs, Crazy Horse, SD 57730. HUGE MONUMENT to the Lakota Sioux War Chief much larger than Rushmore & was started in 1948!
I am glad you got to see Mt. Rushmore. It is in beautiful scenic area. We spent a week up there in that area. We drove through Custer nat. park. That is where all the buffalo are that was in the movie Dances with Wolves. Be safe. Love the Vlogs.
Me and my wife are planning a trout fishing and turkey hunting trip to the Black hills this spring. Any tips on names of streams and places to camp. Thanks great videos. We are so jealous.
My 1st bow hunt in Utah I hunted on public land BLM mix I believe and it seemed to me that I would see more deer when I saw cows. It may have been because the noise and movement of the cows disguised my movement, scent or presents I can't say, I just realized that fact and tried using it to my advantage.
Hey kiddo. Eating dinner and I get a ding on my phone. New Allie video. Nice to see some of Nick. Good looking dude. Way too much hair since your bops has none. Be safe. Any special place you want to be for the 4th? Be safe. Blessings......
Nick's using Montana shoeshine. LOL !!! That wasn't a mountain goat. That was Eva Marie Saint from North by Northwest. Classic Hitchcock..., great movie. You should have reenacted that famous scene. Next time...,tell Nicko to first check his immediate area before he gets into his burpees! That could have been much worse ya know. Nick showering with the bovines in the background... LOL !!! Love the updates. You guys crack me up.
Agreed, dog poop is worse than cow poop. Also yes, deer seem to avoid cows, which is interesting to me. Glad to know Mount Rushmore is worth visiting. I had heard it was anti-climactic, so I've debated putting it on the travel list. Hope to make it out there someday!
An odd thing I learned in your video is that the States numbered in war order they joined the Union. I have always assumed that the 13 original colonies joined as a group as 1 union with no order of 1st or last.
I'd step in cow shit to be on that adventure mount Rushmore looks amazing guys thanks for sharing looking forward to more. PS don't forget to put in for ya PA elk tag. Just saying.
you guys are funny you're like a young old couple talking about how you smell going to see sights and cow poop anyway looks like you're having fun keep it up
Outdoors Allie, Tall, long legs, slender hips. Mmmm Well we be thinking thou mayest be just a weee bit older than Nick, aye ?. It's Ok, we are sure you'll do a fine job raising up the young'un. By the way, Do you think the space next to Lincoln would fit "The Donald"? Quack Quack... Just a thought though, scrape the dew off his shoes, and if ye may drag a few pies along, it works great for cooking sum beans N bacon in the morning...
I was afraid he might taste it too.. :-) Nick's Ok, Just slow.. She's dragging em along for the ride.. I think he'll be alwright... She won't urt em...
