I will always have a soft spot for Pachirisu. The second ranger game, Shadows of Almia, was actually my first Pokémon game. The partner I picked was Pachirisu, and he stuck with me up until the end. Plus it’s just really cute, can’t beat that.

Primal Dialga is the English name. It was called Dark Dialga in Japan and has nothing to do with Primal Reversion. So, sadly it won't be brought over to Sinnoh remakes.
Dominic Moras I know, but they’d got a design for Dialga that looks good. I can’t see how they could beat it for an actual Primal form or something. And Gigantamax or whatever just wouldn’t make sense for either Dialga or Palkia, cuz then they could do that AND hold their respective orbs. If they get new forms, it’s definitely gonna be Primals to parallel Groudon and Kyogre.

12:04 except that to get gigantamax form the diamond and pearl starters would have to appear in sword and shield as the Galar region is the only place where galar particles exist, much like how alola is the only place that Z-moves can be used, both dinamaxing and Z-moves are regional things, you can't find them outside their respective regions
Honestly, when D/P/Pt came out, I really liked Rotom because it was cool. The unique ability to change forms with machines was awesome. But the recent uses of it in the game, with the Rotom dex being annoying to me in Gen 7, and it’s common appearance making the Gen 4 encounter seem less exciting has made me dislike it in recent years. In terms of my top 10, since this was my starting generation, it’s hard. The two Pokémon I have the strongest bonds with are Torterra who was my first starter, and Luxray, which I feel has become my signature Pokémon if I were to have one. 1. Luxray 2. Torterra 3. Torterra is my second favorite Pokémon of all time. Tortoises are my favorite animals (I even own one in real life), and I love how it has its own ecosystem on its back that Pokémon live in. The only Pokémon I like more is Kingdra due to nostalgia.

Darkrai is my favorite gen 4 pokemon. I was so stoked to catch it as my first shiny legendary in Pokemon go. I can't wait for the day when the gen 4 remakes become a thing. You can bet that I am bringing it along

Pokemon Platinum is one of my favourite games I've ever played. Like I found the story very engaging and just the whole game was so much fun when I first played it. And not to forget the whole end section of the main story, from when you get to spear pillar to traversing the Distortion World and taking on Giratina. Honestly, I hope that if and when we do get Diamond and Pearl remakes that they're based more on Platinum than on the two main games. Anywho, as for my top ten Sinnoh pokémon 10. Spiritomb 9. Torterra is my favorite starter of all time and you just said the reasons as to why i love him too but i also call him Garchomps awkward cousin because of how they are both weak to ice and that they are strong ground types but that's a me thing. I also love Garchomp so much he is a land shark that can SWIM FLY AND DIG and is just speedy as hell at least if you go by the anime!
Aw man, this is the hardest one! Whenever I try to do a list of my favorite Gen 4 Pokemon, I always end up breaking it up into two separate lists: one for wholly original Pokemon, and one for new evolutions to older Pokemon. I'm gonna try and do one list, so here goes… 1. Shaymin (one of my favorite Mythical Pokemon; I love flowers and my mom loves hedgehogs) 2. Lucario (it looks really cool, interesting origins, its Mega is busted but it's still good in its regular form, it's fun to play in Super Smash Bros. and its movie is great) 3. Roserade (I already liked Roselia, but this evolution sent me over the moon) 4. Togekiss (it looks like a little angel fairy, and Serene Grace shenanigans are always fun to use) 5. Cresselia (one of my favorite Legendary Pokemon; it's beautiful and bulky and its Shiny is pretty) 6. Garchomp (one of only three cases where the original is vastly superior to the Mega) 7. Mamoswine (a very beneficial and good-looking evolution, plus I have a 100% IV one in Pokemon GO) 8. Weavile (taking an okay Pokemon and turning it into a great one is always fine by me) 9. Gallade/Froslass (very cool evolution concepts, and both are worth having on any team) 10. All three starters (Infernape is the best in game but it and Empoleon are the best competitively, and I like Torterra because it's the only one I used in the TCGO, and I love how they're based on different legendary figures from around the world) Honorable mentions: Staraptor, Kricketune, Luxray, Lopunny, Mismagius, Honchkrow, Spiritomb, Abomasnow (I have a 100% IV one in Pokemon GO), Magnezone, Leafeon, Glaceon, Yanmega, Gliscor, Dusknoir, Rotom, Manaphy, Darkrai (I use one named Xemnas on one of my Kingdom Hearts teams)
I personally have a bad taste in my memory's for gliscore, because my older brother had a very over powered one, and every time i would battle him, he would beat me, i hated his gliscore, and having Luxray/Shinx as my favorite Pokemon didn't help. So whenever i see that Pokemon i just think of being crushed by his gliscore.
When I play HGSS I sometimes send a leafeon or glaceon and a sinnoh starter for the play through ❤️ (Currently this play I used a leafeon with bullet seed tm and a shinx with egg move ice fang with my physical cynda with aerial ace and when evolved I’ll give it a thunder punch from the relearner in my Platinum after I get it evolved and halfway the main story in my copy of SS)
I started Pokémon in Emerald so I always have a place in my heart for it, but I LOVE Sinnoh. Like I love my hometown but I want to move to New York one day, that’s how I see Hoenn and Sinnoh 😂

It’s funny you mention Rotom and awesome cause no one talks about it. There’s a lot of charm to it. The mow form also looks like an evil dr Seuss character and it’s type combo is real neat.
I also discovered the joys and power of Gliscor but a while ago! I also love Lucario, Garchomp, shaymin, darkrai and Luxray. I wish Luxray was more powerful. The starters are also great in Sinnoh! Fun video thanks!

Turtwig family, Torterra was my beast of my team, fond memories like you, of imaging it in battle. And me riding it's back as it stomps earthquakes everywhere (favour starter Pokémon by far.) 4. Shinx family (who doesn't love this elecy boii) 5. Starly line (I love starlings in real life, so why wouldn't I love the pokeversion.) 6. Lucario (I didn't actually use this Pokémon until Black2\white2, then I found out how good it was.) 7. Crogunk family (much like the above Pokémon, I didn't use and like this until much later in the generations gen 6 is where I first used one, and found out it's pretty good) 8. Snover family (little angry snow covered pine trees...what's not to love?? ) 9. Carivine (why was this not like an alternative evolution for bellsprout?? I mean, they gave oddish one?? But not it's pitcher plant cousin!! Grrr, love Carivine, but don't feel it was given enough love.) ... And finally, number 10.... ... Bidoof....is not my number ten. ... It's skorupi, love that little thing, it's evolution kinda let's it down a tad, but still.
Darkrai used to be my 3rd favorite Pokémon of all of them. But ever since that scene of darkrai with those skinny legs poking out of its bottom that I can’t get out of my head, I can’t look at it the same way...
My tastes have changed, but for a while now, a fairly forgotten or at least less popular Sinnoh Pokemon has become my all-time favorite Pokemon, Honchkrow. It's not necessarily the coolest or cutest looking Pokemon, but I just love the theme and attitude within the Pokemon. The mob boss theme is super cool and the design is awesome too. Plus it may not be top tier or anything, but it's definitely got its use in the main series games. I was also heartbroken to not see it in SwSh (despite almost knowing it wouldn't be there because it gives kinda similar vibes to Corviknight). Would have LOOOOVED to see a steampunk-style Galarian Honchkrow and Murkrow

Behind Gigalith it is my favourite rock type. 5 - Mammoswine : It is my second favourite ice type, my first being Lapras. 4 - Pachirisu : It is my favourite electric type. 3 - Toxicroak : It is my favourite poison type. I’ve recently been looking into keeping Poison Dart Frogs. 2 - Mismagius : It is in my top 5 favourite ghost types. 1 - Torterra : Being a Herpetologist I am interested in Reptiles and Amphibians. Tortoises (which Torterra is based on) are one my favourite animals. Torterra is also based on the Ankylosaurus which is my favourite Dinosaur. Torterra is my favourite fully evolved starter and ground type.
I have SO many feelings about Sinnoh Pokémon. I'm also a huge fan of Rotom! My absolute favourite, although not very original, is the Shinx line. My first playthrough, it immediately became my favourite and I've never done a Sinnoh run without one. I love Buneary partly because of the anime and partly because it's one of my favourite shinies. Turtwig line absolutely rocks. Staraptor is awesome. Toxicroak is wonderful. The best mythical Pokémon set we've ever had imo. I agree Gliscor is amazing, I love Weavile and Roserade in the same vein. I could go on! Sinnoh mons absolutely smashed it, and it's not my favourite gen to play through but it's absolutely up there!
My favourite Sinnoh Pokemon of all time is Lucario. Not only do I love the design but the movie literally stuck with me. I loved the Lucario in the movie and ever since, I fell in love.

Honorable mentions go to Buizel, Floatzel, Magmortar, Electivire, Tangrowth, Pachirisu, Cherrim, Weavile, Ambipom, Lopunny, Chatot, Mismagius, Spiritomb, Hippowdon, Carnivine, and Gliscor. For the record, this could change if I finish my personal playthroughs of Diamond & Pearl. Some of the Pokémon that are being used on my teams that aren't in my Top 10 or Top 15 are Infernape, Floatzel, Magmortar, Pachirisu, Chatot, Mismagius, and Carnivine.
The Manaphy movie is in my top 5 Pokémon movies. Partly because it’s the Advanceshipping movie and I’m an Advanceshipper but also it’s a very beautiful movie as the last cel animated Pokémon movie and one that uses the ocean as a setting with enough water Pokémon available to give it a nice variety compared to the ocean shots in Power of One (which is also in my top 5). Pokémon Advanced Generation was also my favourite arc of the anime so of course it was going to have a couple of movies in the top 5.
I'm a little sad because when I transferred stuff over with Pokemon home from last year's event or was it 2018 where they give away all the legendaries and didn't let me keep my Arceus or Manphy
When I was younger I had a manaphy and many phiony on my copy of platinum, same with shaymin and all the other legendary, I was able to save a few like shiny raiku and celebi but sadly I don’t have my old copy anymore and without owning a copy of almia or action replay I’ll probs never have them again
I do like quite a lot of Sinnoh Pokemon. I like Garchomp, Giratina, Empoleon and Gliscor from your list best. Interesting that the mythical Pokemon you like are from your least favourtie Pokemon movies (though I do like those movies and quite like those Pokemon too).

Top 10 from Sinnoh?! Not sure really but here's my best guess: 10. Drapion - Skorupi was cool and I was not expecting this evolution 9. Toxicroak - underrated MVP here. Didn't use for several runs, but when I did it did some serious damage! 8. Weavile - not used one yet but I've always wanted to. Epic design. 7. Bronzong - loved the design and was super curious about Bronzor. 6. Spiritomb - Cynthia using this was a huge surprise. Didn't know the typing, and had no idea what it was! A true test upon reaching the champion. 5. Abomasnow - probably not the right number but whatever XD Snow Warning + Blizzard? Swept the Battle Tower with this guy. 4. Luxray - Totally unexpected result from the little Shinx you find at the start. Awesome, powerful, got the job done. 3. Vespiquen - Didn't use until White 2 but seeing Aaron's in the League was so cool! Very unique moveset. 2. Dialga - epic design, first legendary. 1. Torterra - First starter, first lvl 100, all the nostalgia here.
I wonder is Legends Arceus will do anything special with Rotom. As we know, electronics (for the most part) aren't a think in that game, do what will Rotom be taking over for it's forms?

I can agree pretty well with your favorites I think mine would go like this 10. Garchomp 9. I think I'd tie Weavile Spiritomb and Staraptor here I love all 3 but I'm not the most attached to them I could be over the years. They werw really only beloved in gen 4 for me but I never lost it. 8.Roserade I love it it has the cool masquerade vibe and is a great well rounded grass type 7. Honchkrow I love it sooo much it's a mafia boss I loved Murkrow and it's witch-crow things. I love crows I love Honchkrow it is just lovely. 6. Giratina I mean it's a dragon demon I love it. 5. Gallade and yes one part of that is the Wally bias. Though I love Gallade just cause it is really cool and I love having a physical psychic type that isn't just medicham. Plus cool sword arms! 4. Shaymin it's adorable and it was the first legendary mythical I ever got by myself (given I guess I used walkthrough to stumble on it) it reminds me of the excitement of discovering it by surprise with a friend 3. Luxray it is cool I love it's design and I have kept it along some of my main teams throughout the series and is a great electric type 2. Torterra more so than Turtwig but I do like Turtwig. Torterra is just Soooo cool! It's a turtle that is a walking forest. 1. Piplup/Empoleon I'm biased I love Dawn's Piplup's sass. I loved Piplup cause it was cute. I actually didn't like Empoleon much at first but ya know what sold it to me? Pokemon Rangers Shadows of Almnia and riding Empoleon in freezing water through giant iceburgs. And the artwork that went with it cause I went from seeing it as an oddly shaped bird with a trident for a face to like a cool magestic emperor penguine with the strength to crush iceburgs with it's golden face crown. Idk why. But now I kinda love it. It has a regal vibe it didk't back when I exclusively liked the cute pokemon and it was one of the first Pokemon besides Luxray and the Hoenn starters to convince me that pokemon didn't all have to be cute and smol for me to like them thus sparking my love of and obsession with Alalkazam.
I think if the series of games were to come to an end, they should remake all games into a single gen so you can have access to every region and all of the Pokémon throughout your games, with each reaction still having their theme i.e. Kalos would still have a big part in mega evolution

Question...could Gliscor actually have been a regional Crobat? I mean the designs of their line are similar and yes but Gligar is pink in colour to purple shiny and although Zubat and Golbat go purple to green shiny...the Crobat is also a pink shiny. Yet their designs are not too dissimilar. If you have covered this and I have missed it I apologise but surely there has to be some theoretical link here? Especially with the change in shiny colour from Golbat to Crobat and how the Gliscor line is the colour inverse...do we actually have the first 5 stage evolution in Pokemon? Omg a poketuber who likes Manaphy! 😁😆 YES!!!!!!! Manaphy is my favorite Pokemon ever and it gets over shadowed by other mythicals. It literally has its own egg design which looks really cool, it can breed which is interesting and I’d like to know the mystery behind Phione, and it is so darn cute! Pokemon Ranger was really fun to play so I didn’t feel like I was grinding to finish the game so I could have Manaphy. I’ll never forget when I sent that egg to Pokemon Diamond through the help of my neighborhood friend and I was so happy when I hatched it. I still have it to this day and its a Jolly nature so I run a physical attack set on it.
I am happy that I am not the only one visualizing my Pokemons battling while battling in the game Also, I too used my own Garchomp against Cynthia's Garchomp. Mine was better :) Also, I regret not going back to the Old Chateau after getting Cut from Cynthia and catching Rotom. It's a Pokemon I wanted in my team, but at some point I forgot about it because I was absorbed into the story, so in the end I have Luxray instead.
You should definitely do a 10 least favourite list. I don't love sinnoh pokemon as much as most so it was a bit difficult picking a full 10 so I'm just gonna say my current playthrough team cos they're all awesome - Torterra Infernape Staraptor Floatzel Luxray Frosslass Honorable mention to Gliscor cos it's just one of the coolest pokemon there is.
Curious based on what Toby has said over the last couple vids, is it generally believe Dynamax will continue as a gimmick past SWSH? I thought it was pretty heavily set up as a Galar specific thing. Personally reapply hoping we dont see it again and we get more interesting mega evolutions again by the time of potential Sinnoh remakes. Unsure.
Well, I don't think it will continue. We don't have megas and Z moves any more. Although Mega stones did keep for a while, but put on the back burner for many things.

Gen 4's where I started. Back as a little kid I got this game and the big clunky DS and played it till that thing broke in half. Then I got another DS and kept playing till I lost the cartridge. Then I got White and kept going. Still, looking back at the dex, it was surprisingly hard to pick out favorites. Between previous gen pokemon filling the region, forgetting most of my team, and a strange lack of nostalgia, I don't have much of a connection with most of them. But I still decided to go back and pick mine out, so let's start with- Number 10: Luxray. Let me preface this entry by saying as a kid, I SUCKED at pokemon. Big time. Every time I saw my cousin I had to run over and beg him to show me where I'm supposed to go next, and even with all that downtime I was still so underleveled that I couldn't beat the E4. I don't remember how far I got, but IDK if I ever even reached Cynthia. So yea, bad. My friend though, he'd already beaten the game, and he decided to let me borrow a couple of his pokemon. One of them was lost to history, but the other was a level... I wanna say 98 luxray. Those two let me sweep through the E4 and feel like a god doing so. I still feel bad sometimes that I lost my cartridge before returning them. Number 9: Honchkrow. This man was my number two when I played through the game. I remember every time I found an evolution stone, I would check to see if any members of my party could use it. Most of the time, it was a big old no. Then honchkrow showed up and let me use a dusk stone. And lemme say he made use of it. I had a lot of fun with him, and when I borrowed that luxray, he was collateral. I'll miss that bird brained boss. Number 8: Darkrai. He looks cool, and my cousin blew my mind when he showed me how to get this guy. Number 7: Buneary. Loppuny partially, but if I had to pick one I think buneary. First, this thing is just adorable, simple as that., second, I like how Bun Li over here turns into a kick boxing champ when it mega evolves. And third, I just find it kinda funny. This thing evolves with happiness, and its the ONLY pokemon besides legendaries that starts with absolutely none of it. Its freaking angry. I really wish they'd steer into that somewhere TBH. Number 6: Froslass. She's just a cool pokemon with a good design IMO. Add in her chilling pokedex entries that pretty much say that if it needs a centerpiece for its cave, you don't stand a ghost of a chance. (I think I'm done) Number 5: Togekiss. I'm a fairy type trainer. Even if they weren't out yet, you really think I'm gonna just let a list go by without repping that somewhere? Number 4: Cresselia. I've bumped into her a few times. In black 2 I found it on marvelous bridge. In explorers of time, she saved me from Darkrai. And here in gen 4, she ran around like a wimp until I finally caught her. Good times. Number 3: Arceus himself. If I was surprised by Darkrai, god was a different matter. I hd an action replay, so my cousin cheated me in an azure flute, and showed me how to walk up, look god in the eye, and throw a purple ball at him so he would obey me. My brother at the time had already had one, that he got from buying a used copy that had everything at level 100 and all that bull (No, I'm not salty. not at all.) In the short gap of gen 5 before he transfered everything, I was king, and then he got this guy back and reminded me what a king is to a god. Number 2: Dialga, my box legendary and the master of time itself. I remember fighting this guy in explorers, and I remember him kicking all the but in diamond. He's my dude. Honorable mentions: Budew, shaymin, Lucario, the other two starters. And number 1, my first ever pokemon. The monster who was always on my team and always ready to kick some butt. Who to this day taints my starter choice and makes me more likely to pick his than the other two. TREEMAN and the rest of the Torterra family. How can he not have a special place in my heart when I say it like that. I'm still so sad that I'll never get to bring him to the gen 4 remakes. Still, I know when they come I'm gonna go through them with a new turtwig named in his honor. Even if Pangea is a better nickname for the species...

Here is my Top 10 Sinnoh-Pokémon: 10: Mismagius - I just love this Ghost and a very nessesary evolution to Misdreavus. I love the hat Mismagius has and it's design is just so spotless of the ghostly and the witch-inspiration. 9: Electivire - Another evolution for a Pokémon in an older generation. This time they took Electabuzz and made him even more intimidating and looking så beastly and great! I might also like it more just because I have seen one of Ace Trainer Liam's let's plays with his "Armstrong" and that was splendid! 8: Mamoswine - If I think about Ice-types I like Mamoswine and Lapras always comes in mind and Mamoswine is so strong-looking and also very clever design. Instead of doing a mammoth they did more like an ancient Pig-mammoth and that is just.. Brilliant. 7: Luxray - This is the early electric-type I bet the majority had in their team playing through Sinnoh. Shinx is supercute so when you train it and it evolves to this supercool Pokémon... It really have a great spot in any team (at least in the begining!). Sure it's not my absolute favorite electric-type from Sinnoh even but it is a great one nonetheless. 6: Lucario - Lucario has such a great design and look so awesome. It might be very much for the movie he is in but it can be that since I bound with my Lucario I got in X & Y so much I grew to appretiate it even more! Sometimes you can get better time bounding with a Pokémon in another Gen then it came from. 5: Toxicroak - I might think much about how that frog stands in it's art. I am just so inspired to use one when I see one and much might be because he looks like he really could beat anything and poison you with a fast punch. What really is selling this Pokémon is also that frogs are fashinating to look at. 4: Magnezone - This is my favorite Electric-type from Sinnoh. I would say that it before has been my favorite electric-type ever but that spot have gotten to Alolan Raichu. But I do love the UFO-Concept that this Pokémon seems to have and it is so cool. 3: Honchkrow - Again it fell on the design and the hat-aspect but also that this looks amazing and feels really like a mob-boss. Someone like a Mobster could really have this to get some status. I also feel that before Gen 8 this was the closest we had to a Raven/Crow. 2: Spiritomb - This is just one of the coolest design ever and it's shiny is even more amazing. Ghost-type Pokémon in generall are cool but this is just so great. Also the dark lore about it having 108 souls inside it is both creepy and very interesting. 1: Infernape - A starter is my favorite? Well it is the one that I have had the best bounding with and it is a Monkey. I am very much for monkey-like Pokémon. It is fire-type which I usually start with in every Gen (Except Gen 7 where I choosed Rowlet) and also it is the best looking of the Fire/Fighting trio (Gen 3,4 and 5). So that is why!

Primal Dialga is the English name. It was called Dark Dialga in Japan and has nothing to do with Primal Reversion. So, sadly it won't be brought over to Sinnoh remakes.

If they get new forms, it’s definitely gonna be Primals to parallel Groudon and Kyogre.

Honestly, when D/P/Pt came out, I really liked Rotom because it was cool. The unique ability to change forms with machines was awesome. But the recent uses of it in the game, with the Rotom dex being annoying to me in Gen 7, and it’s common appearance making the Gen 4 encounter seem less exciting has made me dislike it in recent years.
In terms of my top 10, since this was my starting generation, it’s hard.
The two Pokémon I have the strongest bonds with are Torterra who was my first starter, and Luxray, which I feel has become my signature Pokémon if I were to have one.

Sinnoh was my first pokemon game. I played diamond when I was 10 years old and have replayed it and platinum countless times over the next 11 years.
Sinnoh kinda makes me nostalgic as well. Really love it so much.

Pokemon Platinum is one of my favourite games I've ever played. Like I found the story very engaging and just the whole game was so much fun when I first played it. And not to forget the whole end section of the main story, from when you get to spear pillar to traversing the Distortion World and taking on Giratina. Honestly, I hope that if and when we do get Diamond and Pearl remakes that they're based more on Platinum than on the two main games.

Aw man, this is the hardest one! Whenever I try to do a list of my favorite Gen 4 Pokemon, I always end up breaking it up into two separate lists: one for wholly original Pokemon, and one for new evolutions to older Pokemon. I'm gonna try and do one list, so here goes…
1. Shaymin (one of my favorite Mythical Pokemon; I love flowers and my mom loves hedgehogs)
2. Lucario (it looks really cool, interesting origins, its Mega is busted but it's still good in its regular form, it's fun to play in Super Smash Bros. and its movie is great)
3. Roserade (I already liked Roselia, but this evolution sent me over the moon)
4. Togekiss (it looks like a little angel fairy, and Serene Grace shenanigans are always fun to use)
5. Cresselia (one of my favorite Legendary Pokemon; it's beautiful and bulky and its Shiny is pretty)
6. Garchomp (one of only three cases where the original is vastly superior to the Mega)
7. Mamoswine (a very beneficial and good-looking evolution, plus I have a 100% IV one in Pokemon GO)
8. Weavile (taking an okay Pokemon and turning it into a great one is always fine by me)
9. Gallade/Froslass (very cool evolution concepts, and both are worth having on any team)
10. All three starters (Infernape is the best in game but it and Empoleon are the best competitively, and I like Torterra because it's the only one I used in the TCGO, and I love how they're based on different legendary figures from around the world)
Honorable mentions: Staraptor, Kricketune, Luxray, Lopunny, Mismagius, Honchkrow, Spiritomb, Abomasnow (I have a 100% IV one in Pokemon GO), Magnezone, Leafeon, Glaceon, Yanmega, Gliscor, Dusknoir, Rotom, Manaphy, Darkrai (I use one named Xemnas on one of my Kingdom Hearts teams)
I personally have a bad taste in my memory's for gliscore, because my older brother had a very over powered one, and every time i would battle him, he would beat me, i hated his gliscore, and having Luxray/Shinx as my favorite Pokemon didn't help. So whenever i see that Pokemon i just think of being crushed by his gliscore.

I had a Toxic Heal Gliscor on a fighting team I used to use until Sw/Sh. Fantastic Pokemon.
My tastes have changed, but for a while now, a fairly forgotten or at least less popular Sinnoh Pokemon has become my all-time favorite Pokemon, Honchkrow. It's not necessarily the coolest or cutest looking Pokemon, but I just love the theme and attitude within the Pokemon. The mob boss theme is super cool and the design is awesome too. Plus it may not be top tier or anything, but it's definitely got its use in the main series games.
I was also heartbroken to not see it in SwSh (despite almost knowing it wouldn't be there because it gives kinda similar vibes to Corviknight). Would have LOOOOVED to see a steampunk-style Galarian Honchkrow and Murkrow

9 - Frosslass : Despite being so low on the list it is one of my favourite ice types.
8 - Hippowdon : It is my second favourite ground type.
7 - Garchomp : It is one of my favourite ground and dragon types.
6 - Bonsly : Bonsai Trees are a hobby of mine so having a Pokémon to represent that is great. Behind Gigalith it is my favourite rock type.
5 - Mammoswine : It is my second favourite ice type, my first being Lapras.
4 - Pachirisu : It is my favourite electric type.
3 - Toxicroak : It is my favourite poison type. I’ve recently been looking into keeping Poison Dart Frogs.
2 - Mismagius : It is in my top 5 favourite ghost types.
1 - Torterra : Being a Herpetologist I am interested in Reptiles and Amphibians. Tortoises (which Torterra is based on) are one my favourite animals. Torterra is also based on the Ankylosaurus which is my favourite Dinosaur. Torterra is my favourite fully evolved starter and ground type.
I think it’s cool when the mythical Pokémon is known it’s makes them more elusive like so many ppl know of it but it’s not really obtainable

I have SO many feelings about Sinnoh Pokémon. I'm also a huge fan of Rotom! My absolute favourite, although not very original, is the Shinx line. My first playthrough, it immediately became my favourite and I've never done a Sinnoh run without one. I love Buneary partly because of the anime and partly because it's one of my favourite shinies. Turtwig line absolutely rocks. Staraptor is awesome. Toxicroak is wonderful. The best mythical Pokémon set we've ever had imo. I agree Gliscor is amazing, I love Weavile and Roserade in the same vein. I could go on! Sinnoh mons absolutely smashed it, and it's not my favourite gen to play through but it's absolutely up there!
My favourite Sinnoh Pokemon of all time is Lucario. Not only do I love the design but the movie literally stuck with me. I loved the Lucario in the movie and ever since, I fell in love.

The Manaphy movie is in my top 5 Pokémon movies. Partly because it’s the Advanceshipping movie and I’m an Advanceshipper but also it’s a very beautiful movie as the last cel animated Pokémon movie and one that uses the ocean as a setting with enough water Pokémon available to give it a nice variety compared to the ocean shots in Power of One (which is also in my top 5). Pokémon Advanced Generation was also my favourite arc of the anime so of course it was going to have a couple of movies in the top 5.
I'm a little sad because when I transferred stuff over with Pokemon home from last year's event or was it 2018 where they give away all the legendaries and didn't let me keep my Arceus or Manphy
When I was younger I had a manaphy and many phiony on my copy of platinum, same with shaymin and all the other legendary, I was able to save a few like shiny raiku and celebi but sadly I don’t have my old copy anymore and without owning a copy of almia or action replay I’ll probs never have them again
I do like quite a lot of Sinnoh Pokemon. I like Garchomp, Giratina, Empoleon and Gliscor from your list best. Interesting that the mythical Pokemon you like are from your least favourtie Pokemon movies (though I do like those movies and quite like those Pokemon too).
My last playthrough, I had to cheese the garchomp with destiny bond, and even then, I had to hope for good RNG and that the dragon rush would miss.

10. Drapion - Skorupi was cool and I was not expecting this evolution
9. Toxicroak - underrated MVP here. Didn't use for several runs, but when I did it did some serious damage!
8. Weavile - not used one yet but I've always wanted to. Epic design.
7. Bronzong - loved the design and was super curious about Bronzor.
6. Spiritomb - Cynthia using this was a huge surprise. Didn't know the typing, and had no idea what it was! A true test upon reaching the champion.
5. Abomasnow - probably not the right number but whatever XD Snow Warning + Blizzard? Swept the Battle Tower with this guy.
4. Luxray - Totally unexpected result from the little Shinx you find at the start. Awesome, powerful, got the job done.
3. Vespiquen - Didn't use until White 2 but seeing Aaron's in the League was so cool! Very unique moveset.

9. I think I'd tie Weavile Spiritomb and Staraptor here I love all 3 but I'm not the most attached to them I could be over the years. They werw really only beloved in gen 4 for me but I never lost it.
8.Roserade I love it it has the cool masquerade vibe and is a great well rounded grass type
7. Honchkrow I love it sooo much it's a mafia boss I loved Murkrow and it's witch-crow things. I love crows I love Honchkrow it is just lovely.
6. Giratina I mean it's a dragon demon I love it.
5. Gallade and yes one part of that is the Wally bias. Though I love Gallade just cause it is really cool and I love having a physical psychic type that isn't just medicham. Plus cool sword arms!
4. Shaymin it's adorable and it was the first legendary mythical I ever got by myself (given I guess I used walkthrough to stumble on it) it reminds me of the excitement of discovering it by surprise with a friend
3. Luxray it is cool I love it's design and I have kept it along some of my main teams throughout the series and is a great electric type
2. Torterra more so than Turtwig but I do like Turtwig. Torterra is just Soooo cool! It's a turtle that is a walking forest.
1. Piplup/Empoleon I'm biased I love Dawn's Piplup's sass. I loved Piplup cause it was cute. I actually didn't like Empoleon much at first but ya know what sold it to me? Pokemon Rangers Shadows of Almnia and riding Empoleon in freezing water through giant iceburgs. And the artwork that went with it cause I went from seeing it as an oddly shaped bird with a trident for a face to like a cool magestic emperor penguine with the strength to crush iceburgs with it's golden face crown. Idk why. But now I kinda love it. It has a regal vibe it didk't back when I exclusively liked the cute pokemon and it was one of the first Pokemon besides Luxray and the Hoenn starters to convince me that pokemon didn't all have to be cute and smol for me to like them thus sparking my love of and obsession with Alalkazam.
I think if the series of games were to come to an end, they should remake all games into a single gen so you can have access to every region and all of the Pokémon throughout your games, with each reaction still having their theme i.e. Kalos would still have a big part in mega evolution
I find that every pokemon that has an e at the end of their name, toby pronounces that e like "ay", even if the e is silent
with swampert, gliscor, and toterra, are you sure youre a bird keeper and not a hiker? btw, toterra is probably top 5 pokemon for me as well although im not at all a sinnoh fan.
Question...could Gliscor actually have been a regional Crobat? I mean the designs of their line are similar and yes but Gligar is pink in colour to purple shiny and although Zubat and Golbat go purple to green shiny...the Crobat is also a pink shiny. Yet their designs are not too dissimilar. If you have covered this and I have missed it I apologise but surely there has to be some theoretical link here? Especially with the change in shiny colour from Golbat to Crobat and how the Gliscor line is the colour inverse...do we actually have the first 5 stage evolution in Pokemon? Are we missing a baby evolution to make it regional?

Omg a poketuber who likes Manaphy! 😁😆 YES!!!!!!! Manaphy is my favorite Pokemon ever and it gets over shadowed by other mythicals. It literally has its own egg design which looks really cool, it can breed which is interesting and I’d like to know the mystery behind Phione, and it is so darn cute! Pokemon Ranger was really fun to play so I didn’t feel like I was grinding to finish the game so I could have Manaphy. I’ll never forget when I sent that egg to Pokemon Diamond through the help of my neighborhood friend and I was so happy when I hatched it. I still have it to this day and its a Jolly nature so I run a physical attack set on it.
I am happy that I am not the only one visualizing my Pokemons battling while battling in the game
Also, I too used my own Garchomp against Cynthia's Garchomp. Mine was better :)
Also, I regret not going back to the Old Chateau after getting Cut from Cynthia and catching Rotom. It's a Pokemon I wanted in my team, but at some point I forgot about it because I was absorbed into the story, so in the end I have Luxray instead.

You should definitely do a 10 least favourite list. I don't love sinnoh pokemon as much as most so it was a bit difficult picking a full 10 so I'm just gonna say my current playthrough team cos they're all awesome -

Curious based on what Toby has said over the last couple vids, is it generally believe Dynamax will continue as a gimmick past SWSH?
I thought it was pretty heavily set up as a Galar specific thing. Personally reapply hoping we dont see it again and we get more interesting mega evolutions again by the time of potential Sinnoh remakes. Unsure.
Well, I don't think it will continue. We don't have megas and Z moves any more. Although Mega stones did keep for a while, but put on the back burner for many things.
@@mrsirty3019 definitely seems so. Idk hopefully we happen to get megas back. Megas + regional variations are a decent gimmick combo for me

Gen 4's where I started. Back as a little kid I got this game and the big clunky DS and played it till that thing broke in half. Then I got another DS and kept playing till I lost the cartridge. Then I got White and kept going. Still, looking back at the dex, it was surprisingly hard to pick out favorites. Between previous gen pokemon filling the region, forgetting most of my team, and a strange lack of nostalgia, I don't have much of a connection with most of them. But I still decided to go back and pick mine out, so let's start with-
Number 10: Luxray. Let me preface this entry by saying as a kid, I SUCKED at pokemon. Big time. Every time I saw my cousin I had to run over and beg him to show me where I'm supposed to go next, and even with all that downtime I was still so underleveled that I couldn't beat the E4. I don't remember how far I got, but IDK if I ever even reached Cynthia. So yea, bad. My friend though, he'd already beaten the game, and he decided to let me borrow a couple of his pokemon. One of them was lost to history, but the other was a level... I wanna say 98 luxray. Those two let me sweep through the E4 and feel like a god doing so. I still feel bad sometimes that I lost my cartridge before returning them.
Number 9: Honchkrow. This man was my number two when I played through the game. I remember every time I found an evolution stone, I would check to see if any members of my party could use it. Most of the time, it was a big old no. Then honchkrow showed up and let me use a dusk stone. And lemme say he made use of it. I had a lot of fun with him, and when I borrowed that luxray, he was collateral. I'll miss that bird brained boss.
Number 8: Darkrai. He looks cool, and my cousin blew my mind when he showed me how to get this guy.
Number 7: Buneary. Loppuny partially, but if I had to pick one I think buneary. First, this thing is just adorable, simple as that., second, I like how Bun Li over here turns into a kick boxing champ when it mega evolves. And third, I just find it kinda funny. This thing evolves with happiness, and its the ONLY pokemon besides legendaries that starts with absolutely none of it. Its freaking angry. I really wish they'd steer into that somewhere TBH.
Number 6: Froslass. She's just a cool pokemon with a good design IMO. Add in her chilling pokedex entries that pretty much say that if it needs a centerpiece for its cave, you don't stand a ghost of a chance. (I think I'm done)
Number 5: Togekiss. I'm a fairy type trainer. Even if they weren't out yet, you really think I'm gonna just let a list go by without repping that somewhere?
Number 4: Cresselia. I've bumped into her a few times. In black 2 I found it on marvelous bridge. In explorers of time, she saved me from Darkrai. And here in gen 4, she ran around like a wimp until I finally caught her. Good times.
Number 3: Arceus himself. If I was surprised by Darkrai, god was a different matter. I hd an action replay, so my cousin cheated me in an azure flute, and showed me how to walk up, look god in the eye, and throw a purple ball at him so he would obey me. My brother at the time had already had one, that he got from buying a used copy that had everything at level 100 and all that bull (No, I'm not salty. not at all.) In the short gap of gen 5 before he transfered everything, I was king, and then he got this guy back and reminded me what a king is to a god.
Number 2: Dialga, my box legendary and the master of time itself. I remember fighting this guy in explorers, and I remember him kicking all the but in diamond. He's my dude.
Honorable mentions: Budew, shaymin, Lucario, the other two starters.
And number 1, my first ever pokemon. The monster who was always on my team and always ready to kick some butt. Who to this day taints my starter choice and makes me more likely to pick his than the other two. TREEMAN and the rest of the Torterra family. How can he not have a special place in my heart when I say it like that. I'm still so sad that I'll never get to bring him to the gen 4 remakes. Still, I know when they come I'm gonna go through them with a new turtwig named in his honor. Even if Pangea is a better nickname for the species...
Still on the add. My guesses. Tottera, luxuray, yanmega, garchomp, rhyperior, possibly floatzel, dialga, darkrai, gliscore, and starraptor? Not in that order
Torterra, not Tottera, Luxray is not spelled with 2 U's, Gliscor does NOT end with an E, and Staraptor is not spelled with 3 R's!
No particular order but my top 10 sinnoh pokes are torterra, empoleon, luxray, lucario (because of the movie), crogunk, gallade, glaceon, leafeon, arceus (from a lore perspective) and the set of darkrai + cressellia... yes I know that’s 11 but I’m counting the last 2 as one.... honestly could count the eevees as one and if I did I’d add rotom
Here is my Top 10 Sinnoh-Pokémon:
10: Mismagius - I just love this Ghost and a very nessesary evolution to Misdreavus. I love the hat Mismagius has and it's design is just so spotless of the ghostly and the witch-inspiration.
9: Electivire - Another evolution for a Pokémon in an older generation. This time they took Electabuzz and made him even more intimidating and looking så beastly and great! I might also like it more just because I have seen one of Ace Trainer Liam's let's plays with his "Armstrong" and that was splendid!
8: Mamoswine - If I think about Ice-types I like Mamoswine and Lapras always comes in mind and Mamoswine is so strong-looking and also very clever design. Instead of doing a mammoth they did more like an ancient Pig-mammoth and that is just.. Brilliant.
7: Luxray - This is the early electric-type I bet the majority had in their team playing through Sinnoh. Shinx is supercute so when you train it and it evolves to this supercool Pokémon... It really have a great spot in any team (at least in the begining!). Sure it's not my absolute favorite electric-type from Sinnoh even but it is a great one nonetheless.
6: Lucario - Lucario has such a great design and look so awesome. It might be very much for the movie he is in but it can be that since I bound with my Lucario I got in X & Y so much I grew to appretiate it even more! Sometimes you can get better time bounding with a Pokémon in another Gen then it came from.
5: Toxicroak - I might think much about how that frog stands in it's art. I am just so inspired to use one when I see one and much might be because he looks like he really could beat anything and poison you with a fast punch. What really is selling this Pokémon is also that frogs are fashinating to look at.
4: Magnezone - This is my favorite Electric-type from Sinnoh. I would say that it before has been my favorite electric-type ever but that spot have gotten to Alolan Raichu. But I do love the UFO-Concept that this Pokémon seems to have and it is so cool.
3: Honchkrow - Again it fell on the design and the hat-aspect but also that this looks amazing and feels really like a mob-boss. Someone like a Mobster could really have this to get some status. I also feel that before Gen 8 this was the closest we had to a Raven/Crow.
2: Spiritomb - This is just one of the coolest design ever and it's shiny is even more amazing. Ghost-type Pokémon in generall are cool but this is just so great. Also the dark lore about it having 108 souls inside it is both creepy and very interesting.
1: Infernape - A starter is my favorite? Well it is the one that I have had the best bounding with and it is a Monkey. I am very much for monkey-like Pokémon. It is fire-type which I usually start with in every Gen (Except Gen 7 where I choosed Rowlet) and also it is the best looking of the Fire/Fighting trio (Gen 3,4 and 5). So that is why!
Gliscor is one of those extremely cool pokemon that I've never used. Can't wait to use one in the Gen IV remakes.
I don't have a Nintendo 3DS (or whatever you play Diamond/Pearl/Platinum on) so I really want the remakes so I can finally play!
